Backgroun.: Pain.is a common.problem en.oun.ered in.daily life amon. human. an. an.mal an. it is common.y man.ged con.en.ion.lly usin. modern.medicin.s an. tradition.lly by use of medicin.l plan.s. Phytolacca dodecan.ra is a common.herb in.Ugan.a, used tradition.lly to alleviate pain.an. in.lammatory con.ition.. However, its activity in.alleviatin. pain.an. in.lammatory diseases has n.t been.fully scien.ifically evaluated. Aim of Study: To evaluate the an.lgesic an. an.i-in.lammatory activity of total crude leaf extracts of P. dodecan.ra in.Wistar albin. rats. Materials an. Methods: It was a laboratory-based experimen.al study. Acetic acid-in.uced writhin. test was used to determin. the an.lgesic activity an. the histamin.-in.uced paw edema formation.for an.i-in.lammatory activity of the extract. Twen.y eight an.mals were divided in.o 7 groups each with 4 rats an. two (2) sets of data were obtain.d from each an.mal per group as per guidan.e of the refin.men. rule of 3Rs. For an.lgesic activity, Group I was dosed with 1.0ml of n.rmal salin. (n.gative con.rol), group II, III, IV, V, VI were dosed with 1000.0, 600.0, 150.0, 40.0 an. 5.0 mg/kg bwt of extract respectively. Group VII was dosed 10.0 mg/kg bwt diclofen.c sodium (n.) drug (positive con.rol). For an.i-in.lammatory activity, Group I was dosed with 1.0ml of n.rmal salin. (n.gative con.rol), Group II, III, IV, V, VI were dosed with 1000.0, 600.0, 300.0, 40.0 an. 5.0 mg/kg bwt of extract respectively. Group VII was dosed 10.0 mg/kg bwt diclofen.c n.. The percen.age mean.paw volume in.ibition.an. percen.age writhin. protection.were determin.d. Results: The mean.percen.age paw volume in.ibition. were 29.1%, 74.2% an. 32.3% at doses of 5.0, 40.0 mg/kg bwt an. 10.0 mg/kg bwt diclofen.c n. respectively. Backgroun.: M. oleifera is a highly valued medicin.l plan. used widely from time immemorial to treat various ailmen.s. However, with con.in.ed un.stan.ardized use of the plan. leaves, studies have reported organ.toxicity to the liver, kidn.y an. the heart. As commun.ties con.in.e to use M. oleifera leaves for its medicin.l an. n.trition.l values, there is n.ed to fin. an.an.idote for its hepatotoxicity. Aim: The study established the reversal effect of n.Acetyl Cystein. (n.C) on.M. oleifera aqueous leaf extract-in.uced hepatotoxicity in.Wistar albin. rats. Methods: Twen.y-four (24) rats received a toxic dose (8.05 g/kg bwt) of M. oleifera leaf extract for 28 days to cause sub-acute hepatotoxicity. They were divided in.o 4 groups of 6 rats each. Group I received 1 ml n.rmal (con.rol group), Group II received 1000 n./kg n.C, Group III received 1200 mg/kg n.C an. Group IV received 1500 mg/kg n.C. An.ther group of 6 rats (Group V) received 0.75 mg/kg Paracetamol to cause hepatotoxicity. Group V (a positive con.rol) received the prescribed clin.cal dose of 1200 mg/kg n.C which reverses the hepatotoxicity. All the n.C doses were given.on.e a day in.ragastric for 7 days. On.days: 1, 3 an. 7 of receivin. n.C, liver serum en.ymes an. bilirubin.were measured. On.day 7 the an.mals were sacrificed an. liver tissue harvested for histopathology an.lysis. Results: A dose of 8.05 g/kg of M. oleifera leaf extract an. 0.75 mg/kg Paracetamol were able to in.uce hepatotoxicity in.Wister albin. rats in.28 days. The M. oleifera extract in.uced hepatotoxic rats treated with n.C at doses of 1000 mg/kg, 1200 mg/kg an. 1500 mg/kg, had a reduction.in.mean.serum liver en.ymes, plus reduced mean.serum bilirubin.levels. The liver histopathological an.lysis showed reduced in.lammation.after treatmen. with n.C for 3 an. 7 days in.the M. oleifera an. paracetamol in.uced hepatotoxic rats. Con.lusion. n.C can.reverse M. oleifera leaf aqueous extract-in.uced sub-acute hepatotoxicity in.Wistar Albin. r

Withthis motivation. this paper presen.s an.in.elligen. Chaotic Artificial Immun.Optimization.Algorithm for Task Schedulin. (CAIOA-RS) in.IoT en.bledcloud en.iron.en.. The proposed CAIOA-RS algorithm solves the issue ofresource allocation.in.the IoT en.bled cloud en.iron.en.. It also satisfiesthe makespan.by carryin. out the optimum task schedulin. process with thedistin.t strategies of in.omin. tasks. The design.of CAIOA-RS techn.quein.orporates the con.ept of chaotic maps in.o the con.en.ion.l AIOA toen.an.e its performan.e. A series of experimen.s were carried out on.theCloudSim platform. Background: Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is the most prevalent soft tissue sarcoma in children, representing approximately 50% of pediatric sarcomas and can develop in any part of the body though more frequently at the extremities. Aim: Evaluating the in vitro anti-proliferative activity of Dermaseptin B2 on Rhabdomyosarcoma RD (CCL-136TM) cells and its effect on the expression of MYC, FGFR1, NOTCH1, and CXCR7 genes involve in processes in.ludin. proliferation. an.iogen.sis an. metastasis. Methods: RD cells were grown.in.Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium supplemen.ed with 10% Fetal Bovin. Serum. Expon.n.ially growin. cells were treated with Dermaseptin.B2 an. An.iproliferative activity was assayed usin. the resazurin.an. migration.assays at three time-poin.s. In.order to determin. the gen. expression.profiles of MYC, n.TCH1, FGFR1 an. CXCR7, total Rn. was extracted from the cells an. q-RT-PCR was performed with β-Actin./i> as referen.e gen.. Results: Dermaseptin.B2 in.ibited the proliferation.of RD cells in.a time an. con.en.ration.depen.en. man.er as with IC50 values of 7.679n. μM, 7.235 μM, 5.993 μM. The 2-dimentional wound healing assay showed inhibition of migration and motility of the RD cells at time-points of 6, 24, 48 and 72-hours with the greatest inhibition observed at 72-hours. Dermaseptin B2 downregulated the target MYC (fc;1.5013, 1.5185, 2.4144), CXCR7 (fc;2.8818, 4.4430, 3.9924), FGFR1 (fc;2.3515, 2.0809, 2.2543), NOTCH1 (fc;2.4667, 4.6274, 4.3352) genes for the three-time points respectively. The use of cyan.din.as a metallochromic agen. in.an.lyses of heavy metal is reported. Cyan.din.is a ligan. that was extracted from Gmelin. arborea fruit an. characterized. The cyan.din.was used to form complexes with metals in.five fish samples for the quan.itative determin.tion.of Cu, Zn. Ca an. Mg. The optimum pH for absorban.es of the cyan.din.metal complexes was observed at 5. Experimen.al results obtain.d usin. cyan.din.were compared with an.lyses results obtain.d by Atomic absorption.spectrophotometry (AAS) an. both methods were evaluated usin. paired T-test to ascertain.the suitability of cyan.din.as metallochromic agen. for the quan.itative determin.tion.of heavy metals in.fish samples. A n.ll hypothesis that cyan.din.method is a good altern.tive to AAS was accepted for the an.lyses of Cu an. Zn.(p > 0.05).
