Background:Bite mark identification is based on the individuality of a dentition and helps in identifying the *** use of three-dimensional(3D)analysis of forensic evidence is highlighted in comparison with traditional *** has been used in registering bite mark on food *** our knowledge this is the first study where CBCT is used to register bite mark from human *** and Objective:To signify the potential of CBCT in registering and analysing the bite mark on human skin and to analyse various identifying *** and Method:60 subjects of either sex were asked to bite their own forearm and alginate impression of the maxillary and mandible dentition was taken and cast was *** bitemark and cast was subjected to CBCT scanning and parameters like arch shape,inter canine width,mesio distal dimension of anterior teeth,and individual characteristics like rotation,buccal/lingual tilting of teeth was noted and compared and assigned a score using simplified version ofABFO scoring ***:Highly significant result with 56.6%definite match,26.66%probable match and 16.66%possible match were obtained using ***:CBCT is a non-destructive,accurate,efficient,objective and reproducible *** of all parameter mesio-distal dimension of teeth is the best parameter to judge the bitemark on skin.

Objective:To explore the effect and mechanism of action of Celastrus paniculatus oil on the treatment of perinatal rats with attention deficit hyperactivity ***:In the perinatal stage,the rats were either isolated or administered with lead acetate to establish an animal model of attention deficit hyperactivity *** served as the reference ***’behaviours were assessed through Y-maze,novel object preference,fear conditioning and residentintruder aggression *** stress parameters,bioamine concentration(dopamine,noradrenaline and 5-hydroxytryptamine),nerve growth factor,interleukin-6,nuclear factor-κB,and tumour necrosis factor(TNF)-αwere *** immunohistochemical assay was ***:Celastrus paniculatus oil significantly improved behavioural parameters in Y maze,novel object preference,discrimination index,fear conditioning and resident intruder aggressive *** treatment groups showed a decrease in malondialdehyde *** in the levels of dopamine,noradrenaline,and serotonin were restored by Celastrus paniculatus *** paniculatus oil increased nerve growth factor and decreased interleukin-6,nuclear factor-κB,and TNF-α.synaptophysin immunoreactivity was also improved by Celastrus paniculatus oil with alleviated reactive gliosis,degeneration,and vascular ***:This research shows the therapeutic potential of Celastrus paniculatus oil for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Background:The distance from the inferior border of mental foramen(MF)to lower border of mandible remains constant throughout the *** this fact the present study was carried out to determine role of MF in age and gender estimation and also its importance in planning various *** and Objective:(1)To determine the most common type and shape of MF 2)To measure the height of the mandibular body(H),the distance between the superior margin of the MF to the alveolar crest(sM-AC),the distance between the superior margin of the MF to the inferior border of the mandible(sM-IB),the distance between the inferior margin of the MF to the inferior border(IM-IB)on the right side and left side.(3)To compare the above measurements for age and gender determination.(4)To determine effect of various factors on above measurements(5)to evaluate whether any significant difference in measurement occurs on right and left side.(6)To derive a regression equation for age *** and Methods:A total of 300 Orthopantomogram were *** such as H,sM-AC,sM-IB and IM-IB were carried out on both sides on type II MF in males and females in all the six age *** analysis was carried using IBM sPss version 24 to determine differences in measurements and linear regression analysis was carried out to determine age of ***:The most common appearance of MF was type II and shape was *** significant differences occurred in measurements using which regressive equation for age estimation was derived for males&***:MF,being a stable landmark in mandible,serves as a good indicator for the determination of age and ***,using certain measurements related to MF,it can help in determining the age of the ***,its position and distance from the alveolar crest serve as a guide for orthognathic surgeries,implant placement,and pre-prosthetic surgery.

Aims: The purpose of this study was to determine the sex of primary and permanent tooth pulp tissue under different environmental conditions using deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) analysis and the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification method. Materials and Methods: For this study, 40 permanent and primary teeth (20 males and 20 females) that were scheduled for extraction were used. For 6 months, the teeth were divided into four groups of ten (5 males and 5 females) based on different environmental conditions. The pulp was extracted from each tooth, DNA was isolated using QIAGEN’s DNeasy Blood and Tissue Kit, and sex was determined using a PCR technique. Results: DNA was extracted from all 40 samples subjected to various environmental conditions, but sex was correctly determined in only 90% of the samples. Conclusions: PCR-based sex determination using primary and permanent teeth under different environmental conditions for up to 6 months is a reliable technique with high accuracy.

Background:India reports the highest number of tuberculosis(TB)cases *** has a dual impact as it increases the risk of TB and exposes the poor to economic hardship when they develop *** objective was to estimate the costs incurred by patients with drug-susceptible TB in Bhavnagar(western India)using an adapted World Health Organization costing ***:We conducted a descriptive cross-sectional study of adults,notified in the public sector and being treated for drug-susceptible pulmonary TB during January-June 2019,in six urban and three rural blocks of Bhavnagar region,Gujarat state,*** direct and indirect TB-related costs,as well as patients’coping strategies,were assessed for the overall care of TB till treatment *** costs were defined as total costs>20%of annual household income(excluding any amount received from cash transfer programs or borrowed).Median and interquartile range(IQR)was used to summarize patient *** median costs between any two groups were compared using the median *** association between any two categorical variables was tested by the Pearson chi-squared *** costs were described in Us dollars(UsD).During the study period,on average,one UsD equalled 70 Indian ***:Of 458 patients included,70%were male,62%had no formal education,71%lived in urban areas,and 96%completed TB *** median(IQR)total costs were UsD 8(5-28),direct medical costs were UsD 0(0-0),direct non-medical costs were UsD 3(2-4)and indirect costs were UsD 6(3-13).Among direct non-medical costs,travel cost(median=UsD 3,IQR:2-4)to attend health facilities were the most prominent,whereas the indirect costs were mainly contributed by the patient’s loss of wages(median=UsD 3,IQR:0-6).Four percent of patients faced catastrophic costs,11%borrowed money to cover costs and 7%lost their employment;the median working days lost to TB was 30(IQR:15-45).A majority(88%)of patients received a median UsD 43(IQR:41-43)a
