Liver fibrosis is a wound-healing response following chronic liver injury caused by hepatitis virus infection,obesity,or excessive *** is a dynamic and reversible process characterized by the activation of hepatic stellate cells and excess accumulation of extracellular *** fibrosis could lead to cirrhosis and even liver cancer,which has become a significant health burden *** studies have revealed that noncoding RNAs(ncRNAs),including microRNAs,long noncoding RNAs and circular RNAs,are involved in the pathogenesis and development of liver fibrosis by regulating signaling pathways including transforming growth factor-βpathway,phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B pathway,and Wnt/β-catenin *** in serum or exosomes have been reported to tentatively applied in the diagnosis and staging of liver fibrosis and combined with elastography to improve the accuracy of *** mimics,ncRNAs in mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes,and lipid nanoparticles-encapsulated ncRNAs have become promising therapeutic approaches for the treatment of liver *** this review,we update the latest knowledge on ncRNAs in the pathogenesis and progression of liver fibrosis,and discuss the potentials and challenges to use these ncRNAs for diagnosis,staging and treatment of liver *** these will help us to develop a comprehensive understanding of the role of ncRNAs in liver fibrosis.

Biomaterials regulate macrophages and promote regeneration function,which is a new hot pot in tissue engineering and regenerative *** research based on macrophage materials biology has appeared happy future,but related research on regulating macrophages and promoting tissue regeneration is still in its *** surface roughness of biomaterials is one of the important factors affecting macrophage *** study also found that the surface roughness of many biomaterials regulating macrophage polarization,but not including mineralized collagen(MC).In this study,we designed and fabricated MC with different roughness and investigated the influence of MC with different roughness on *** the study,we found that on the rough surface of MC,macrophages exhibited M1 phenotype-amoeboid morphology and high-level secretory of inflammatory factor(tumor necrosis factor-a and interleukin-6),while smoother surface exhibited M2 *** data will be beneficial to understand the mechanism deeply and enrich biomaterials tissue regeneration theory,provide a new train of thought biomaterials inducing tissue regeneration and repair and guide the optimum design of new biomaterials,development and reasonable applications.

Two novel N-acyl-3-phenylpyrazol benzophenones were designed and synthesized via cyclization and acylation with 1,3-diphenylpropane-1,3-dione and dimethylformamide dimethylacetal as the starting *** of the newly synthesized compounds were characterized with IR,~1H NMR,^（13）C NMR,HRMS and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.3-Phenyl-1-o-methylbenzoyl-pyrazole-4-benzophenone（5 a） and 3-phenyl-1-p-fuorobenzoyl-pyrazole-4-benzophenone（5 b） crystallize in triclinic system,space group *** existence of p-π conjunction effect resulted in correlative bond length shorter than the typical bond length in both of the *** presence of van der Waals forces leads to the stability of the compounds.

From the Manipulation of Literary Translation to the Manipulation of Literary Creation： A Case Study

Manipulation always means a kind of extraordinary alteration for some purposes. All translation implies a degree of manipulation of the source text for a certain purpose. Liang Shih-chiu＇s literary translation serves for his literary creation which aims to promote colloquialism and to construct New Literature in the May Fourth Movement. Literary translation is the foundation of literary creation, or rather, its important strategy. The paper, from the perspective of Manipulation Theory, analyzes the purpose and strategy of Liang Shih-chiu＇s literary translation and explores the influence of his literary translation upon his literary creation in terms of ideology, poetics and patronage.

Localization of Free Verse in China： A Case Study of Bing Xin＇s Short Poems

Intercultures play an important role in localization of translation. They are the essential reference resources for those who are translators as well as writers in their literary translation or creation. Translators contribute to the extension of source culture and in target culture by means ofintercultures to form new localized cultural paradigms. Bing Xin＇ s creation of the short free verse in the vernacular Chinese was influenced by Hu shih＇s new literature ideas and Zheng Zhenduo＇s translation of Stray Birds, a famous poetry anthology of Tagore. Through her translation, she borrowed new literary paradigms from foreign languages and successfully converted them into more acceptable ones in Chinese new literature. The paper, from the perspectives of Localization and Intercultures by Anthony Pym, explores the effects which Hu Shih and Zheng Zhenduo made upon Bing Xin＇s poetry translation and creation in the trend of poetry localization in the May Fourth Movement, and analyzes the interactions between Bing Xin＇s poetry creation and her poetry translation.

Bamboo plants are an essential component of tropical ecosystems,yet their vulnerability to climate extremes,such as drought,is poorly understood due to limited knowledge of their hydraulic *** pergracile,a commonly used tropical bamboo species,exhibited a substantially higher mortality rate than other co-occurring bamboos during a severe drought event in 2019,but the underlying mechanisms remain *** study investigated the leaf and stem hydraulic traits related to drought responses,including leaf-stem embolism resistance(P50leaf;P50stem) estimated using optical and X-ray microtomography methods,leaf pressure-volume and water-releasing ***,we investigated the seasonal water potentials,native embolism level(PLC) and xylem water source using stable *** found that *** exhibited strong resistance to embolism,showing low P50leaf,P50stem,and turgor loss point,despite its rapid leaf water ***,its leaves displayed greater resistance to embolism than its stem,suggesting a lack of effective hydraulic vulnerability segmentation(HVS) to protect the stem from excessive xylem *** the dry season,approximately 49% of the water was absorbed from the upper 20-cm-deep soil ***,significant diurnal variation in leaf water potentials and an increase in midday PLC from 5.87±2.33% in the wet season to 12.87±4.09%in the dry season were *** summary,this study demonstrated that the rapid leaf water loss,high reliance on surface water,and a lack of effective HVS in *** accelerated water depletion and increased xylem embolism even in the typical dry season,which may explain its high mortality rate during extreme drought events in 2019.

Shrinkage of ipsilateral taste buds and hyperplasia of contralateral taste buds following chorda tympani nerve transection

The morphological changes that occur in the taste buds after denervation are not well under- stood in rats, especially in the contralateral tongue epithelium. In this study, we investigated the time course of morphological changes in the taste buds following unilateral nerve transection. The role of the trigeminal component of the lingual nerve in maintaining the structural integrity of the taste buds was also examined. Twenty-four Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups： control, unilateral chorda tympani nerve transection and unilateral chorda tympani nerve transection ＋ lingual nerve transection. Rats were allowed up to 42 days of re- covery before being euthanized. The taste buds were visualized using a cytokeratin 8 antibody. Taste bud counts, volumes and taste receptor cell numbers were quantified and compared among groups. No significant difference was detected between the chorda tympani nerve transection and chorda tympani nerve transection ＋ lingual nerve transection groups. Taste bud counts, volumes and taste receptor cell numbers on the ipsilateral side all decreased significantly compared with control. On the contralateral side, the number of taste buds remained unchanged over time, but they were larger, and taste receptor cells were more numerous postoperatively. There was no evidence for a role of the trigeminal branch of the lingual nerve in maintaining the structural integrity of the anterior taste buds.
