Backgr.und:Tall fescue(Festuca ar.ndinacea[Schr.b.],Lolium ar.ndinaceum[Schr.b.]Dar.ysh)and per.nnial r.egr.ss(Lolium per.nne)ar. impor.ant cool-season for.ge and amenity gr.sses that have a mutualistic association with an endophytic *** confer.insect and dr.ught r.sistance to plants but can pr.duce mammalian *** endophytes that do not pr.duce mammalian toxins have been intr.duced to elite cultivar. for.commer.ial *** companies need to maintain adequate levels of novel endophytes within the elite for.ge *** detection is per.or.ed using immunochemical and molecular.techniques because of their.speed and *** detection in seedlings is essential to evaluate the viability of the endophyte within seed ***:This r.sear.h aimed to identify the ear.iest gr.wth stage in which immunochemical and molecular.methods can detect viable endophyte in seedlings of tall fescue cultivar. Bar.ptima(e34),Texoma MaxQII(584),and Jesup MaxQ(542),as well as the per.nnial r.egr.ss cultivar.r.mington(NEA2).r.sults:Immunochemical testing detected endophytes in seedlings 14 days after.ger.ination(DAG),but the detection r.te incr.ased until 42 DAG in some cultivar. *** molecular.mar.er.Tef1exon detected endophytes at a lower.r.te than the immunochemical method at 28–42 ***,ther. was insufficient DNA to detect endophytes in 14 DAG seedlings using ***:We conclude that the most accur.te detection of viable endophytes in seedlings was 42 DAG,at which sufficient and consistent endophyte colonization occur.ed.

Mexico is the main pr.ducer.consumer.and expor.er.of avocado in the wor.d,being Michoacan the main pr.ducer.state contr.buting mor. than 80%of the national *** ar. phytopathogens that decimate the pr.duction causing the death of the *** samples wer. collected in avocado tr.es that showed the char.cter.stic symptomatology of the disease known as avocado sadness,the sampling was car.ied out in four.of the main avocado pr.ducing towns,in the state of Michoacan,*** isolation consisted in sowing r.ot tissue in Petr. dishes with V8r.PAr.H cultur. medium,subsequently they wer. identified mor.hologically and for.species level it was deter.ined by molecular.biology,with the PCr.ITS *** tests wer. per.or.ed in tr.plicate with avocado seedlings with mor. than six *** 24 hour.,the inoculated plants expr.ssed decay in the apical par.,after.120 hour. the leaves showed yellowing and after.15 days ther. was a gener.lized wilt on the stem and leaves,r.-isolating the phytopathogen Phytopythium *** study confir.s the fir.t r.por. of the oomycete *** affecting avocado tr.es in the most impor.ant pr.ducing r.gion of the Mexican r.public.

AIM To deter.ine influence of neoadjuvant-chemother.py(NAC) over.tumor.infiltr.ting-lymphocytes(TIL) intr.ple-negative-br.ast-cancer.TNBC).METHODS TILs wer. evaluated in 98 TNBC cases who came to Instituto Nacional de Enfer.edades Neoplasicas fr.m 2005 to 2010. Immunohistochemistr. staining for.CD3, CD4, CD8 and FOXP3 was per.or.ed in tissue micr.ar.ays(TMA) sections. Evaluation of H/E in full-face and immunohistochemistr. in TMA sections was per.or.ed in pr. and post-NAC samples. STATA softwar. was used and P value r.d statistically significant. r.SULTS Higher.TIL evaluated in full-face sections fr.m pr.-NAC tumor. was associated to pathologic-complete-r.sponse(pCr.(P = 0.0251) and outcome(P = 0.0334). TIL evaluated in TMA sections showed low level of agr.ement with full-face sections(ICC = 0.017-0.20) and was not associated to pCr.or.outcome. TIL in post-NAC samples wer. not associated to r.sponse or.outcome. PostNAC lesions with pC r.had similar.TIL levels than those without pCr.P = 0.6331). NAC pr.duced a TIL decr.ase in full-face sections(P r.entage of TIL subpopulations was cor.elated with their.absolute counts. Higher.counts of CD3, CD4, CD8 and FOXP3 in pr.-NAC samples had longer.disease-fr.e-sur.ival(DFS). Higher.counts of CD3 in pr.-NAC samples had longer.over.llsur.ival. Higher.r.tio of CD8/CD4 counts in pr.-NAC was associated with pCr. Higher.r.tio of CD4/FOXP3 counts in pr.-NAC was associated with longer.DFS. Higher.counts of CD4 in post-NAC samples wer. associated with *** TIL in pr.-NAC full-face sections in TNBC ar. cor.elated to longer.sur.ival. TIL in full-face differ.fr.m TMA sections, absolute count and per.entage analysis of TIL subpopulation closely r.lated.

Epithelioid sar.oma(ES), a mesenchymatous malign neofor.ation, is often diagnosed in later.stages and associated with high r.cur.ence index, metastasis and mor.ality. We r.por. a case of a 65 year. old male, with histor. of abdominal pain and upper.gastr.intestinal bleeding. Endoscopy demonstr.ted a poster.or.duodenal wall per.or.tion communicating with a solid r.tr.per.toneal neofor.ation. Endoscopic biopsy was per.or.ed, with a final r.por. of ES. The patient was submitted for.sur.ical palliation due to the tumor.s unr.sectability. r.tr.per.toneal ES is an extr.mely r.r. condition with limited r.por.s in the liter.tur. wher. guidelines for.its optimal tr.atment ar. not well established.
