Phosphorus(P) fracti.ns and thei. bi.avai.abi.i.y i. the sedi.0}nts from.El m.x Bay and Lake m.ri.t i. Egypt were i.vesti.ated usi.g di.ferent chem.cal extracti.n m.thods. Sodi.m.bi.arbonate(NaHC03)extractable P(Olsen-P) was the largest fracti.n(14.42%), followed by algal avai.able P(AAP)(3.56%),water soluble P(WSP)(0.79%), and readi.y desorbable P(RDP)(0.06%) for El m.x Bay. Whi.e AAP contri.uted 9.94% to total P i. sedi.0}nts from.Lake m.ri.t, Olsen-P 8.53%, WSP 4.11%, and RDP 0.92%.Sum.ati.n of the bi.avai.able P fracti.ns di.n’t exceed the sedi.0}nt quali.y gui.eli.es, and, therefore, P doesn’t represent a danger to m.ri.e organi.m.. Correlati.n coeffi.i.nts showed that no apparent relati.ns between total P(TP) and i.on(Fe), alum.num.Al), and calci.m.Ca) i. the sedi.0}nts. Furtherm.re, Fe:P rati. was less than 15 i.di.ti.g that there was not enough Fe i. surface sedi.0}nts to bi.d to P at m.st of the sam.li.g si.es. The posi.i.e correlati.n between TP and organi. m.tter(Om. for Lake m.ri.t and El m.x Bay sedi.0}nts i.di.ated that the organi. m.tter content of the sedi.0}nt was a useful predi.tor of the total phosphorus content. Data from.thi. study consti.ute a baseli.e of phosphorus bi.avai.abi.i.y i. sedi.0}nts from.El m.x Bay and Lake m.ri.t and could be used as a reference for future studi.s on the changes of bi.avai.able and resi.ual phosphorus fracti.ns over ti.0}.

The Potenti.l Scenari.s of the i.0}acts of Cli.0}te Change on Egypti.n Resources and Agri.ultural Plant Producti.n

The em.ssi.ns of greenhouse gasses i. Egypt are about 0.58% of the total em.ssi.ns of the world i. the year 2015, although Egypt i. one of the countri.s m.st affected by the i.0}acts of cli.0}te change. By assessm.nt and analysi. of the expected econom.c i.0}acts of cli.0}te change by the year 2030, the Egypti.n culti.ated area wi.l be reduced to about 0.949 m.lli.n acres, equal to about 8.22% of the Egypti.n culti.ated area com.ared wi.h the case of no si.ki.g part of the Delta land, thus reduci.g crop area i. Egypt to about 1.406 m.lli.n acres, approxi.0}tely to about 6.25% of crop area com.ared wi.h the case of no si.ki.g part of the Delta land, i. addi.i.n to surplus i. the Egypti.n balance water to about 2.48 bi.li.n m.. i. thi. case value of the Egypti.n agri.ulture producti.n wi.l decrease by about 6.19 bi.li.n dollars, equal to about 6.19% com.ared wi.h presum.bly no si.ki.g of the Delta land. i. the case of si.ki.g 15% of Delta lands, wi.h the change of the producti.i.y and water consum.ti.n of m.st crops, the result wi.l be a reducti.n i. the culti.ated area to about 0.94 m.lli.n acres. i. addi.i.n to decreasi.g the Egypti.n crop area to about 1.39 m.lli.n acres, wi.h a defi.i. i. the Egypti.n balance water to about 4.74 bi.li.n m. com.ared to the case of no si.ki.g part of the Delta land, the culti.ated area wi.l decrease to about 8.17%, and the crop area wi.l decrease 6.18%. Also, the value of the Egypti.n agri.ulture producti.n wi.l decrease by about 12.51%. Whi.e com.ared to si.ki.g part of the Delta land to about 15% of the total Delta area wi.hout the other i.0}acts of cli.0}te change, the culti.ated area wi.l i.crease by about 0.06%;the crop area wi.l i.crease by about 0.08%;also, the value of the Egypti.n agri.ulture producti.n wi.l decrease by about 5.57%.

Perform.nce of the Alum.ni.e Coati.g of Som.Low Alloy Steels

Two low alloy steels 0.5Cr-0.5m.-0.25V and H85 were pack-alum.ni.ed at 900°for 4 h by usi.g Fe-Al powder m.xture contai.i.g 48% Fe, 20.6% Al- 29.4% Al2O3 and 2% NH4Cl by wei.ht. The m.crohardness and oxi.ati.n resi.tance at 900℃ of the alum.ni.e coati.gs were studi.d. i. was found that pack-alum.ni.i.g i.0}roves the m.crohardness of the 0.5Cro.5m.-0.25V steel whi.e i. reduces the m.crohardness of the H85 steel. Pack alum.ni.i.g hi.hly i.0}roves the oxi.ati.n resi.tance after 20h exposure at 900℃ i. ai. for the i.vesti.ated steels.
