Optimization of a High Speed Spinning Disk.Spindle System for Minimum RRO,NRRO,and Lightweight by Using G.A.

Law level of RRO(Repeatable Run Out),NRRO(Non Repe at able Run Out),and lightweight construction are a maj.r trend in the high-speed HDD(Hard Disk.Drive)sytem to reduce track.misregestration and to achieve high track.density,which lead to succeed in the ***,it is not easy to r educe RRO,NRRO,and the weight of the spinning disk.spindle system efficiently because lightweight construction and or bearing stiffness changes often yields a decrease in the static and dynamic stiffness of the system,and consequently hi gh vibrations may be generated as a ***,it is of importance to e valuate in advance the accurate dynamic behavior of the high speed spinning disk.spindle system of a HDD *** study introduces an optimum design of the high speed spinning disk.spindle system of a HDD for minimum RRO,NRRO,and lightweight construction using a gene tic *** spinning disk.hub,and bearing components of a HDD system ar e modelled as appropriate finite elements respectively and their equations of mo tion are derived to construct the system equations of the whole spinning disk.sp indle system of the HDD *** RRO and NRRO responses of the spinning disk.due to exciting forces arised from ball bearing faults and rotating unbalance,are *** the design optimation,the hub thick.ess,the disk.thick.ess,bearing positio ns(or bearing span)and bearing stiffness were set as design *** uni que obj.ctive function is obtained by multiplying an appropriate weighting facto r by multi-obj.ctive functions,such as RRO,NRRO,and the total weight of HDD the *** constraints are maximum RRO limit,maximum weight linit,and the critical speed limit of the HDD spindle *** show that the RRO,NRRO,and weight are reduced by 6%,66.7%and 28%r espectively compared with the initial design of the HDD ***,thi s present study can be used for an optimum design of the spinning disk.spindle s ystem of a HDD for lightweight construction

In this study,we propose a method for estimating the amount of expansion that occurs in subsea pipelines,which could be applied in the design of robust structures that transport oil and gas from offshore *** begin with a literature review and general discussion of existing estimation methods and terminologies with respect to subsea *** to the effects of high pressure and high temperature,the production of fluid from offshore wells is typically caused by physical deformation of subsea structures,e.g.,expansion and contraction during the transportation *** severe cases,vertical and lateral buck.ing occurs,which causes a significant negative impact on structural safety,and which is related to on-bottom stability,free-span,structural collapse,and many other *** addition,these factors may affect the production rate with respect to flow assurance,wax,and hydration,to name a *** this study,we developed a simple and efficient method for generating a reliable pipe expansion design in the early stage,which can lead to savings in both cost and computation *** such,in this paper,we propose an applicable diagram,which we call the standard dimensionless ratio(SDR)versus virtual anchor length(LA)diagram,that utilizes an efficient procedure for estimating subsea pipeline expansion based on applied reliable *** this user guideline,offshore pipeline structural designers can reliably determine the amount of subsea pipeline expansion and the obtained results will also be useful for the installation,design,and maintenance of the subsea pipeline.

Western integrative oncology （IO） combines conventional mainstream medicine with complementary and alternative medicine （CAM） for the care of cancer patients. Since it includes patient orientation and the holistic approach of many CAM options, IO offers not only preventive measures, but also a wide spectrum of treatment modalities for all stages of illness, from the acute phases through the rehabilitation period. Many therapeutic methods of IO are supported by scientific evidence, for example, dietary and nutritional counseling, exercise, and mind-body medicine, among others. IO also includes therapeutic interventions of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM）. At present acupuncture, qigong, and foot massage play an important role in the Western care of cancer patients. However, unlik. in China, in Western countries herbal remedies are usually only used during those periods in which chemotherapy is not applied in order to avoid herb-drug interactions. Instead,acupuncture is widely used to manage the side-effects that often accompany chemotherapy. This paper focuses on the role of Chinese medicine in Western IO and reviews the scope and limitations of IO in the care of cancer patients today. The future challenges of IO will also be discussed in this paper.

Plasma density measurement and downstream etching of silicon and silicon oxide in Ar/NF3 mixture remote plasma source

In this study,plasma density measurements were performed near the plume region of the remote plasma source (RPS) in Ar/NF3 gas mixtures using a microwave cutoff *** measured plasma density is in the range of 1010-1011 cm-3 in the discharge conditions with RPS powers of 2-4 k. and gas pressures of 0.87-4 *** plasma density decreased with increasing gas pressures and RPS powers under various Ar/NF3 mixing *** decrease in the plasma density measured at the fixed measurement position (plume region) can be understood by the reduction of the electron energy relaxation length with increases in the gas pressures and mixing ratio of NF3/(Ar/NF3).We also performed downstream etching of silicon and silicon oxide films in this *** etch rate of the silicon films significantly increases while the silicon oxide is slightly etched with the gas pressures and *** was also found that the etch rate strongly depends on the wafer position on the processing chamber electrode,and that the etch selectivity reached 96-131 in the discharge conditions of RF powers (3730-4180 W) and gas pressures (3.6-4 Torr).

The mixed spinel ferrite system Mg0.95Mn0.05Fe2-2xTi2xO4(0≤x≤0.7) was synthesized by the conventional solid-state reaction *** effect of Ti4+ doping was studied by using the Mssbauer spectroscopy measurements at room *** the analysis of the Mssbauer spectra,it is observed that s-electron density,electric field gradient(EFG),quadrupole coupling constant(QCC) and the net hyperfine magnetic fields acting on the M-ssbauer nuclei-FeA3+ and FeB3+ change with the increase of Ti4+ doping in *** hyperfine magnetic field decreases with the increase of Ti4+ doping.

As there is substantial progress in the k.TAR tok.mak.engineering, all themaj.r structures and sub-systems are under fabrication and in procurement phase. The vacuum vessel,port, cryostat cylinder, lid, and bellows are being rigorously fabricated in the factory. The lowerpart of the k.TAR such as cryostat base and gravity support has been almost finished in itsfabrication. There are also great progresses and significant results in manufacturing of thesuperconducting magnet, including four Toroidal Field (TF) coils, lower and upper PF7 coils whichare the largest Poloidal Field (PF) coils. The TFOO coil, which has been made for test and back.upof the TF magnet system, was successfully tested in the cool-down and current charging. As thefabrications and procurements of maj.r structures have been actively proceeded, assembly work. werealso launched from Aug. 2003. More detailed description on these status, results, and plans will bedescribed in this paper.

Features of extrahepatic metastasis after radiofrequency ablation for hepatocellular carcinoma

BACk.ROUND Extrahepatic metastasis(EHM)of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is associated with poor ***,the clinical features and risk.factors of EHM of HCC after radiofrequency ablation(RFA)remain *** To elucidate the characteristics and risk.factors of EHM after RFA for *** From j.nuary 2008 to December 2017,we retrospectively enrolled 661 patients who underwent RFA as first-line treatment for HCC at 2 tertiary *** inclusion criteria were age≥18 years,a diagnosis of HCC,and *** computed tomography(CT)or magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and alpha-fetoprotein measurements were routinely performed at 1 mo after RFA and followed-up at intervals of 3-6 *** analyses were performed using the chi-squared test or Student’s t-test,and univariate and multivariate analyses were performed via logistic regression,as *** EHM was diagnosed in 44 patients(6.7%)during a median follow-up period of 1204 *** 10-year cumulative rate of HCC recurrence and EHM was 92.7%and 33.7%,*** recurrence was most often intrahepatic,and the rate of extrahepatic recurrence at initial recurrence was only 1.2%.The median time to the diagnosis of EHM was 2.68 years,and 68.2%of patients developed EHM within 2 years of the first recurrence,regardless of recurrence-free survival and 75.0%of patients developed EHM within 5 years after first *** was mostly diagnosed via abdominal CT/MRI in 33(75.0%)and 38 of 44 patients(86.4%)with EHM had either positive abdominal CT scan results or serum AFP level *** multivariate analysis,recurrence-free survival400 IU/mL were associated with a high EHM *** EHM occurs following multiple intrahepatic recurrences after RFA and combined contrast-enhanced abdominal CT and serum AFP were useful for *** especially with high-risk.factors require close follow-up for

Neuromodulation represents a cutting edge class of both invasive and non-invasive therapeutic methods which alter the activity of ***,several different techniques have been developed-or are currently being investigated–to treat a wide variety of neurological and neuropsychiatric ***,in vivo and in vitro studies have revealed that neuromodulation can also induce myelination,meaning that it could hold potential as a therapy for various demyelinating diseases including multiple sclerosis and progressive multifocal *** findings come on the heels of a paradigm shift in the view of myelin's role within the nervous system from a static structure to an active co-regulator of central nervous system plasticity and participant in neuron-mediated *** the present review,we highlight several of the recent findings regarding the role of neural activity in altering myelination including several soluble and contact-dependent factors that seem to mediate neural activitydependent *** also highlight several considerations for neuromodulatory techniques,including the need for further research into spatiotemporal precision,dosage,and the safety and efficacy of transcranial focused ultrasound stimulation,an emerging neuromodulation *** the field of neuromodulation continues to evolve,it could potentially bring forth methods for the treatment of demyelinating diseases,and as such,further investigation into the mechanisms of neuron-dependent myelination as well as neuro-imaging modalities that can monitor myelination activity is warranted.
