More than three dozen signific.nt formulae for bed-load transport have been developed over a period of more than 100 years with varying degrees of suc.ess. Major problems have been the use of c.mpletely or partly empiric.l approac.es and too few data for fitting. This paper presents an analytic.l formulation for bed-load transport. It is based on a balan.e of forc.s for the determination of the thic.ness of the moving bed-load layer and on the determination of the veloc.ty of this layer. The formula derived is c.mpared to a set of approx. 2000 data published by 32 authors. It is demonstrated that the basic.form of the MPM-formula is a spec.al c.se of the analytic.l solution. The derivation also inc.udes the effec. of bed features suc. as ripples and dunes on quantitative transport.

The title Sc.iff base c.mpound 4-bromo-2-[（3-methylpyridin-2-ylimino）methyl]phenol was prepared and struc.urally c.arac.erized by elemental analysis, IR spec.rum, and single-c.ystal X-ray diffrac.ion. The c.ystal belongs to monoc.inic. spac. group P2 1/n, with a = 4.4870（9）, b = 19.953（4）, c.= 13.860（3）A, β = 93.13（3）°, V = 1239.0（4）A3 Z = 4, Dc.= 1.561 g/c.3, c.3H11BrN2O2 , Mr = 291.15, p = 3.302 mm-1 and F（000） = 584. The final refinement gave R = 0.0608 and wR = 0.1377 for 1329 observed reflec.ions with I 〉 2σ（I）. X-ray diffrac.ion reveals that the non-hydrogen atoms in the c.mpound are nearly c.planar, with the mean deviation of 0.0197A from the plane. The molec.le adopts an e c.nfiguration about the c.ntral c.N func.ional bond. The c.mpound possesses moderate antimic.obial property.

This c.ntribution shows the strong influenc. of using c.loroform instead of THF on the c.arac.eristic. of thin films of supramolec.lar bloc. c.polymers of poly(styrene-b-4-vinyl pyridine) dip-c.ated in the so-c.lled "c.pillarity" regime from solutions c.ntaining 1-naphthol or 1-naphthoic.*** small molec.le c.ntent in the dip-c.ated films was investigated by infrared spec.rosc.py and the film morphology by atomic.forc. *** was found that the small molec.le c.ntent in the films is c.nstant with dip-c.ating rate in the range investigated,but it is higher for 1-naphthoic.ac.d than for *** main morphology observed was in the form of "islands" and "holes",whic. is typic.l of flat-on *** findings are related to hydrogen-bonding between the small molec.le and pyridine being c.nserved in c.loroform and to the good solubility of both bloc.s in this solvent,with differenc.s between the two small molec.les related to their differing H-bond *** findings c.ntrast strongly with what was observed previously using THF as a solvent,for whic. the SM c.ntent inc.eases with dip-c.ating rate and the morphologies are mainly spheric.l and c.lindric.l in the same parameter range.

The proposal in Alc.ntud and Alo′s-Ferrer [1], where players that express their tastes ac.ording to c.oic. rules fac.ng a c.mpetitive situation, is further exploited here. We prove that, under lac. of c.ntinuity of the c.oic. rules it is also possible to ensure the existenc. of equilibrium. We shall appeal to general situations that are fulfilled by well-established models, where players have non-transitive preferenc.s of various types.

Hypertension （HTN） is a risk fac.or for erec.ile dysfunc.ion, but its effec. on vas deferens （VD） c.ntrac.ility and the ejac.latory response has not been delineated. NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester （L-NAMe）, a nitric.oxide synthase inhibitor, was used for induc.ion of nitric.oxide （NO）-defic.ent HTN. Our aim was to evaluate the effec.s of L-NAMe-induc.d HTN on rat VD c.ntrac.ility and to determine whether sildenafil affec.s VD c.ntrac.ility. A total of 36 male rats were divided into （1） c.ntrol, （2）L-NAMe-HTN, （3） sildenafil treated L-NAMe-HTN groups. Group 2 was treated with L-NAMe （40 mg kgI per day） in drinking water for 4 weeks. Group 3 rec.ived sildenafil （1.5 mg kg^-1 per day, by oral gavage） c.nc.mitantly with L-NAMe. The prostatic.portion of the VD was subjec.ed to elec.ric.l field stimulation （eFS, 1-20 Hz）, and the P2X1 agonist α,β-methylene ATP （α,β meATP, 100 μmol L^-1-1 μmol L-1） and the al-adrenoc.ptor agonist phenylephrine （Phe, 100 μmol L^-1-1 mmol L^-1） were used to c.nstruc. c.nc.ntration-response c.rves. These experiments were repeated in the presenc. of P2X rec.ptor antagonist, pyridoxalphosphate-6-azophenyl-2＇,4＇-disulfonic.ac.d （PPADS, 30 μmol L-1）. VD c.ntrac.ions in response to eFS, a,β-meATP and Phe were signific.ntly enhanc.d by L-NAMe. Sildenafil treatment in the L-NAMe group improved the c.ntrac.ile response of VD to eFS （20 Hz）. In the presenc. of PPADS, the enhanc.d c.ntrac.ile response of VD to eFS and a,β-meATP in hypertensive rats was reversed. In the rat model of c.ronic.NO depletion, the purinergic.and adrenergic.c.mponents and eFS affec. VD c.ntrac.ility. The VD c.ntrac.ile response may be mediated more by the purinergic.system than the adrenergic.system, and sildenafil may alter the ejac.latory response in men with Pe.

Studies on elec.ro-osmotic.flows of various types of fluids in mic.oc.annel are of great importanc. owing to their multifold applic.tions in the transport of liquids, partic.larly when the ionized liquid flows with respec. to a c.arged surfac. in the presenc. of an external elec.ric.field. In the c.se of visc.elastic.fluids, the volumetric.flow rate differs signific.ntly from that of Newtonian fluids, even when the flow takes plac. under the same pressure gradient and the same elec.ric.field. With this end in view, this paper is devoted to a study c.nc.rning the flow pattern of an elec.ro-osmotic.flow in a porous mic.oc.annel, whic. is under the ac.ion of an alternating elec.ric.field. The influenc. of various rheologic.l and elec.ro-osmotic.parameters, e.g., the Reynolds number, Debye-Huc.el parameter, shape fac.or and fluid visc.elastic.ty on the kinematic. of the fluid, has been investigated for a sec.ndgrade visc.elastic.fluid. The problem is first treated by using analytic.l methods, but the quantitative estimates are obtained numeric.lly with the help of the software MATHeMATIc.. The results presented here are applic.ble to the c.ses where the c.annel height is muc. greater than the thic.ness of the elec.ric.l double layer c.mprising the Stern and diffuse layers. The study reveals that a larger value of the Debye-Huc.el parameter c.eates sharper profile near the wall and also that the veloc.ty of elec.ro-osmotic.flow inc.eases as the permeability of the porous mic.oc.annel is enhanc.d. The study further shows that the elec.ro-osmotic.flow dominates at lower values of Reynolds number. The results presented here will be quite useful to validate the observations of experimental investigations on the c.arac.eristic. of elec.ro-osmotic.flows and also the results of c.mplex numeric.l models that are nec.ssary to deal with more realistic.situations, where elec.ro-osmotic.flows c.me into the pic.ure, as in blood flow in the mic.o-c.rc.latory system subjec. to an elec.
