Purpose'. To identify co-produced multi-stakeholder perspectives important for successful widespread physically active learning (PAl) adoptionand ***: A total of 35 stakeholders (policymakers ≪ = 9;commercial education sector, ≪ = 8;teachers, w = 3;researchers, w = 15) attended adesign thinking PAl workshop. Participants formed 5 multi-disciplinary groups with at least 1 representative from each stakeholder group. Eachgroup, facilitated by a researcher, undertook 2 tasks: (1) using Post-it Notes, the following question was answered: within the school day, whatare the opportunities for learning combined with movement? and (2) structured as a washing-line task, the following question was answered:how can we establish PAl as the norm? All discussions were audio-recorded and transcribed. Inductive analyses were conducted by 4 *** the analyses were complete, the main themes and subthemes were assigned to 4 predetermined categories: (1) PAl design and implementation,(2) priorities for practice, (3) priorities for policy, and (4) priorities for ***'. The following were the main themes for PAl implementation: opportunities for PAl within the school day, delivery environments,learning approaches, and the intensity of PAl. The main themes for the priorities for practice included teacher confidence and competence,resources to support delivery, and community of practice. The main themes for the policy for priorities included self-governance, the Office forStandards in Education, Children's Services, and Skill, policy investment in initial teacher training, and curriculum reform. long-term landscape changes in a subalpine spruce-fir forest in central Utah, USA

Background： In Western North America, increasing wildfire and outbreaks of native bark beetles have been mediated by warming climate conditions. Bioclimatic models forecast the loss of key high elevation species throughout the region. This study uses retrospective vegetation and fire history data to reconstruct the drivers of past disturbance and environmental change. Understanding the relationship among climate, antecedent disturbances, and the legacy effects of settlement-era logging can help identify the patterns and processes that create landscapes susceptible to bark beetle epidemics. Methods： Our analysis uses data from lake sediment cores, stand inventories, and historical records. Sediment cores were dated with radiometric techniques （14C and 210pb/137Cs） and subsampled for pollen and charcoal to maximize the temporal resolution during the historical period （1800 CE to present） and to provide environmental baseline data （last 10,500 years）. Pollen data for spruce were calibrated to carbon biomass （C t/ha） using standard allometric equations and a transfer function. Charcoal samples were analyzed with statistical models to facilitate peak detection and determine fire recurrence intervals. Results： The Wasatch Plateau has been dominated by Engelmann spruce forests for the last ～10,500 years, with subalpine fir becoming more prominent since 6000 years ago. This landscape has experienced a dynamic fire regime, where burning events are more frequent and of higher magnitude during the last 3000 years. Two important disturbances have impacted Engelmann spruce in the historical period： 1） high-grade logging during the late 19th century; and （2） a high severity spruce beetle outbreak in the late 20th century that killed 〉90 % of mature spruce （〉10 cm dbh）. Conclusions： Our study shows that spruce-dominated forests in this region are resilient to a range of climate and disturbance regimes. Gene Expression Profiling of Human Epidermal Keratinocytes in Simulated Microgravity and Recovery Cultures

Simulated microgravity （SMG） bioreactors and DNA microarray technology are powerful tools to identify ＂space genes＂ that play key roles in cellular response to microgravity. We applied these biotechnology tools to investigate SMG and post-SMG recovery effects on human epidermal keratinocytes by exposing cells to SMG for 3, 4, 9, and 10 d using the high aspect ratio vessel bioreactor followed by recovery culturing for 15, 50, and 60 d in normal gravity. As a result, we identified 162 differentially expressed genes, 32 of which were ＂center genes＂ that were most consistently affected in the time course experiments. Eleven of the center genes were from the integrated stress response pathways and were coordinately downregulated. Another seven of the center genes, which are all metallothionein MT-Ⅰ and MT-Ⅱ isoforms, were coordinately up-regulated. In addition, HlA-G, a key gene in cellular immune response suppression, was found to be significantly upregulated during the recovery phase. Overall, more than 80% of the differentially expressed genes from the shorter exposures （≤4 d） recovered in 15 d; for longer （≥9 d） exposures, more than 50 d were needed to recover to the impact level of shorter exposures. The data indicated that shorter SMG exposure duration would lead to quicker and more complete recovery from the microgravity effect.

Memory loss and dementia are major public health concerns with a substantial economic *** stress has been shown to play a crucial role in the pathophysiology of hippocampal damage-induced memory *** investigate whether the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound vanillyla cetone(zingerone) can protect against hippocampal damage and memory loss induced by cadmium chloride(CdCl_(2)) administration in rats,we explo red the potential involvement of the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2) signaling pathway,which is known to modulate oxidative stress and *** healt hy male Wistar rats were divided into five groups:vehicle-treated(control),vanillylacetone,CdCl_(2),vanillylacetone+ CdCl_(2),vanillylacetone+ CdCl_(2)+ brusatol(a selective pharmacological N rf2inhibitor) *** effectively attenuated CdCl_(2)-induced damage in the dental gyrus of the hippocampus and improved the memory function assessed by the morris Water Maze ***,vanillylacetone markedly decreased the hippocampal tissue levels of inflammatory biomarkers(interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor-α,intracellular cell adhesive molecules) and apoptosis biomarkers(Bax and cleaved caspase-3).The control and CdCl_(2)-treated groups treated with va nillylacetone showed reduced generation of reactive oxygen species,decreased malondialdehyde levels,and increased superoxide dismutase and glutathione activities,along with significant elevation of nuclear Nrf2 mRNA and protein expression in hippocampal *** the protective effects of vanillylacetone we re substantially blocked by the co-administration of brusatol(a selective N rf2 inhibitor).Va nillylacetone mitigated hippocampal damage and memory loss induced by CdCl_(2),at least in part, by activating the nuclear transcription factor ***,vanillylacetone exerted its potent antioxidant and antiinflammatory actions.

Dear Editor,We have read with great interest the outstanding article authored by Amparore et al.[1].We commend the authors for their large interventional study of 222 patients observing a favorable impact on clinical outcomes after implementation of three-dimensional(3D)modeling for laparoscopic partial nephrectomy robotically assisted or not,compared to a historical group of *** authors presented convincing results and humbly acknowledge limitations of the study,notably its *** results extend growing awareness in urology that 3D modeling can enhance surgeons’case planning[2].

Neutropenia in colorectal cancer treated with oxaliplatin-based hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy: An observational cohort study
