The flesh color of pummelo(Citrus maxima)fruits is highly diverse and largely depends on the level of carotenoids,which are beneficial to human *** is vital to investigate the regulatory network of carotenoid biosynthesis to improve the carotenoid content in ***,the molecular mechanism underlying carotenoid accumulation in pummelo is not fully *** this study,we identified a novel histone methyltransferase gene,CgSdG40,involved in carotenoid regulation by analyzing the flesh transcriptome of typical white-fleshed pummelo,red-fleshed pummelo and extreme-colored F1 hybrids from a segregated pummelo *** of CgSdG40 corresponded to flesh color change and was highly coexpressed with ***,CgSdG40 and CgPSY1 are located physically adjacent to each other on the chromosome in opposite directions,sharing a partially overlapping promoter *** localization analysis indicated that CgSdG40 localizes to the *** of CgSdG40 significantly increased the total carotenoid content in citrus calli relative to that in wild *** addition,expression of CgPSY1 was significantly activated in overexpression lines relative to wild *** together,our findings reveal a novel histone methyltransferase regulator,CgSdG40,involved in the regulation of carotenoid biosynthesis in citrus and provide new strategies for molecular design breeding and genetic improvement of fruit color and nutritional quality.

development and Catalytic Cracking Performance of Ultrastable Y Zeolite Rich in Secondary Pores

A novel ultra-stable zeolite, NSZ, rich in secondary pores was developed through the combination of gas-phase andmild hydrothermal methods. This zeolite was successfully tested in an industrial setting for the first time in the world. The porestructure characteristics of the NSZ zeolite prepared for industrial use were analyzed and characterized using BET. The resultsindicate a significant increase in the secondary pore volume of NSZ zeolite compared to the existing ultra-stable zeolite HSZ-5, which is produced through a conventional gas-phase method. The average secondary pore volume to total pore volume ratioin NSZ zeolite was found to be 58.96% higher. The catalytic cracking performance of NSZ zeolite was evaluated. The resultsshowed that the NSC-lTA catalyst, with NSZ as the active component, outperformed the HSC-lTA catalyst with HSZ-5 zeolitein terms of obtaining more high-value products (gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas) during the hydrogenated light cycle oilprocessing. Additionally, the NSC-lTA catalyst showed a significant improvement in coke selectivity.

Climate-driven changes in drought metrics across the Yellow River Basin based on Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6

Recent climate change has accelerated the global hydrological cycle, substantially affecting drought metrics such as drought duration and drought propagation;however, knowledge of drought patterns in these metrics remains limited. Here, we aimed to address the evolution and influencing factors of major drought metrics under past and future climate scenarios within the Yellow River Basin(YRB) based on Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6). Accordingly, we investigated the changes in drought duration for meteorological drought and agricultural drought across the YRB and identified the variability in drought propagation time from meteorological drought to agricultural drought by using a standardized precipitation/soil moisture index and run theory. Meteorological and agricultural drought duration, and propagation time, increased from 1850 to 2014, decreased significantly from 2015 to 2100 with change trends of –0.0027, –0.0197, and –0.002 month/year, respectively. drought duration had a negative sensitivity to humidification, and agricultural drought was more sensitive than meteorological drought. Propagation time exhibited a greater sensitivity to meteorological humidification than agricultural humidification. The results also suggest that precipitation, evapotranspiration, and soil moisture are the main drivers of drought metric changes, with air temperature and crop cover exhibiting a strong indirect effect on drought metrics in the YRB. decreased propagation time from meteorological to agricultural drought and decreased duration provide evidence for the accelerated occurrence and increased impact of drought, highlighting the importance of a more comprehensive understanding of drought metric changes under rapid climate change.

Implications for fault reactivation and seismicity induced by hydraulic fracturing

Evaluating the physical mechanisms that link hydraulic fracturing(HF) operations to induced earthquakes and the anticipated form of the resulting events is significant in informing subsurface fluid injection operations. Current understanding supports the overriding role of the effective stress magnitude in triggering earthquakes, while the impact of change rate of effective stress has not been systematically addressed. In this work, a modified critical stiffness was brought up to investigate the likelihood, impact,and mitigation of induced seismicity during and after hydraulic fracturing by developing a poroelastic model based on rate-and-state fraction law and linear stability analysis. In the new criterion, the change rate of effective stress was considered a key variable to explore the evolution of this criterion and hence the likelihood of instability slip of fault. A coupled fluid flow-deformation model was used to represent the entire hydraulic fracturing process in COMSOl Multiphysics. The possibility of triggering an earthquake throughout the entire hydraulic fracturing process, from fracturing to cessation, was investigated considering different fault locations, orientations, and positions along the fault. The competition between the effects of the magnitude and change rate of effective stress was notable at each fracturing stage. The effective stress magnitude is a significant controlling factor during fracturing events, with the change rate dominating when fracturing is suddenly started or stopped. Instability dominates when the magnitude of the effective stress increases(constant injection at each fracturing stage) and the change rate of effective stress decreases(the injection process is suddenly stopped). Fracturing with a high injection rate, a fault adjacent to the hydraulic fracturing location and the position of the junction between the reservoir and fault are important to reduce the Coulomb failure stress(CFS) and enhance the critical stiffness as

Spatial-temporal Patterns of Urban Parks’Effects on the Sentiments and Their Associated Factors Based on Social Media data——a Case Study in Beijing

As the pivotal green space,urban parks play an important role in urban residents’daily *** can not only bring people physical health,but also can be more likely to elicit positive sentiment to those who visit ***,social media big data has provided new data sources for sentiment ***,there was limited researches that explored the connection between urban parks and individual’s ***,this study firstly employed a pre-trained language model(BERT,Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers)to calculate sentiment scores based on social media ***,this study analysed the relationship between urban parks and individual’s sentiment from both spatial and temporal ***,by utilizing structural equation model(SEM),we identified 13 factors and analyzed its degree of the *** research findings are listed as below:①It confirmed that individuals generally experienced positive sentiment with high sentiment scores in the majority of urban parks;②The urban park type showed an influence on sentiment *** this study,higher sentiment scores observed in Eco-parks,comprehensive parks,and historical parks;③The urban parks level showed low impact on sentiment *** distinctions observed mainly at level-3 and level-4;④Compared to internal factors in parks,the external infrastructure surround them exerted more significant impact on sentiment *** instance,number of bus and subway stations around urban parks led to higher sentiment scores,while scenic spots and restaurants had inverse *** study provided a novel method to quantify the services of various urban parks,which can be served as inspiration for similar studies in other cities and countries,enhancing their park planning and management strategies.

Initiation and Kinematic Process of debris Flow with the Existence of Terraced Fields at the Sources

A debris flow, with terraced fields as the source area, broke out on June 25th, 2018 in the Xiaotuga area of Yunnan Province, China, and this kind of debris flow is rarely recorded. Two purposes in this study:(1) the influence of flow drag force on slope stability;(2) back-analyze the movement process of debris flow. First, the geological background and movement of this debris flow were described based on a field investigation. Then, drag force, calculated by the laminar flow theory, is added to the slope stability calculation model, which elaborates the initiation process of this disaster. Moreover, dynamic simulation software(dAN3d) was used to simulate the kinematic process of the debris flow with a variety of combination models. The study shows that the terrace area can quickly produce surface runoff and create a drag force under rainfall conditions, which is the essential reason for the initiation of debris flow. In addition, the use of the FVV(Frictional-Voellmy-Voellmy) model is found to provide the best performance in simulating this type of debris flow, which reveals that it lasts approximately 200 s and that the maximum velocity is 12 m/s.
