Surface engineering,which modulates the electronic structure and adsorption/desorption properties of electrocatalysts,is one of the key strategies for improving the catalytic ***,we demonstrate a facile solid-phase reaction for surface engineering of MnO_(2.to boost the oxygen reduction *** reaction with surface hydroxy groups,La single atoms with loading amount up to 2.7 wt%are anchored onto a-MnO_(2.*** surface engineering,the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)kinetics is significantly improved with the half-wave potential from 0.70 to 0.84 V,the number of transferred electrons from 2.5 to 3.9 and the limiting current density from 4.8 to 6.0 mA·cm^(-2..In addition,the catalyst delivers superior discharge performance in both alkaline and neutral metal–air *** functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that atomic La modulates the surface electronic configuration of MnO_(2.,reduces its d-band center and thus lowers the OOH*and O*reaction energy *** work provides a new route for rational design of highly active electrocatalyst and holds great potential for application in various catalytic reactions.

Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 2.,2.2.,and February 2.,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 35,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.2. and recovered to 5.83 and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12.days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 2. *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2.virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2.vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.

The neutron total cross section data of^(9)Be are essential in the nuclear structure model research of light nuclei and nuclear power *** neutron total cross section of^(9)Be in the 0.3 eV−12. MeV energy region has been measured using time-of-flight and transmission methods with the Neutron Total Cross Sectional Spectrometer(NTOX)based on the multi-cell fast fission chamber at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)-Back-n white neutron source(Back-n).The fission count-neutron energy distributions of ^(2.5)U and ^(2.8)U without samples and with Be samples with three thicknesses were measured in the double-bunch operation mode for a beam power of 100 *** Bayesian method was used to eliminate the influence of the double-bunch problem on neutron measurement in the energy region above 10 *** neutron total cross section of^(9)Be results was consistent with ENDF/B-VIII.0 evaluation library data in the 0.3 eV−2. MeV energy *** the energy ranges of 0.3 eV to 10 keV and 0.01 to 2. MeV,the deviations between our results and the evaluation results of ENDF/B-VIII.0 were within 2.5%and 15%,*** the resonance energy region,the measured resonance energies in our experiment were 0.63,0.82.and 2.8 MeV,*** results showed that the total cross section uncertainties of three Be samples were within 2.2.in the energy region below 1 *** total cross section uncertainty of 30 mm Be from ^(2.5)U was the smallest and less than 5%in the energy region of 0.3 eV−12. *** results of this experiment can provide technical support for further data analysis and related nuclear data evaluation.

The continuously growing importance of information storage,transmission,and authentication impose many new demands and challenges for modern nano-photonic materials and information storage technologies,both in security and storage ***,luminescent lanthanide-doped nanomaterials have drawn much attention in this field because of their photostability,multimodal/multicolor/narrowband emissions,and long luminescence ***,we report a multimodal nanocomposite composed of lanthanide-doped upconverting nanoparticle and EuSe semiconductor,which was constructed by utilizing a cation exchange *** nanocomposite can emit blue and white light under 365 and 394 nm excitation,***,the nanocomposites show different colors under 980 nm laser excitation when the content of Tb3+ions is changed in the upconversion ***,the time-gating technology is used to filter the upconversion emission of a long lifetime from Tb3+or Eu3+,and the possibilities for modulating the emission color of the nanocomposites are further *** on the advantage of multiple tunable luminescence,the nanocomposites are designed as optical modules to load optical *** work enables multi-dimensional storage of information and provides new insights into the design and fabrication of next-generation storage materials.
