The attractive energy density of lithium-sulfur(li-S)batteries makes them desirable energy storage systems;however,the slow reaction kinetics and formation of lithium dendrites prevent them from reaching full potential.To address this issue,hierarchical porous carbon nanofibers network containing Zn single atoms(ZnSA@HPCNF)is synthesized by electrospinning and carbonization.This structure serves as the main anode body,providing excellent chemical anchoring and lipophilicity.The uniform distribution of Zn single atoms and N4coordination supports uniform deposition and continuous plating/stripping of lithium.The results show that the li|li/ZnSA@HPCNF symmetrical battery presents stable and low overpotential during 700-and 900-h iterative plating/stripping process at1 and 5 mA·cm^(-2),respectively.Furthermore,the S/CNT||li/ZnSA@HPCNF full cell shows good flexibility,reversible capacity and cycling stability.This work provides a lithium host strategy based on single-atom dispersed hierarchical porous carbon network,enabling the design of rational lithium metal anodes for use in flexible li-S full cells.

Effects of pulse magneto-oscillation on GCr15 bearing steel continuous casting billet

Pulse magneto-oscillation(PMO)added during solidification could affect the solidification structure and macrosegregation.A modified thermal simulation equipment was applied to prepare GCr15 bearing steel continuous casting billets with different PMO peak currents.Then,metallographic analysis,component analysis and numerical simulation were adopted to study the influence of PMO peak current and its mechanism.The sample with 150 K_(I)A PMO peak current treatment has little difference with the samples without PMO treatment on solidification structure and macrosegregation.As the peak currents are 250 and 350 K_(I)A,the columnar zone increases and macrosegregation aggravated.When 450 K_(I)A peak current is selected,the equiaxed grain ratio is enlarged,and the dendritic grains are refined,and the macrosegregation of C,Cr,Si and Mn is decreased significantly.By analyzing,different convections induced by PMO with various peak currents are the key factor to change the solidification structure and macrosegregation.

A Stable Open-Shell Conjugated Diradical Polymer with Ultra-High Photothermal Conversion Efficiency for NIR-Ⅱ Photo-Immunotherapy of Metastatic Tumor

Massive efforts have been concentrated on the advance of eminent near-infrared(NIR) photothermal materials(PTMs) in the NIR-Ⅱ window(1000–1700 nm), especially organic PTMs because of their intrinsic biological safety compared with inorganic PTMs. However, so far, only a few NIR-Ⅱresponsive organic PTMs was explored, and their photothermal conversion efficiencies(PCEs) still remain relatively low. Herein, donor–acceptor conjugated diradical polymers with open-shell characteristics are explored for synergistically photothermal immunotherapy of metastatic tumors in the NIR-Ⅱ window. By employing side-chain regulation, the conjugated diradical polymer TTB-2 with obvious NIR-Ⅱ absorption was developed, and its nanoparticles realize a record-breaking PCE of 87.7% upon NIR-Ⅱ light illustration. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that TTB-2 nanoparticles show good tumor photoablation with navigation of photoacoustic imaging in the NIR-Ⅱ window, without any side-effect. Moreover, by combining with PD-1 antibody,the pulmonary metastasis of breast cancer is high-effectively prevented by the efficient photo-immunity effect. Thus, this study explores superior PTMs for cancer metastasis theranostics in the NIR-Ⅱ window, offering a new horizon in developing radical-characteristic NIR-Ⅱ photothermal materials.

Inflammatory and Immunomodulatory Effects of Tripterygium wilfordii Multiglycoside in Mouse Models of Psoriasis Keratinocytes

Objective:To determine the role of Tripterygium wilfordii multiglycoside(TGW) in the treatment of psoriatic dermatitis from a cellular immunological perspective.Methods:Mouse models of psoriatic dermatitis were established by imiquimod(IMQ).Twelve male BALB/c mice were assigned to MQ or IMQ+TGW groups according to a random number table.Histopathological changes in vivo were assessed by hematoxylin and eosin staining.Ratios of immune cells and cytokines in mice,as well as PAM212 cell proliferation in vitro were assessed by flow cytometry.Pro-inflammatory cytokine expression was determined using reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction.Results:TGW significantly ameliorated the severity of IMQ-induced psoriasis-like mouse skin lesions and restrained the activation of CD45^(+)cells,neutrophils and T lymphocytes(all Pliferation and downregulated the mRNA levels of inflammatory cytokines including interleukin(IL)-17A,IL-23,tumor necrosis factor α,and chemokine(C-X-C motif) ligand 1(Plike inflammation by inhibiting KCs proliferation,as well as the associated immune cells and cytokine expression.It inhibited IL-17 secretion from γδ T cells,which improved the immune-inflammatory microenvironment of psoriasis.

Clinical and Laboratory Characteristics of Patients with Nontuberculous Mycobacterium Bloodstream Infection in a Tertiary Referral Hospital in Beijing, China

Background： Nontuberculous Mycobacterium （NTM） bloodstream infection （BSI） is relatively rare. We aimed in this study to evaluate the clinical characteristics, laboratory evaluation, and outcomes of patients with NTM BSI. Methods： We retrospectively reviewed the clinical records of inpatients with NTM BSI at our institution between January 2008 and January 2015 and recorded clinical parameters including age, gender, underlying disease, clinical manifestation, organs involved with NTM disease, species of NTM, laboratory data, treatment and outcome of these patients. We also reviewed the reported cases and case series ofNTM BSI by searching PubMed, EMBASE, and Wanfang databases. Data of normal distribution were expressed by mean ~ standard deviation （SD）. Data of nonnormal distribution were expressed by median and interquartile range （IQR）. Results： Among the ten patients with NTM BSI, the median age was 51 years （IQR 29-57 years） and three patients were males. Eight patients were immunocompromised, with underlying diseases including human immunodeficiency virus （HIV） infection （one patient）, rheumatic diseases （two patients）, breast cancer （one patient）, myelodysplastic syndrome （two patients）, and aplastic anemia （two patients）. Other organ（s） involved were lung （two patients）, endocardium （two patients）, brain, spinal cord, and soft tissue （one each patient）. The median lymphocyte was 0.66 x 109/L （IQR 0.24-1 .93 × 10^9/L）. The median cluster of differentiation 4 （CD4） cell count was 179/ mm^3 （IQR 82-19/mm^3）. Five patients died （three with hematological diseases, one with breast cancer, and one with rheumatic disease）, three recovered, and two were lost to follow-up. Conclusions： We reported all cases in our hospital diagnosed with bloodstream NTM infection that was rarely reported. In this group of patients, patients usually had a high fever and could have multiple organ involvements. All patients with poor prognosis had underlying diseases.

The expression of lin28B was co-regulated by H3K4me2 and Wnt5a/β-catenin/TCF7L2

lin28A and lin28B are homologous RNA-binding proteins that participate in the development of primordial germ cells. The mechanisms underlying expression and regulation of lin28A have been well documented, but such information for lin28B is limited. In this study, a fragment of the lin28B promoter was cloned, the pEGFP-plin28B vector was constructed. DF-1 chicken fibroblasts were transfected and the expression of green fluorescent protein (GFP) was measured. Furtherly, lin28B promoter of different lengths fragments was cloned using the chromosome-walking method and the fragments were ligated into the PGL3-Basic vector, and transfected into DF-1 cells. Results of dual-luciferase reporter assay showed that the core of the lin28B promoter was included in the sequence from –1 431 to –1 034 bp. The binding sites of the transcription factor TCF7L2 was showed within this sequence by bioinformatics analysis. The promoter activity of lin28B was downregulated (Plin28B promoter activity responded to the activation or inhibition of Wnt signaling. Results of chromatin immunoprecipitation and quantitative PCR showed that β-catenin-TCF7L2 may be enriched in the lin28B promoter core area. In vivo and in vitro activation or inhibition of Wnt signaling significantly up- or down-regulated (Plin28B expression. H3K4me2 enriched in the promoter of lin28B, which affected the regulation of Wnt signaling to lin28B. In conclusion, our results showed that H3K4me2 and Wnt5a/β-catenin/TCF7L2 were the positive regulators of lin28B expression. Findings of this study may lay a theoretical foundation for illuminating the mechanism underlying lin28B expression.

Tribocorrosion behavior of antibacterial Ti-Cu sintered alloys in simulated biological environments

Ti-Cu alloys have strong antibacterial proper-ties,high strength and excellent corrosion resistance,which might be used in orthopedic and dental implants.In this paper,the tribocorrosion behaviors of Ti-Cu alloy with different Cu contents were investigated in four simulated biological environments compared with cp-Ti.The results showed that Ti-Cu sintered alloy exhibited higher corro-sion resistance,lower coefficient friction and wear loss than cp-Ti in all tested solutions due to the formation of fine and homogeneously distributed Ti_(2)Cu phase,espe-cially in solution with lower F ion and pH.High Cu content and extrusion process improved the corrosion resistance and the wear resistance because of high Ti_(2)Cu phase fraction and fine grain size.However,aggressive solution,such as the solution with lower F ion and pH,accelerated wear in comparison with other solutions for cp-Ti and Ti-Cu sintered alloys.Scanning electron microscope(SEM)surface morphology demonstrated that the wear mecha-nism of cp-Ti during tribocorrosion process was mainly abrasive wear and adhesive wear while that of Ti-Cu alloy was abrasive wear.In summary,Ti-Cu sintered alloys showed much better tribocorrosion property than cp-Ti,which shows great potential application in condition for wear and corrosion resistance.

Dear Editor,The placenta connecting the fetus to the matermal uterus provides material exchange and an immune-tolerant environment for the embryo in all eutherian mammals(Shao et al.,2022).The representative mouse placenta displays a multilayered structure with distinct characteristics and functions,including the matermal decidua,junctional zone,and labyrinth layer(Marsh and Blelloch,2020).The decidua,which is thought to be derived from the matermal endometrium(and further undergoes decidualization),provides an anchor for fetal trophoblast invasion.The junctional zone predominantly contains spongiotrophoblasts(SpT),glycogen trophoblasts(GlyT),and trophoblast giant cells(TGCs).The labyrinth is the innermost two-layer structure,which mainly consists of syncytiotrophoblast cells(SynTI and SynTII),sinusoidal TGCs(S-TGCs),and fetal endothelial cells(Simmons and Cross,2005).

MeCP2 deficiency promotes cell reprogramming by stimulating IGF1/AKT/mTOR signaling and activating ribosomal protein-mediated ceil cycle gene translation

The generation of induced pturipotent stem cells (iPSCs)offers a great opportunity in research and regenerative medicine.The current poor efficiency and incomplete mechanistic understanding of the reprogramming process hamper the clinical application of iPSCs. MeCP2 connects histone modification and DNA methyiation,which are key changes of somatic cell reprogramming.However,the rote of MeCP2 in celt reprogramming has not been examined.In this study,we found that MeCP2 deficiency enhanced reprogramming efficiency and stimulated cell proliferation through regulating cell cycle protein expression in the earLy stage of reprogramming.MeCP2 deficiency enhanced the expression of ribosomal protein genes,thereby enhancing reprogramming efficiency through promoting the translation of ceLl cycle genes.In the end,MeCP2 deficiency stimulated IGF1/AKT/mTOR signaling and activated ribosomal protein gene expression.Taken together,our data indicate that MeCP2 deficiency promoted cell reprogramming through stimulating IGF1/AKT/mTOR signaling and activating ribosomal protein-mediated cell cycle gene translation in the early stage of reprogramming.

To achieve real-time and high-sensitive humidity sensing,a universal method was developed to allow arbitrary nanocrystals to be attached to the end of an optical fiber,further producing an effective interference spectrum.To validate this approach,four classical metal-organic framework(MOF) materials(ZIF-8,UiO-66,HKUST-1,MIL-101) are connected to the end of a single-mode optical fiber by this connection method to form humidity sensors.
