Effects of shading at the flowering and grain filling stages on osmotic regulation substance content and protective enzyme activities in the leaves of different rice genotypes （e.g., Ilyou 498, Gangyou 188, Dexiang 4103, Gangyou 527 and Chuanxiang 9838） were investigated. The results showed that the malondialdehyde content of Gangyou 188 significantly increased under shading, whereas those of Ilyou 498, Dexiang 4103, Gangyou 527 and Chuanxiang 9838 showed no significant differences compared to the control. The soluble sugar content significantly decreased in Ilyou 498, Gangyou 188, Dexiang 4103 and Chuanxiang 9838, whereas it did not significantly increase in Gangyou 527 under the weak light conditions （shading）. Moreover, the soluble protein content in the leaves of different genotypes tended to decrease under shading. Further, the protective enzyme activities in the leaves varied in different rice genotypes under the shading treatment. Based on the osmotic regulation substance content and the protective enzyme activities in the leaves of different rice genotypes, it was concluded that Gangyou 188 and Gangyou 527 had strong abilities to adapt to the low light conditions. In addition, the mechanism of damage to rice leaves in different genotypes under shading was discussed.

Electrochemical conversion of nitrate(NO_(3)~-) to ammonia(NH_(3)) can target two birds with one stone well, in NO_(3)^(-)-containing sewage remediation and sustainable NH_(3) production. However, single metalbased catalysts are difficult to drive high-efficient NO_(3)~- removal due to the multi-electron transfer ***, we present a tandem catalyst with simple structure, Cu-Co binary metal oxides(Cu-Co-O), by engineering intermediate phases as catalytic active species for NO_(3)~- conversion. Electrochemical evaluation,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and in situ Raman spectra together suggest that the newly-generated Cu-based phases was prone to NO_(3)~- to NO_(2)~- conversion, then NO_(2)~- was reduced to NH_(3) on Co-based species. At an applied potential of -1.1 V vs. saturated calomel electrode, the Cu-Co-O catalyst achieved NO_(3)~- -N removal of 90% and NH_(3) faradaic efficiency of 81% for 120 min in 100 m L of 50 mg/L NO_(3)~- -N,consuming only 0.69 k Wh/mol in a two-electrode system. This study provides a facile and efficient engineering strategy for developing high-performance catalysts for electrocatalytic nitrate conversion.

Impact detecting and counting are fundamental functions of fuses used in hard target penetration ***,detection failure caused by battery breakdown in high-g acceleration environments poses a vulnerability for such *** paper introduces a novel supercapacitor that combines energy storage and high-g impact detection,called self-sensing *** deliberately inducing a transient soft short-circuit during shock in the supercapacitor,it is possible to detect external impact by its transient voltage *** realize this concept,firstly,by introducing the contact theory and force-induced percolation model,the electrode strength and roughness are found to have key impacts on the formation of soft ***,to meet the needs for sensitivity and capacity,a high-density porous carbon(HDPC)that combines high mechanical strength and porosity,is selected as a suitable candidate based on the analysis ***,a two-step curing method is proposed to prepare the high-roughness HDPC(HRHDPC)electrode and to assemble the self-sensing *** to the rich specific surface of the electrodes and the high surface strength and roughness conducive to the formation of transient soft short circuits,the self-sensing supercapacitor not only possesses an excellent specific capacitance(171 F/g at 0.5 A/g)but also generates significant voltage response signals when subjected to high-g impacts ranging from 8000g to 31,***,the self-sensing supercapacitor is applied to compose a successive high-g impact counting system and compared to traditional solutions(sensors and tantalum capacitors)in the military *** results show that the self-sensing supercapacitor-based system exhibits advantages in terms of size,power consumption,and counting accuracy.

To improve the nitriding resistance of Zr_(2)Fe alloy,the Ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(1-x)Ni_(x))(x=0,0.15,0.3,0.5)alloys were prepared by magnetic levitation melting *** effects of Ni substitution for Fe on the phase structure,hydrogen and nitrogen absorption properties of the alloys were investigated by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and p-c isotherm *** experimental results show that Ni substitution can effectively inhibit the formation of both α-Zr and ZrFe_(2) phases and promote the formation of C16 structure Zr_(2)(Fe,Ni)phase,causing Ni-substituted alloys to exhibit low nitrogen absorption rate and *** 623 K under 0.5 MPa nitrogen pressure,the nitrogen absorption capacity of Ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(0.5)Ni_(0.5))alloy reaches to 0.8 mL/g,much lower than that of Zr_(2)Fe alloy(1.5 mL/g).Ni substitution decreases the crystal cell volume of the C_(16)Zr_(2)(Fe,Ni)phase,resulting in an increase in the hydrogen absorption equilibrium *** 623 K under 0.05 MPa hydrogen pressure,the hydrogen absorption capacity decreases from 1.46 wt%of Zr_(2)Fe alloy to 1.41 wt%of Ce-added Zr_(2)(Fe_(0.5)Ni_(0.5))alloy.

Neighborhood predictors of short sleep duration and bedtime irregularity among children in the United States: results from the 2019-2020 National Surveyof Children's Health

Background Environmental factors may contribute to short sleep duration and irregular bedtime in *** factors and children's sleep duration and bedtime regularity remain a less investigated *** aim of this study was to investigate the national and state-level proportions of children with short sleep duration and irregular bedtime and their neighborhood *** A total of 67,598 children whose parents completed the National Survey of Children's Health in 2019-2020 were included in the ***-weighted Poisson regression was used to explore the neighborhood predictors of children's short sleep duration and irregular *** The prevalence of short sleep duration and irregular bedtime among children in the United States(US)was 34.6%[95%confidence interval(CI)=33.8%-35.4%]and 16.4%(95%CI=15.6%-17.2%)in 2019-2020,*** neighborhoods,supportive neighborhoods,and neighborhoods with amenities were found to be protective factors against children's short sleep duration,with risk ratios ranging between 0.92 and 0.94,P<*** with detracting elements were associated with an increased risk of short sleep duration[risk ratio(RR)=1.06,95%CI=1.00-1.12]and irregular bedtime(RR=1.15,95%CI=1.03-1.28).Child race/ethnicity moderated the relationship between neighborhood with amenities and short *** Insufficient sleep duration and irregular bedtime were highly prevalent among US children.A favorable neighborhood environment can decrease children's risk of short sleep duration and irregular *** the neighborhood environment has implications for children's sleep health,especially for children from minority racial/ethnic groups.

Automatic modulation recognition of radio fuzes using a DR2D-based adaptive denoising method and textural feature extraction

The identification of intercepted radio fuze modulation types is a prerequisite for decision-making in interference ***,the electromagnetic environment of modern battlefields is complex,and the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of such environments is usually low,which makes it difficult to implement accurate recognition of radio *** solve the above problem,a radio fuze automatic modulation recognition(AMR)method for low-SNR environments is ***,an adaptive denoising algorithm based on data rearrangement and the two-dimensional(2D)fast Fourier transform(FFT)(DR2D)is used to reduce the noise of the intercepted radio fuze intermediate frequency(IF)***,the textural features of the denoised IF signal rearranged data matrix are extracted from the statistical indicator vectors of gray-level cooccurrence matrices(GLCMs),and support vector machines(SVMs)are used for *** DR2D-based adaptive denoising algorithm achieves an average correlation coefficient of more than 0.76 for ten fuze types under SNRs of-10 d B and above,which is higher than that of other typical *** trained SVM classification model achieves an average recognition accuracy of more than 96%on seven modulation types and recognition accuracies of more than 94%on each modulation type under SNRs of-12 d B and above,which represents a good AMR performance of radio fuzes under low SNRs.

Automated vehicles(AVs)hold the potential to reduce road accidents,mitigate traffic congestion,and improve travel ***,the possible countervailing impacts from the changes in underserved populations’vehicle travel demand tend to be *** determine the vehicle travel demand changes that resulted from underserved populations aged between 6 and 80,this paper explores the latent effect of AVs on vehicle kilometers traveled(VKT)in a fully AV environment using person trip survey data from the cities of Sanya,Shijiazhuang,and Shenzhen in *** paper uses the natural decline hypothesis of travel demand and proposes a regression model to investigate the difference among the cities’latent vehicle travel *** show that the average VKT of the overall population in Sanya,Shijiazhuang,and Shenzhen increased by 33.4%,47.0%,and46.8%,*** analysis of the regression model confirms that the current travel behavior of individuals can affect the degree of increase in their average *** AVs into public transport,increasing the acceptance of automated shared mobility options,transforming road space use type,and prototyping AV designs with various features and needs are potential methods to cope with the countervailing *** total VKT of the overall population increased by approximately 10%-25%depending on the *** conclusions of this paper provide informative insights into the evaluation of VKT for underserved populations and contribute to the deployment of AVs to address equity and inclusion issues.

Carbon materials have been used as the support for catalysts in the field of acetylene hydrochlorination,the influence of inevitable oxygen-containing moieties on the reaction is often ignored and the mechanism of the oxygen-doping structure remains ***,we explored the effect of the oxygen-containing group(C-O-C)in the support on the activity of single-atom dispersed Cu *** immersing the Cu single-atom catalyst in an alkaline solution,the epoxy species on the carbon support was cleaved to obtain a pure ether species while the Cu site was modified to a more electron-deficient *** turnover frequency value of Cu/O-FLP catalyst with epoxy groups was 1.6-fold higher than that of alkaline treated *** result indicated that the epoxy groups could assist adjacent single-atom Cu sites to synergistically promote the adsorption and cleavage of the reactant hydrogen chloride toward form C-OH and Cu-Cl bonds,and reduce the reaction energy *** presence of electron deficient Cu sites and ether species could induce competitive adsorption of the acetylene and hydrogen chloride,thereby reducing the activity of the *** study highlights the influence of surface oxygen species and the tunability of the support,providing the foundation for the fabrication of higher-activity Cu catalysts for acetylene hydrochlorination.

Review of chiplet-based design: system architecture and interconnection

Chiplet-based design, which breaks a system into multiple smaller dice(or “chiplets”) and reassembles them into a new system chip through advanced packaging, has received extensive attention in the post Moore's law era due to its advantages in terms of cost, performance, and agility. However, significant challenges arise in this implementation approach, including the mapping of functional components onto chiplets, co-optimization of package and architecture, handling the increased latency of communication across functions in different dies, the uncertainty problems of fragment communication subsystems, such as maintaining deadlock-free when independently designed chiplets are combined. Despite various design approaches that attempt to address these challenges, surveying these approaches one-after-another is not the most helpful way to offer a comparative viewpoint. Accordingly, in this paper, we present a more comprehensive and systematic strategy to survey the various approaches. First, we divide them into chiplet-based system architecture design and interconnection design, and further classify them based on different architectures and building blocks of interconnection. Then, we analyze and cross-compare each classification separately, and in addition, we present a topical discussion on the evolution of memory architectures, design automation, and other relevant topics in chiplet-based designs. Finally, some discussions on important topics are presented,emphasizing future needs and challenges in this rapidly evolving field.
