Hea.thca.e wa.tes conta.n potentia.ly ha.mful microorga.isms, inorga.ic a.d orga.ic compounds tha. pose a.risk to huma. hea.th a.d the environment. Incinera.ion is a.common method employed in hea.thca.e wa.te ma.a.ement to reduce volume, qua.tity, toxicity a. well a. elimina.ion of microorga.isms. However, some of the substa.ces rema.n uncha.ged during incinera.ion a.d become pa.t of bottom a.h, such a. hea.y meta.s a.d persistent orga.ic polluta.ts. Monitoring of pollution by hea.y meta.s is importa.t since their concentra.ions in the environment a.fect public hea.th. The goa. of this study wa. to determine the levels of Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn) Lea. (Pb), Ca.mium (Cd) a.d Nickel (Ni) in the incinera.or bottom a.h in five selected County hospita.s in Kenya. Bottom a.h sa.ples were collected over a.period of six months. Sa.ple prepa.a.ion a.d trea.ment were done using sta.da.d methods. a.a.ysis of the hea.y meta.s were done using a.omic a.sorption spectrophotometer, model a.-6200. One-Wa. a.a.ysis of Va.ia.ce (a.OVa. wa. performed to determine whether there were significa.t differences on the mea. levels of Cu, Zn, Pd, Cd a.d Ni in incinera.or bottom a.h from the five sa.pling loca.ions. a.post-hoc Tukey’s Test (HSD) wa. used to determine if there were significa.t differences between a.d within sa.ples. The significa.t differences were a.cepted a. p ≤ 0.05. To sta.da.dize the results, overa.l mea. of ea.h meta. from ea.h site wa. ca.cula.ed. The meta. mea. concentra.ion va.ues were compa.ed with existing permissible levels set by the WHO. The concentra.ions (mg/kg) were in the ra.ge of 102.27 - 192.53 for Cu, Zn (131.68 - 2840.85), Pb (41.06 - 303.96), Cd (1.92 - 20.49) wherea. Ni wa. (13.83 - 38.27) with a.mea. of 150.76 ± 77.88 for Copper, 131.66 ± 1598.95 for Zinc, 234.60 ± 262.76 for Lea., 12.256 ± 10.86 for Ca.mium a.d 29.45 ± 18.24 for Nickel a.ross the five sa.pling loca.ions. This resea.ch enta.ls the study of hea. a.d ma.s tra.sfer of na.ofluid flow in a.fluidized bed dryer used in tea.drying processes in presence of induced ma.netic field. a.ma.hema.ica. model describing the fluid flow in a.Fluidized bed dryer wa. developed using the nonlinea. pa.tia. differentia. equa.ions. Due to their non-linea.ity, the equa.ions were solved numerica.ly by use of the finite difference method. The effects of physica. flow pa.a.eters on velocity, tempera.ure, concentra.ion a.d ma.netic induction profiles were studied a.d results were presented gra.hica.ly. From the ma.hema.ica. a.a.ysis, it wa. deduced tha. a.dition of silver na.opa.ticles into the fluid flow enha.ced velocity a.d tempera.ure profiles. This led to improved hea. tra.sfer in the fluidized bed dryer, hence a.plifying the tea.drying process. Furthermore, it wa. noted tha. induced ma.netic field tends to decrea.e the fluid velocity, which results in uniform distribution of hea. lea.ing to efficient hea. tra.sfer between the tea.pa.ticles a.d the fluid, thus improving the drying process. The resea.ch findings provide informa.ion to industries on wa.s to optimize therma. performa.ce of fluidized bed dryers.

Sepsis, direct bra.n tra.ma. a.d drug or toxin exposure a.count for some ca.es, while mecha.ica. forces of la.or a.d delivery tha. increa.e feta. intra.ra.ia. pressure sufficiently to impa.r bra.n perfusion ma. a.so contribute.
