This review shows that relatively simple changes to diet and lifestyle can significantly,and rapidly,reduce the risks associated with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)in terms of infection risk,severity of disease,and even disease-related mortality.A wide range of interventions including regular exercise,adequate sleep,plant-based diets,maintenance of healthy weight,dietary supplementation,and time in nature have each been shown to have beneficial effects for supporting more positive health outcomes with COVID-19,in addition to promoting better overall *** paper brings together literature from these areas and presents the argument that non-pharmaceutical approaches should not be overlooked in our response to *** is noted that,in several cases,interventions discussed result in risk reductions equivalent to,or even greater than,those associated with currently available *** the balance of evidence suggests benefits,and the risk is minimal to none,it is suggested that communicating the power of individual actions to the public becomes morally ***,many lives could be saved,and many harms from the vaccine mandates avoided,if we were willing to embrace this lifestyle-centred approach in our efforts to deal with COVID-19.

Speleothem carbonates are precipitated continuously from inorganic carbon dissolved in seepage water infiltrating from the land surface,that reflects a mixture of atmospheric CO_2,respired soil carbon,and epikarst sources,each with distinct δ^(13)C *** aid in deconvolving these signatures,soil samples were collected above the Blue Spring cave system in Sparta,Tennessee,USA and subjected to a series of incubation experiments,in order to constrain the correlation between CO_2respiration rates and soil *** relationship is used to parameterize a simple mixing model which predicts the relationship between δ^(13)C and soil moisture in fluids infiltrating into the underlying cave system.

Objective:Patients who are involuntarily committed to a psychiatric facility often experience anxiety or increased anxiety in response to being placed in the institutional *** weighted blanket introduced a proactive treatment *** purpose of this study was to evaluate patients’anxiety symptoms before and after weighted blanket,compared to a group that did not use a weighted blanket to control ***:This study was conducted in an inpatient mental health facility from June 10,2019,through November 7,2019,with psychiatric patients who were not actively *** were offered the choice of weighted or unweighted blankets for a 20-minute *** treatment group was comprised of individuals who had opted to use a 14-pound weighted blanket,20-pound weighted blanket or 5-pound weighted lap *** in the comparison group were active in a wider range of *** application of the blankets,pulse rate was measured using a pulse oximeter,and anxiety was measured using the Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory shortened form(STAI:Y-6).Both measures were taken again after the intervention.A two-way mixed analysis of variance(ANOVA)was run to examine the interaction effects between time(pre/post)and group(comparison/weighted blanket).Simple main effects were then further examined for the comparison/weighted blanket groups using a repeated measures *** the weighted blanket group,additional two-way mixed ANOVA was run to determine if gender or blanket weight made a statistically significant ***:There was a statistically significant difference(Plankets(n=61)and those who did not(n=61)based on the pre/post data for both the STAI:Y-6 inventory and the patients’pulse *** results of two-way ANOVA indicated a significant interaction effect between intervention time and group(P<0.001).Repeated measures ANOVA indicated a change between pre/post for the we
