Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) are considered new generation of large-scale energy-storage ***,LIBs suffer from a lack of desirable anode materials with excellent specific capacity and cycling *** this work,we design a novel hierarchical structure constructed by encapsulating cobalt sulfide nanowires within nitrogen-doped porous branched carbon nanotubes(NBNTs)for *** unique hierarchical Co9S8@NBNT electrode displayed a reversible specific capacity of 1310 mAhg-1 at a current density of 0.1 Ag-1,and was able to maintain a stable reversible discharge capacity of 1109 mAhg-1 at a current density of 0.5 Ag-1 with coulombic efficiency reaching almost 100% for 200 *** excellent rate and cycling capabilities can be ascribed to the hierarchical porosity of the one-dimensional Co9S8@NBNT internetworks,the incorporation of nitrogen doping,and the carbon nanotube confinement of the active cobalt sulfide nanowires offering a proximate electron pathway for the isolated nanoparticles and shielding of the cobalt sulfide nanowires from pulverization over long cycling periods.

Conclusions:The present study indicates that the CHE possesses a protective effect on abnormal glycoprotein metabolism in addition to its antihyperglycemic activity.

Antihyperlipidemic effect of Melothria maderaspatana leaf extracts on DOCA-salt induced hypertensive rats

Objective:To investigate the antihyperlipidemic effect of crude ethanolic extract of Melothria maderaspatana(***) leaf(CEEM) on deoxycorticosterone acetate(DOCA)-salt hypertensive ***:A midscapular incision was made on each rat and the left kidney was excised after ligation of the renal *** surgical wound was closed using an absorbable *** one week recovery period,hypertension was induced by subcutaneous injection of DOCA-salt solution,twice a week,and the rats received a 1%sodium chloride solution as drinking water throughout the experimental *** or nifedipine was administered orally once a day for 6 ***:In DOCA-salt hypertensive rats,the level of plasma and tissues of total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),free fatty acids(FFA) and phospholipids (PL) significantly increased and administration of CEEM significantly reduced these parameters towards ***,the levels of low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) and very low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(VLDL-C) significantly increased while high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) decreased in hypertensive rats and administration of CEEM brought these parameters to normality which proved their antihyperlipidemic *** of liver, kidney and heart on DOCA-salt induced rats treated with CEEM showed reduced the damages towards normal ***:These findings provided evidence that CEEM was found to be protecting the liver,kidney and heart against DOCA-salt administration and the protective effect could attribute to its antihyperlipidemic activities.

BACKGROUND Castleman's disease(CD)is a rare lymphoproliferative,emulating both benign and malignant *** diagnosis of CD is formulated upon the combination of clinical and laboratory criteria and ultimately confirmed by histopathological *** to its rarity,CD presents a challenge in treatment selection,with available options encompassing surgery,chemotherapy,and autologous stem cell ***,studies suggest that surgical resection of the lesion is the most effective treatment modality,especially for unicentric CD(UCD).CASE SUMMARY Here,we describe the case of a 25-year-old woman who presented with painless left thigh swelling for 10 *** had been following a low-fat diet to lose weight and had normal laboratory *** resonance imaging revealed a wellcircumscribed,demarcated cystic lesion located in the left inguinal region with eccentrically positioned signal void vascular structures,measuring 4.3 cm×3 cm×3.2 cm,likely of lymphoid *** patient underwent surgical resection,and the final histopathology showed a vascular proliferation and hyalinization of the vessel walls,along with atretic germinal centers traversed by penetrating vessels,consistent with *** patient was discharged home one day after the procedure in good condition,with a follow-up appointment scheduled in our outpatient *** although surgical resection is the mainstay for UCD,a multidisciplinary approach is needed due the lack of specific diagnostic features and treatments.

This paper presents a new fault classification model and an integrated approach to fault diagnosis which involves the combination of ideas of Neuro-fuzzy Networks （NF）, Dynamic Bayesian Networks （DBN） and Particle Filtering （PF） algorithm on single platform. In the new model we categorize faults in two aspects, namely first and second degree faults. First degree faults are instantaneous in nature and second degree faults are evolutional and appear as a developing phenomenon which start from an initial stage and graduate through development stage and finally ends at a mature stage, these category of fault have a lifetime which is inversely proportional a machine tool life according to modified version of Taylor’s equation expressed as [1]. For fault diagnosis, our framework consists of two phases: the first focusing on fault prognosis which is done online and the second dwelling on fault diagnosis which depends on both off-line and on-line modules. On the first phase a neuro-fuzzy predictor is used take a decision on whether to embark Conditional Based Maintenance （CMB） or fault diagnosis based on the magnitude of a fault. The second phase only comes into action when an evolving fault goes beyond a critical threshold limit called CBM limit for a command to be issued for fault diagnosis. During this phase DBN and PF techniques are used as an intelligent fault diagnosis system to determine the magnitude, time and location of the fault. The feasibility of this approach has been tested in a simulation environment using CNC machine as a case study and the results are studied and analyzed.

The aim of the present real time in vivo micro-computed tomography （pCT） and histologic experiment was to assess the efficacy of guided bone regeneration （GBR） around standardized calvarial critical size defects （CSD） using bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells （BMSCs）, and collagen membrane （CM） with and without tricalcium phosphate （TCP） graft material. In the calvaria of nine female Sprague-Dawley rats, full-thickness CSD （diameter 4.6 mm） were created under general anesthesia. Treatment-wise, rats were divided into three groups. In group 1, CSD was covered with a resorbable CM; in group 2, BMSCs were filled in CSD and covered with CM; and in group 3, TCP soaked in BMSCs was placed in CSD and covered with CM. all defects were closed using resorbable sutures. Bone volume and bone mineral density of newly formed bone （NFB） and remaining TCP particles and rate of new bone formation was determined at baseline, 2, 4, 6, and 10 weeks using in vivo pCT. At the lOth week, the rats were killed and calvarial segments were assessed histologically. The results showed that the hardness of NFB was similar to that of the native bone in groups I and 2 as compared to the NFB in group 3. Likewise, values for the modulus of elasticity were also significantly higher in group 3 compared to groups 1 and 2. This suggests that TCP when used in combination with BMSCs and without CM was unable to form bone of significant strength that could possibly provide mechanical ＂lock＂ between the natural bone and NFB. The use of BMSCs as adjuncts to conventional GBR initiated new bone formation as early as 2 weeks of treatment compared to when GBR is attempted without adiunct BMSC therapy.
