Modification of CeO_2-ZrO_2 catalyst by potassium for NOx-assisted soot oxidation

Potassium-modified ceria-zirconia catalyst was synthesized by wetness impregnation method. The ageing treatment was performed in static air at 800℃ for 20 hr to evaluate the thermal stability of the catalyst. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction, BET surface area, oxygen storage capacity, NOx-temperature programmed desorption and soot-temperature programmed oxidation measurements. By introduction of potassium, the maximum soot oxidation rate temperature （Tin） of the ceria-zirconia based catalyst decreased from 525 to 428℃ in the presence of NO under a loose contact mode. The shift of Tm of the K-modified catalyst after ageing is only 15℃. The enhanced activity of the aged catalyst mainly lies in the promotional effect of potassium on the NOx/oxygen storage capacity as well as the soot-catalyst contact.

liver fibrosis is a dynamic wound-healing response characterized by the agglutination of the extracellular matrix(ECM).Si-wu-Tang(SWT),a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formula,is known for treating gynecological diseases and liver *** previous studies demonstrated that long non-coding RNA H19(H19)was markedly upregulated in fibrotic livers while its deficiency markedly reversed ***,the mechanisms by which SWT influences H19 remain ***,we established a bile duct ligation(BDL)-induced liver fibrosis model to evaluate the hepatoprotective effects of SWT on various cells in the *** results showed that SWT markedly improved ECM deposition and bile duct reactions in the ***,SWT relieved liver fibrosis by regulating the transcription of genes involved in the cytoskeleton remodeling,primarily in hepatic stellate cells(HSCs),and influencing cytoskeleton-related angiogenesis and hepatocellular *** modulation collectively led to reduced ECM *** extensive bioinformatics analyses,we determined that H19 acted as a miRNA sponge and mainly inhibited miR-200,miR-211,and let7b,thereby regulating the above cellular regulatory ***,SWT reversed H19-related miRNAs and signaling pathways,diminishing ECM deposition and liver ***,these protective effects of SWT were diminished with the overexpression of H19 in *** conclusion,our study elucidates the underlying mechanisms of SWT from the perspective of H19-related signal networks and proposes a potential SWT-based therapeutic strategy for the treatment of liver fibrosis.

Four distinct types of sulfated peptides have been identiﬁed in Arabidopsis *** peptides play crucial roles in regulating plant development and stress *** studies have revealed that Xan-thomonas and Meloidogyne can secrete plant-like sulfated peptides,exploiting the plant sulfated peptide signaling pathway to suppress plant *** the past three decades,receptors for these four types of sulfated peptides have been identiﬁed,all of which belong to the leucine-rich repeat receptor-like protein kinase subfamily.A number of regulatory proteins have been demonstrated to play important roles in their corresponding signal transduction *** this review,we comprehensively summarize the discov-eries of sulfated peptides and their receptors,mainly in Arabidopsis *** also discuss their known biological functions in plant development and stress ***,we put forward a number of ques-tions for reference in future studies.

BACKGROUND Traumatic neuromas result from nerve injury after trauma or surgery but rarely occur in the bile ***,it is challenging to diagnose traumatic neuromas correctly *** some previous reports have described the imaging features of traumatic neuroma in the bile duct,no features of traumatic neuromas in the bile duct have been identified by using contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)imaging *** SUMMARY A 55-year-old male patient presented to our hospital with a 3-mo history of abdominal distension and anorexia and history of cholecystectomy 4 years *** ultrasound demonstrated mild to moderate intrahepatic bile duct ***,a hyperechoic nodule was found in the upper extrahepatic bile *** lesion approximately 0.8 cm×0.6 cm with a regular shape and clear *** nodule of the bile duct showed slight hyperenhancement in the arterial phase and isoenhancement in the venous phase on *** tests showed that alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase were increased significantly,while the tumor marker carbohydrate antigen 19-9 was increased ***,hilar bile duct resection and end-to-end bile ductal anastomosis were *** histological examination revealed traumatic neuroma of the extrahepatic bile *** patient had an uneventful recovery after *** The current report will help enhance the current knowledge regarding identifying traumatic neuromas by CEUS imaging and review the related literature.

Here, through the synergism between kinetic dynamic imine-exchange control and thermodynamic control, rarely observed compressible, porous, crystalline covalent organic framework (COF) aerogels were synthesized, the mechanism behind which is a framework crystallization induced self-assembly (FCISA) process. The prepared COF aerogel possessed extremely high BET surface over 2000 m^2·g^-1 and high maximum equilibrium adsorption capacity toward bisphenol-A of 699 mg·g^-1 in aqueous solution.

The study aims to investigate the effect of retinoic acid on the iodide uptake of MCF-7 cells and its mechanism. The iodide uptake and expression of hNIS(human sodium/iodide symporter)mRNA in the breast cancer MCF-7 cells were compared individually before and after the intervention of all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) with the iodide uptake assay and RT-PCR. The following results are obtained: (1) when treated with all-trans retinoic acid in the concentration of 1.0 μmol/L, the capacity of iodide uptake of MCF-7 cells reached about 1.5 times of the basal state; (2) 12 h after the intervention of 1.0 μmol/L ATRA,the hNISmRNA expression of the MCF-7 cells reached maximum. The study shows that all-trans retinoic acid has the effect to improve the iodide uptake of the MCF-7 cells and this effect may result from its up-regulation of the hNISmRNA expression.
