Sodium dimercaptopropane sulfonate is used in place of dimercaprol in the treatment of poisoning by heaving metals and metalloids as a well-known specific antidote. It is claimed to be less toxic. In early stage, the pharmacologists and clinical doctors in wenzhou medical college found this drug as antidote against non-metallic pesticides as nereistoxin insecticides, Chlordimeform, bactercide 402, and tetramine. We did a lot of animal experiments and clinical trials to confirm that this antagonist possesses a strong antidotal effect. Now it is widely used in china. Great break through has been made not only in the theory but also in its practice. Furthermore, the combination use of this antidote and central anticonvulsant as diazepam indicated synergistic antidotal effect, which is probably the best utilization in the treatment of acute poisoning by tetramine.

Microparticles have demonstrated value for regenerative *** in this field tend to focus on the development of intelligent multifunctional microparticles for tissue ***,inspired by erythrocytes-associated self-repairing process in damaged tissue,we present novel biomimetic erythrocyte-like microparticles(ELMPs).These ELMPs,which are composed of extracellular matrix-like hybrid hydrogels and the functional additives of black phosphorus,hemoglobin,and growth factors(GFs),are generated by using a microfluidic *** the resultant ELMPs have the capacity for oxygen delivery and near-infrared-responsive release of both GFs and oxygen,they would have excellent biocompatibility and multifunctional performance when serving as microscaffolds for cell adhesion,stimulating angiogenesis,and adjusting the release profile of *** on these features,we demonstrate that the ELMPs can stably overlap to fill a wound and realize controllable cargo release to achieve the desired curative effect of tissue ***,we consider our biomimetic ELMPs with discoid morphology and cargo-delivery capacity to be ideal for tissue engineering.

This study aims to conduct a cost-effectiveness analysis of three different anesthesia strategies,namely chatting while under local anesthesia(Chat-LA),total intravenous anesthesia(TIVA),and general anesthesia with laryngeal mask airway(GA-LMA),employed in transperineal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)/ultrasound(US)fusion prostate biopsy(TP-MUF-PB).A retrospective study was conducted involving 1202 patients who underwent TP-MUF-PB from June 2016 to April 2023 at The first affiliated hospital of Soochow University(Suzhou,china).Clinical data and outcomes,including total costs,complications,and quality-adjusted life years(QALYs),were *** sensitivity and subgroup analyses were also ***-LA was found to be the most cost-effective option,outperforming both TIVA and ***,subgroup analyses revealed that in younger patients(under 65 years old)and those with smaller prostate volumes(generally be the most cost-effective and safer anesthesia method for TP-MUF-PB,personalization of anesthesia strategies is crucial,considering specific patient demographics such as age and prostate volume.

Prevalence of hypertension in a hemodialysis population

Objective To know the accurate information on prevalence and status of blood pressure (BP) control in hemodialysis patients. Methods The pre/post mid week dialysis BP readings of 114 patients (74 males, 40 females. the average age 49.2±11.6 years) were evaluated. Hypertension was defined as BP>150/90mm Hg. Hypertension was further characterized according to whether the patients had normal or elevated pre dialysis systolic, pre dialysis diastolic, post dialysis systolic or post dialysis diastolic BP reading on 6 sequential dialysis recordings. And the systolic and diastolic pressure was separately graded from 0 to3 and a number designed as hypertension sensitivity index (HSI) was assigned to each patient. Results Of the 114 patients,97(85.1%)were hypertenisve,87(76.3%) had persistent elevation of BP despite being on one or more antihypertensive *** mean HSI for this population was 3.7±*** patients(81.9%) were on calcium channel blockers,29.1% being on Angiotension converting enzyme inhibitors(ACEI) and 29.2% on α *** was correlation between pre dialysis systolic,pre dialysis diastolic BP and the post dialysis body weight change rate with dry *** Hypertension was a frequent finding in our hemodialysis *** of this hypertension was pre dialysis *** was significant correlation between pre dialysis BP and post dialysis body weight change rate with dry weight.
