The reaction of 3,6-di-(3-methyl-pyridin-2-yI)-s-tetrazine (DMPTZ, II) with CeIII salt [Ce(NO3)3 · 6H2O] generates a new ligand, N-(3-methyl-pyridin-2-yl)-formimidoyl-(3-methyl-pyridin-2-yl) hydrazone (L), and forms a new complex: a mononuclear complex [Ce(L)(NO3)2 (H2O)3] · NO3 (III). Crystal data for III: space group P-1. with a = 0.71.3(4) nm, b = 1.1.39(2) nm, c = 1.4572(3) nm, α= 1.2.1.(2)°, β= 99.81.3)°, γ= 91.1.(3)°, Z = 2, V = 1.1..6(7) nm3, μ = 2.1.3 mm?1.and F(000) = 630. L acts as a tri-dentate chelating ligand in III. There are 1. coordination sites around Ce3+ of III, which are respectively occupied by seven oxygen atoms (four from two nitrate anions and three from three H2O molecules) and three nitrogen atoms (all from L). The cerium atom and three chelating nitrogen atoms are coplanar. The mechanism of the metal assisted decomposition is discussed briefly.

Four new sesquiterpene lactones(SLs)(1.4),along with a biosynthetically related SL(5),have been isolated from the leaves of Magnolia *** A(1.is notable as the first C1. homogemarane type SL,featuring a unique 1.7-dioxaspiro[4.4]nonan-6-one *** 2 and 3,representing the first instances of chlorine-substituted gemarane-type SL analogs in natural products,were also *** structures of these isolates were elucidated through a combination of spectroscopic data analysis,electronic circular dichroism calculations,and X-ray single-crystal diffraction *** isolates demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW264.7 ***,3–5 showed a significant inhibitory effect on nitric oxide production,with IC50 values ranging from 0.79 to 4.73μmol·L^(−1..Additionally,4 and 5 exhibited moderate cytotoxic activities against three cancer cell lines,with IC50 values between 3.09 and 1..23μmol·L^(−1..

Three novel matrine-type alkaloids(1.3)and two unprecedented aloperine-type alkaloids(4 and 5)were isolated from the root of Sophora tonkinensis and the seeds of Sophora alopecuroides ***,compound 1.possessed an unprecedented 6/5/6 tricyclic skeleton,while compounds 2 and 3 characterized by rare 6/6/5/6 tetracyclic system and 6/6/6/6/6 pentacyclic system ***,compound 4 possessed an unprecedented 6/7/6/6 tetracyclic core,and compound 5 characterized by rare 6/6/6/6tetracyclic *** structures were elucidated by comprehensive spectroscopic data analysis and electronic circular dichroism(ECD)*** tests indicated that compound 5 displayed significant anti-tobacco mosaic virus(TMV)activity compared with the positive control ningnanmycin.

Glioblastoma(GBM)is a malignant brain tumor that grows quickly,spreads widely,and is resistant to *** growth factor receptor(FGFR)1.is a receptor tyrosine kinase that regulates cellular processes,including proliferation,survival,migration,and ***1.was predominantly expressed in GBM tissues,and FGFR1.expression was negatively correlated with overall *** rationally designed a novel small molecule CYY292,which exhibited a strong affinity for the FGFR1.protein in GBM cell lines in ***292 also exerted an effect on the conserved Ser777 residue of ***292 dose-depen-dently inhibited cell proliferation,epithelial-mesenchymal transition,stemness,invasion,and migration in vitro by specifically targeting the FGFR1.AKT/Snail pathways in GBM cells,and this effect was prevented by pharmacological inhibitors and critical gene *** vivo experiments revealed that CYY292 inhibited U87MG tumor growth more effectively than ***292 also efficiently reduced GBM cell proliferation and increased survival in orthotopic GBM *** study further elucidates the function of FGFR1.in the GBM and reveals the effect of CYY292,which targets FGFR1.on downstream signaling pathways directly reducing GBM cell growth,invasion,and metastasis and thus impairing the recruitment,activation,and function of immune cells.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)is a fatal neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive degeneration of motor neurons,and it demonstrates high clinical heterogeneity and complex genetic architecture.A variation within TRMT2B(c.1.56G>T;p.K452N)was identified to be associated with ALS in a family comprising two patients with juvenile ALS(JALS).Two missense variations and one splicing variation were identified in 1. patients with ALS in a cohort with 91. patients with ALS,and three more variants were identified in a public ALS database including 331. patients with ALS.A decreased number of mitochondria,swollen mitochondria,lower expression of ND1.decreased mitochondrial complex I activities,lower mitochondrial aerobic respiration,and a high level of ROS were observed functionally in patient-originated lymphoblastoid cell lines and TRMT2B interfering HEK293 ***,TRMT2B variations overexpression cells also displayed decreased *** conclusion,a novel JALS-associated gene called TRMT2B was identified,thus broadening the clinical and genetic spectrum of ALS.

Dear Editor,Although effective vaccines and antiviral therapies are available,hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection is still a serious global health *** HBV infection remains the principal cause of liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).HBV is a small DNA virus,owning a~3.2 kb genome that encodes several proteins:viral DNA polymerase,core antigen(HBcAg),E antigen(HBeAg),three surface antigens(PreS1.PreS2/HBsAg),and a regulatory X protein(HBx)(Lamontagne et al.,201.).X protein,named for its lack of homology with any known proteins,is a 1.4 aa protein that plays an essential role in HBV biology and regulates the development of HCC(Yang et al.,2022).Although previous studies have strongly expanded our understanding of HBx,the regulation of HBx is not completely elucidated.
