coalification temperatures are often considered to be approximately 100-170 ℃ for bituminous coal and 170-275 ℃ for anthracite. However, our micropetrographic observations, solid state ^27Al magic-angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance measurements, interpretation of δ^13c values for whewellite in pelosiderite concretions from carboniferous sediments, and assessment of whewellite thermal stability show that coalification temperatures can be significantly lower. Also the temperatures of coal alteration may be substantially lower than is stated. Ordinarily, high- temperature alteration is reported, but microthermometric measurements of fluids temperatures and micropetrographic observations show that the coal alteration can take place at low temperatures. For this reason, coals from the Kladno- Rakovnik Basin, part of Late Paleozoic continental basins of the czech Republic, were analyzed. Regarding coalification, micropetrographic characterizations of unaltered coals, the presence of thermally unstable Al complexes in the coal organic mass documented using ^27Al MAS NMR method, and proven occurrence of whewellite in pelosiderite concretions suggest a lower coalification temperature, max. -70 ℃. Regarding coal alteration, micropetrographic observations revealed （a） the weaker intensity of fluorescence of liptinite, （b） mylonitic structures and microbreccia with carbonate fluid penetration, and （c） high oxygen content in coals （37-38 wt.%）. These phenomena are typical for thermal and oxidative alteration of coal. As the temperature of carbonate fluids inferred from fluid inclusion analysis was evaluated as -100-113 ℃, the temperature of coal alteration was suggested as -113℃; the alteration was caused by hot hydrothermal fluids.

In this study,the energy-efficient advanced procedure for the production of oil from plum seeds was *** optimization of ultrasound-assisted extraction(UAE)of oil was carried out using the response surface methodology with the Box-Behnken *** microwave pretreatment(MWP)of 460 W for 3 min was also applied to reduce the total extraction *** extraction time(15-45 min),liquid-to-solid ratio(4-10 mL g􀀀1),and extraction temperature(40-60◦c)were defined as the *** oil yield was considered a response in this optimization *** ultrasonic bath of 150 W and 40 kHz was used for the production of cavitation energy during the *** optimal conditions were the extraction time of 42 min,the liquid-to-solid ratio of 10 mL g􀀀1,and the extraction temperature of 50◦*** on quality analysis,it was concluded that the oil obtained by MWP-UAE had adequate physico-chemical *** MWP-UAE was an efficient extraction technique in terms of extraction time and energy consumption.

Modern machine-learning applications require huge artificial networks demanding computational power and ***-based platforms promise ultrafast and energy-efficient hardware,which may help realize nextgeneration data processing ***,current photonic networks are limited by the number of inputoutput nodes that can be processed in a single *** restricted network capacity prevents their application to relevant large-scale problems such as natural language ***,we realize a photonic processor for supervised learning with a capacity exceeding 1.5×10^(10)optical nodes,more than one order of magnitude larger than any previous implementation,which enables photonic large-scale text encoding and *** exploiting the full three-dimensional structure of the optical field propagating in free space,we overcome the interpolation threshold and reach the over-parameterized region of machine learning,a condition that allows high-performance sentiment analysis with a minimal fraction of training *** results provide a novel solution to scale up light-driven computing and open the route to photonic natural language processing.

congenital bilateral absence of vas deferens （cBAVD） is a manifestation of the mildest form of cystic fibrosis （cF） and is characterized by obstructive azoospermia in otherwise healthy patients. Owing to the availability of assisted reproductive technology, cBAVD patients can father children. These fathers are at risk of transmitting a mutated allele of the cF transmembrane conductance regulator （cFTR） gene, responsible for cF, to their offspring. The identification of mutations in both cFTR alleles in cBAVD patients is a crucial requirement for calculating the risk of producing a child with full-blown cF if the female partner is a healthy cF carrier. However, in the majority of cBAVD patients, conventional mutation screening is not able to detect mutations in both cFTR alleles, and this difficulty hampers the execution of correct genetic counselling. To obtain information about the most represented cFTR mutations in cBAVD patients, we analysed 23 cBAVD patients, 15 of whom had a single cFTR mutation after screening for 36 mutations and the 5T allele. The search for the second cFTR mutation in these cases was performed by using a triplex approach：（i） first, a reverse dot-blot analysis was performed to detect mutations with regional impact; （ii） next, multiple ligation-dependent probe amplification assays were conducted to search for large rearrangements; and （iii） finally, denaturing high-performance liquid chromatography was used to search for point mutations in the entire coding region. Using these approaches, the second cFTR mutation was detected in six patients, which increased the final detection rate to 60.8%.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is a complex clinical entity which can be secondary to many other diseases including hypothyroidism,characterized by lowering of thyroid hormones and increased thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH).A lot of emerging data published recently advocates the hypothesis that hypothyroid induced NAFLD could be a separate clinical entity,even suggesting possible treatment options for NAFLD involving substitution therapy for hypothyroidism along with lifestyle *** addition,a whole new field of research is focused on thyromimetics in NAFLD/NASH treatment,currently in phase 3 clinical *** this critical review we summarized epidemiological and pathophysiological evidence linking these two clinical entities and described specific treatment options with the accent on promising new agents in NAFLD treatment,specifically thyroid hormone receptor(THR)agonist and its metabolites.

Perturbations caused by windstorms usually lead to the harvesting and clearcutting of fallen trees and wood debris,especially in the areas of managed forest *** shifts in soils due to management practices play a crucial role in the restoration and maintaining of key ecosystem *** paper focuses on topsoil chemical properties in relation to vegetation type(trees,shrubs and herbs)evolving at windstorm damaged(in 2004)areas with former Norway spruce(Picea abies)forests in the Tatra ***(Slovakia).We assessed the content of topsoil organic matter fractions(extractives,holocellulose(Hc)and lignin(Lig)),carbon in microbial biomass(cmic),soil organic matter(SOM)and the content of elements N,c,H and *** study plots represent different types of post-windthrow disturbance history/regime:wooden debris extraction(EXT),wooden debris not extracted(NEX),wooden debris extraction followed by wildfire(FIR),affected by the windstorm in 2014 with the subsequent wooden debris extraction(REX)and unaffected(REF).Our results revealed significant differences among sites in the content of dichloromethane extractives(EXT *** and FIR),acetone extractives(NEX ***,FIR and REF),ethanol extractives(FIR ***,NEX and REF),water extractives(FIR ***,NEX)and cmic(EXT ***,FIR and REF).The topsoil of Vaccinium myrtillus and Picea abies showed a higher ratio of c/N,N/Lig,and Lig/Hc compared to Rubus idaeus,Avenella flexuosa,calamagrostis villosa,and Larix *** content of N,c,H and S varied between topsoil with shrubs(Vaccinium myrtillus,Rubus idaeus)and grasses(Avenella flexuosa,calamagrostis villosa).A positive correlation between soil organic matter(SOM)and polar extractives(r=0.81)and a negative correlation between SOM and Hc(r=-0.83)was *** carbon content in microbial biomass(cmic)is positively correlated with acid soluble lignin(ASL)(r=0.85).We also identified a strong correlation between Klason lignin(KL)and the Lig/Hc ratio(r=0.97).

changes in gut microbiota influence both the gut and liver,which are strictly connected by the so-called“gut-liver axis”.The gut microbiota acts as a major determinant of this relationship in the onset and clinical course of liver *** to the results of several studies,gut dysbiosis is linked to viral hepatitis,mainly hepatitis c virus and hepatitis B virus *** bacteriaderived metabolites and cellular components are key molecules that affect liver function and modulate the pathology of viral *** studies showed that the gut microbiota produces various molecules,such as peptidoglycans,lipopolysaccharides,DNA,lipoteichoic acid,indole-derivatives,bile acids,and trimethylamine,which are translocated to the liver and interact with liver immune cells causing pathological ***,the existence of crosstalk between the gut microbiota and the liver and its implications on host health and pathologic status are essential factors impacting the etiology and therapeutic *** mechanisms behind the pathogenic role of gut-derived components on the pathogenesis of viral hepatitis remain unclear and not *** this review,we discuss the current findings of research on the bidirectional relationship of the components of gut microbiota and the progression of liver diseases and viral hepatitis and vice ***,this paper highlights the current therapeutic and preventive strategies,such as fecal transplantation,used to restore the gut microbiota composition and so improve host health.
