Photonic neuromorphic architecture for tens-of-task lifelong learning

Scalable,high-capacity,and low-power computing architecture is the primary assurance for increasingly manifold and large-scale machine learning *** electronic artificial agents by conventional power-hungry processors have faced the issues of energy and scaling walls,hindering them from the sustainable performance improvement and iterative multi-task *** to another modality of light,photonic computing has been progressively applied in high-efficient neuromorphic ***,we innovate a reconfigurable lifelong-learning optical neural network(L2 ONN),for highly-integrated tens-of-task machine intelligence with elaborated algorithm-hardware *** from the inherent sparsity and parallelism in massive photonic connections,L2 ONN learns each single task by adaptively activating sparse photonic neuron connections in the coherent light field,while incrementally acquiring expertise on various tasks by gradually enlarging the *** multi-task optical features are parallelly processed by multi-spectrum representations allocated with different *** evaluations on freespace and on-chip architectures confirm that for the first time,L2 ONN avoided the catastrophic forgetting issue of photonic computing,owning versatile skills on challenging tens-of-tasks(vision classification,voice recognition,medical diagnosis,etc.)with a single ***,L2 ONN achieves more than an order of magnitude higher efficiency than the representative electronic artificial neural networks,and 14×larger capacity than existing optical neural networks while maintaining competitive performance on each individual *** proposed photonic neuromorphic architecture points out a new form of lifelong learning scheme,permitting terminal/edge AI systems with light-speed efficiency and unprecedented scalability.

The crystallization of chiral molecules is of great significance to understand the origin and evolution of hierarchical chirality and reveal the relationships between structural chirality and circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)***,we report two pairs of chiral metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)(DCF-17/LCF-17,DCF-18/LCF-18)by utilizing tetradentate ligands tetra(3-imidazoylphenyl)ethylene(TIPE)and 4,4'-[4',5'-bis[4-(4-pyridinyl)phenyl][1,1':2',1”-terphenyl]-4,4”-diyl]bis[pyridine](TPPP)as *** can be observed that the spontaneous resolution of the achiral ligands is converted into the induced resolution,and the ligands form the absolute configuration by using enantiopure camphoric acid(cam)as chiral induced reagent(CIR).As a result,the racemate MOFs can be driven to generate absolute homochiral *** two achiral MOFs[Cd(D-cam)(TPPP)_(0.5)](AF-1,AF=achiral framework)and[Cd(L-cam)(TPPP)_(0.5)](AF-2)were *** position disorder of D/L-cam skeleton causes the generation of nonchiralization,further leading to disappearance of symmetry breaking of *** the perspective of structure,this is the first report which reveals the chiral transfer and nonchiralization between chiral induced agents and tetradentate ***,DCF-17 and LCF-17 show CPL with luminescence dissymmetry factor(glum)of–1.0×10^(-2)and+9.2×10^(–3),*** work provides the useful evidences to reveal the induced chiral crystallization and the construction of CPL-active crystalline materials.

A variety of research reports on novel supramolecular topologies have been published over the last ***,it is still a great challenge to tap into the inner functional properties of these ***,two tetranuclear metallamacrocycles 1 and 2 and four octonuclear[2]catenanes 3-6 were constructed successfully via a coordination-driven self-assembly strategy,by conscious design and use of the tetramethyl bidentate pyridine ligand L1,and the appropriate selection of six binuclear half-sandwich rhodium building units with different longitudinal *** complexes have been fully characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and NMR ***,near-infrared photothermal studies of the obtained[2]catenanes reveal different photothermal response in solid and solution states,which may be attributed to a strong fluorescence quenching effect of the half-sandwich organometallic fragment and different conjugated effect of Cp^(*)Rh based building blocks in the interlocking *** photothermal conversion efficiencies of[2]catenanes 4-6 fall in the range 30.5%-16.5% *** contribution aims to play a key role in the experimental development of Cp^(*)-based photothermal materials.

Studies have shown that non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)may be associated with sleep *** order to explore the explicit relationship between the two,we systematically reviewed the effects of sleep disorders,especially obstructive sleep apnea(OSA),on the incidence of NAFLD,and analyzed the possible mechanisms after adjusting for confounding *** is independently associated with sleep *** sleep disorders may be the cause of the onset and aggravation of *** excessive or insufficient sleep duration,poor sleep quality,insomnia,sleep-wake disorders,and OSA may increase the incidence of *** that some research suggests a unidirectional causal link between the two,specifically,the onset of NAFLD is identified as a result of changes in sleep characteristics,and the reverse relationship does not hold ***,there is still a lack of specific research elucidating the reasons behind the higher risk of developing sleep disorders in individuals with *** research is needed to establish a clear relationship between NAFLD and sleep *** will lay the groundwork for earlier identification of potential patients,which is crucial for earlier monitoring,diagnosis,effective prevention,and treatment of NAFLD.

The occurrence characteristics of shale oil are of great significance to the movability of shale *** this study,the occurrence characteristics of oil in the shale matrix at Funing Formation shale in Subei Basin were quantitatively evaluated by organic geochemistry and microscopic pore structure characterization *** Multiple Isothermal Stages Pyrolysis(MIS)experiment results show that the content of total oil,adsorbed oil,and free oil in the shales are 3.15-11.25 mg/g,1.41-4.95 mg/g,and 1.74-6.51 mg/g,*** which the silicon-rich shale has the best *** relative content of free oil shows an increasing trend in pores with pore diameters greater than 3 *** the relative content of free oil reaches 100%,the pore size of silicon-rich shale is about 200 nm,while that of calcium-rich shale,clay-rich shale,and siliceous mixed shale is about 10 *** occurrence law of adsorbed oil is opposite to that of free oil,which indicates that shale oil will occur in the pores and fractures in a free state in a more extensive pore size range(>200 nm).This study also enables us to further understand the occurrence characteristics of shale oil under the interaction of occurrence state and occurrence space.

当前城市治理正经历着数字化转型的过程。然而，数字技术应用于城市治理存在着一定限度，具体表现为系统的协同性失调、价值的公共性缺失以及社会的“复杂性化简”等问题。基于F区的“民呼必应”等平台的案例分析，研究发现：政府是受益于平台还是受制于平台，取决于政府能否建构起应对平台嵌入的调适体系；政府与平台存在着多维度、多方面的互动过程。这一过程中的政府通常以两个层面的行动来调适平台嵌入：一方面，综合运用组织互适、程序互塑、多元统合等行动策略，促进政府与平台的相互融合；另一方面，把平台参与治理的职责、程序、领域限制在特定范畴之内。要在充分发挥平台服务于城市治理功效的同时，克服平台单一治理在数字化转型中的限度，并以此把握平台嵌入与政府调适的边界。

Electrochemical glycerol oxidation(EGO)emerges as a promising route to valorize glycerol,an underutilized byproduct from biodiesel production,into value-added *** study employed three types of gold(Au)nanocrystals with controlled shapes to elucidate the facet-dependent electrocatalytic behavior in ***,rhombic dodecahedral,and cubic Au nanocrystals with{111},{110},and{100}facets,respectively,were precisely synthesized with uniform size and *** dodecahedra exhibited the lowest onset potential for EGO due to facile AuOH formation,while octahedra showed enhanced electrochemical activity for glycerol oxidation and resistance to ***-situ FTIR analysis revealed that Au{111}surfaces selectively favored C_(2) products,whereas Au{100}surfaces promoted C_(3) product formation,highlighting the significant effect of facet orientation on EGO performance and informing catalyst design.

Calycosin improves atherosclerosis by reshaping the interaction between the gut microbiome and bile acid metabolism

Calycosin， Astragali Radix most prominent ingredient， has drawn more attention as a result of its ability to treat atherosclerosis(AS). However， the mechanism of action has not been fully elucidated. We investigated the effects of calycosin on bile acid (BA) metabolism and gut microbiome in ApoE-/-mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD). The data showed that the aorta of ApoE-/-mice treated with HFD showed significant atheromatous plaque formation and lipid accumulation， and the levels of TC， TG and LDL-C were significantly increased， while the levels of HDL-C were significantly decreased. Calycosin can substantially regulate lipid levels， thereby alleviating liver lipid deposition induced by atherosclerosis. In addition， 16S rRNA sequencing showed that calycosin treatment has reshaped the gut microbiota disturbed by HFD， in particular， increasing the ratio of Bacteroidetes/Firmicutes， and improving the relative abundance of Bilophila， Desulfovibrio， Bacteroides， Lactobacillus， etc. Meanwhile， targeted metabolomics analysis showed that calycosin treatment significantly modulated CDCA， TCA， LCA， DCA， TDCA and bile acid pool composition， which were associated with atherosclerotic plaque areas. In addition， calycosin treatment also down-regulated FXR protein levels and up-regulated CYP7A1 protein levels in the hepatic. At the same time， calycosin inhibits the ileum FXR/TGR5 signaling pathway， inhibits BA reabsorption， promotes BA excretion， and reduces hepatic cholesterol accumulation by enterohepatic circulation. In addition， we found that calycosin significantly promoted the expression of hepatic ABCA1 and ABCG1 to mediate cholesterol efflux. Meanwhile， calycosin regulates gut microbiota， and Bacteroides， Alistipes， Desulfovibrio， Lactobacillus， Bilophila and Odoribacter are closely related to specific BAs. 随着中国全球影响力的不断提升与国际中文学习需求的日益增长,利用信息技术促进汉语二语学习成为研究热点。研究旨在探究游戏化虚拟情境对国际中文学习者的语篇认知水平和情绪动机的影响。研究采用准实验研究方法,分析了65名学习者在游戏化虚拟情境和常规做题情境下的基础词汇、语篇理解、语言交流意愿和语言学习焦虑的前后测的分数差异。结果显示,实验组在基础词汇和语篇理解方面的后测成绩显著高于对照组,且实验组的词汇和语篇理解后测成绩均显著高于前测。在情绪动机方面,实验组在游戏化虚拟情境中的语言学习焦虑显著降低,而对照组则无显著变化。研究为数字化技术在国际中文教育领域的应用提供了有力的研究证据。
