Dry-fermented sausages are a good source of bioactive peptides,whose stability against gastrointestinal(GI)digestion determines their *** study focused on evaluating the effect of peptide extracts from sausages fermented with Staphylococcus simulans QB7 during in vitro simulated GI digestion,including peptide profiles and antioxidant and anti-inflammatory *** present in sausages were degraded during digestion,with molecular weight reduced from>12 kDa to<1.5 ***,the content of amino acids increased from 381.15 to 527.07 mg/g,especially tyrosine being found only after GI *** anti-inflammatory activities were increased after GI digestion,however,the changes in antioxidant activities were the opposite.A total number of 255,252 and 386 peptide sequences were identified in undigested,peptic-digested and GI-digested samples,***,BIOPEP-UWM and admetSAR were used to further predict the functional properties and intestinal absorption of the identified peptide sequences from GI ***,18 peptides were discovered to possess either antioxidant or anti-inflammatory capacities.

Recent advances in genome editing,especially CRISPR-Cas nucleases,have revolutionized both laboratory research and clinical ***-Cas nucleases,together with the DNA damage repair pathway in cells,enable both genetic diversification by classical non-homologous end joining(c-NHEJ)and precise genome modification by homology-based repair(HBR).Genome editing in zygotes is a convenient way to edit the germline,paving the way for animal disease model generation,as well as human embryo genome editing therapy for some life-threatening and incurable *** efficiency is highly dependent on the DNA donor that is utilized as a repair ***,we review recent progress in improving CRISPR-Cas nuclease-induced HBR in mammalian embryos by designing a suitable DNA ***,we want to provide a guide for producing animal disease models and correcting genetic mutations through CRISPR-Cas nuclease-induced HBR in mammalian ***,we discuss recent developments in precise genome-modification technology based on the CRISPR-Cas system.

In order to quantify the influence of external forcings on the predictability limit using observational data,the author introduced an algorithm of the conditional nonlinear local Lyapunov exponent(CNLLE)*** effectiveness of this algorithm is validated and compared with the nonlinear local Lyapunov exponent(NLLE)and signal-to-noise ratio methods using a coupled Lorenz *** results show that the CNLLE method is able to capture the slow error growth constrained by external forcings,therefore,it can quantify the predictability limit induced by the external *** this basis,a preliminary attempt was made to apply this method to measure the influence of ENSO on the predictability limit for both atmospheric and oceanic variable *** spatial distribution of the predictability limit induced by ENSO is similar to that arising from the initial conditions calculated by the NLLE *** similarity supports ENSO as the major predictable signal for weather and climate *** addition,a ratio of predictability limit(RPL)calculated by the CNLLE method to that calculated by the NLLE method was *** RPL larger than 1 indicates that the external forcings can significantly benefit the long-term predictability *** instance,ENSO can effectively extend the predictability limit arising from the initial conditions of sea surface temperature over the tropical Indian Ocean by approximately four months,as well as the predictability limit of sea level pressure over the eastern and western Pacific ***,the impact of ENSO on the geopotential height predictability limit is primarily confined to the troposphere.

Frequency-constrained Co-planning of Generation and Energy Storage with High-penetration Renewable Energy

Large-scale renewable energy integration decreases the system inertia and restricts frequency regulation. To maintain the frequency stability, allocating adequate frequency-support sources poses a critical challenge to planners. In this context, we propose a frequency-constrained coordination planning model of thermal units, wind farms, and battery energy storage systems (BESSs) to provide satisfactory frequency supports. Firstly, a modified multi-machine system frequency response (MSFR) model that accounts for the dynamic responses from both synchronous generators and grid-connected inverters is constructed with preset power-headroom. Secondly, the rate-of-change-of-frequency (ROCOF) and frequency response power are deduced to construct frequency constraints. A data-driven piecewise linearization (DDPWL) method based on hyperplane fitting and data classification is applied to linearize the highly nonlinear frequency response power. Thirdly, frequency constraints are inserted into our planning model, while the unit commitment based on the coordinated operation of the thermal-hydro-wind-BESS hybrid system is implemented. At last, the proposed model is applied to the IEEE RTS-79 test system. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of our co-planning model to keep the frequency stability.

Configuration errors are proved to be the main reasons for network interruption and *** researchers have paid their attention to configuration analysis and provisioning,but few works focus on understanding the configuration *** this paper,we uncover the configuration evolution of an operational IP backbone based on the weekly reports gathered from January 2006 to January *** find that rate limiting and launching routes for new customers are configured most *** addition,we conduct an analysis of network failures and find that link failures are the main causes for network *** suggest that we should configure redundant links for the links which are easy to break *** last,according to the analysis results,we illustrate how to provide semi-automated configuration for rate limiting and adding customers.

The effects of the filtering granule particle size and filtration superficial velocity on the dust particle size distribution in different layers of a granular bed system are discussed herein.A multilayer drawer granular bed filtration system was designed for these experiments based on filtering fly ash from a power *** a 1-h experiment,47.8% of dust particles smaller than 2.5μm,63.7% of dust particles smaller than 10μm,and 39.1% of dust particles larger than 10μm were captured by the granular bed(corresponding to initial volume fractions of 6%,19.3%,and 80.7%,respectively).Large dust particles were more easily trapped by the granular bed than small dust *** the size of the filter granules and increasing the superficial velocity of the inlet flue gas were both effective ways to enhance the dust-holding capacity of the granular media throughout the granular bed.

This study investigates the effects of the assumption on the types of air-mass conservation prescribed in numerical ***,predictions of the July 2021(“21.7”)Henan extreme rainfall event from the Integrated Forecast System(IFS)at ECMWF were compared with those from the Yin-He Global Spectral Model(YHGSM),which is a global spectral model with total air-mass conservation(TMC)and dry air-mass conservation(DMC)***,a sensitivity test between simulations from the YHGSM adopting TMC and DMC was *** results show that both the IFS and YHGSM predicted relatively well the 24-h rainfall amount less than 100 mm day−1 on 20 and 21 July 2021 at lead times of 84,60,and 36 *** heavy precipitation exceeding 100 mm day−1,however,both models obviously underestimated the daily rainfall amount on 20 July 2021,but the YHGSM produced more precise and stable precipitation forecasts on these two days than the IFS,especially the maximum 24-h precipitation amount,with better consistency at lead times of 84,60,and 36 *** differences are further examined in the sensitivity *** from the YHGSM with DMC show rainfall distributions and daily rainfall amounts closer to the observations at longer lead *** is inferred that considering sources or sinks of total water in dynamical cores with DMC may have positive feedback for the precise prediction of *** extreme rainfall events,the high local loss of total water may have caused a loss of the atmospheric mass,leading to an additional decrease in surface ***,the unbalanced pressure gradient force enhances the cyclonic rotation of surface wind and strengthens convergence in the lower troposphere,which in turn further strengthens the vertical velocity,circularly contributing to the enhanced precipitation if the water vapor condition is favorable.

Operational risk events have severely impacted the development of third-party payment(TPP)platforms,and have even led to a discussion on the operational risk capital charge settlement by relevant international ***,prior studies have mostly focused on qualitative mechanism analysis,and have rarely examined quantitative risk assessment based on actual operational risk ***,this study attempts to assess the operational risk on TPP platforms in China by constructing a systematic framework incorporating database construction and risk ***,the operational risk database that covers 202 events between Q1,2014,and Q2,2020 is ***,specific causes are clarified,and the characteristics are analyzed from both the trend and loss severity ***,the piecewise-defined severity distribution based-Loss Distribution Approach(PSD-LDA)with double truncation is utilized to assess the operational *** main conclusions are drawn from the empirical ***,legal risk and external fraud risk are the two main causes of operational ***,the yearly Value at Risk and Expected Shortfall are 724.46 million yuan and 1081.98 million yuan under the 99.9%significance level,*** results are beneficial for both TPP platform operators and regulators in managing and controlling operational risk.

Evaluating the mechanical properties of anisotropic shale containing bedding and natural fractures with discrete element modeling

Natural fracture data from one of the Carboniferous shale masses in the eastern Qaidam Basin were used to establish a stochastic model of a discrete fracture network and to perform discrete element simulation research on the size efect and mechanical parameters of *** solutions of fctitious joints in transversely isotropic media were derived,which made it possible for the proposed numerical model to simulate the bedding and natural fractures in shale *** results indicate that there are two main factors infuencing the representative elementary volume(REV)size of a shale *** frst and most decisive factor is the presence of natural fractures in the block *** second is the anisotropy ratio:the greater the anisotropy is,the larger the *** bedding angle has little infuence on the REV size,whereas it has a certain infuence on the mechanical parameters of the rock *** the bedding angle approaches the average orientation of the natural fractures,the mechanical parameters of the shale blocks decrease *** REV representing the mechanical properties of the Carboniferous shale masses in the eastern Qaidam Basin were comprehensively identifed by considering the infuence of bedding and natural *** the numerical model size is larger than the REV,the fractured rock mass discontinuities can be transformed into equivalent continuities,which provides a method for simulating shale with natural fractures and bedding to analyze the stability of a borehole wall in shale.

A series of H3PW12O40/BiVO4 composite with different H3PW12O40 loadings were prepared using a hydrothermal and impregnation method. The prepared composites were characterized by XRD, Raman, SEM, XPS, and DRS techniques. The bandgap of the composite was narrower compared with the as-prepared pure BiVO4 . As a novel photocatalytic material, the photocatalytic performance of the H3PW12O40/BiVO4 composite was investigated by the degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye solution under visible light irradiation and compared with that of pure BiVO4 . The results revealed that the introduction of H3PW12O40 could improve the photocatalytic performance and different concentrations of H3PW12O40 resulted in different photocatalytic activities. The highest activity was obtained by the sample with a loading HPW concentration of 10 wt%. The reason for the enhanced photocatalytic activities of H3PW12O40/BiVO4 samples was also discussed in this paper. Moreover, the H3PW12O40/BiVO4 composites retained the catalytic activity after four repeated experiments.
