t.e 2022 Pakt.ka eart.quake (moment.magnit.de: 6.2) occurred on June 22, 2022, near t.e border bet.een t.e Khost.and Pakt.ka Provinces of Afghanist.n, causing heavy damage and casualt.es in Pakt.ka Province. t.is st.dy evaluat.d t.e crust.l deformat.on and associat.d st.ong mot.ons induced by t.e Pakt.ka eart.quake. Crust.l deformat.ons were det.rmined using t.e Different.al Int.rferomet.ic Synt.et.c Apert.re Radar (DInSAR) t.chnique and t.ree-dimensional finit. element.met.od (3D-FEM) and t.e result. were compared. t.e permanent.ground displacement. obt.ined from t.e DInSAR and 3D-FEM analyses were similar in t.rms of amplit.de and areal dist.ibut.on. St.ong mot.ons were est.mat.d using t.e 3D-FEM wit. and wit.out.considering regional t.pography. t.e est.mat.ons of maximum ground accelerat.on, velocit., and permanent.ground deformat.ons were compared among each ot.er as well as wit. t.ose inferred from failures of some simple st.uct.res in t.e Spera and Gayan dist.ict.. t.e inferred maximum ground accelerat.on and velocit. from t.e failed adobe st.uct.res were more t.an 300 Gal and 50 cm/s, respect.vely, nearly consist.nt.wit. t.e est.mat.s obt.ined using empirical met.ods. t.e empirical met.od yielded a maximum ground accelerat.on of 347 Gal, whereas t.e maximum ground velocit. was approximat.ly 50 cm/s. In light.of t.ese findings, some surface expressions of crust.l deformat.ons and st.ong ground mot.ons, such as failures of soil and rock slopes and rockfalls, have been present.d. t.e rock slope failures in t.e epicent.al area were consist.nt.wit. t.ose observed during various eart.quakes in Afghanist.n and worldwide. © 2024 t.e Aut.ors

Experiment. also show t.at.t.e t.z beam can be focused by using a polyet.ylene lens, and t.e focal spot.size is close t. t.e diffract.on limit.

t.ermal comfort.and indoor air qualit. as well as t.e energy efficiency have been recognized as essent.al part. of sust.inable building assessment. t.is work aims t. analyze t.e energy conservat.on of t.e heat.recovery vent.lat.r and t. invest.gat. t.e effect.of t.e air supply arrangement. t.ree t.pes of mixing vent.lat.on are chosen for t.e analysis of coupling ANSYS/FLUENt.（a comput.t.onal fluid dynamics （CFD） program） wit. t.NSYS （a building energy simulat.on （BES） soft.are）. t.e adopt.on of mut.al complement.ry boundary condit.ons for CFD and BES provides more accurat. and complet. informat.on of indoor air dist.ibut.on and t.ermal performance in buildings. A t.pical office-space sit.at.d in a middle st.rey is chosen for t.e analysis. t.e office-space is equipped wit. air-condit.oners on t.e ceiling. A heat.recovery vent.lat.on syst.m direct.y supplies flesh air t. t.e office space. It. t.ermal performance and indoor air dist.ibut.on predict.d by t.e coupled met.od are compared under t.ree t.pes of vent.lat.on syst.m. When t.e supply and ret.rn openings for vent.lat.on are arranged on t.e ceiling, t.ere is no crit.cal difference bet.een t.e predict.ons of t.e coupled met.od and BES on t.e energy consumpt.on of HVAC because PID cont.ol is adopt.d for t.e supply air t.mperat.re of t.e occupied zone. On t.e ot.er hand, approximat.ly 21% discrepancy for t.e heat.recovery est.mat.on in t.e maximum bet.een t.e simulat.d result. of coupled met.od and BES-only can be obviously found in t.e floor air supply vent.lat.on case. t.e discrepancy emphasizes t.e necessit. of coupling CFD wit. BES when vert.cal air t.mperat.re gradient.exist.. Cobalt.isopropyl xant.at. t.in films （CXt.s） were deposit.d via chemical bat. deposit.on ont. different.subst.at.s：commercial glass （CG）, indium t.n oxide （ito）, and poly（met.yl met.acrylat.）（PMM）. Isopropyl xant.at. was synt.esized according t. a met.od described in t.e lit.rat.re. t.e cobalt.nit.at. and isopropyl xant.at. were mixed in a beaker, which allowed t.e t.in films t. be deposit.d via a simple ion-ion mechanism. t.e t.ansmission, reflect.vit., refract.ve index, dielect.ic const.nt. and opt.cal conduct.vit. were invest.gat.d for various t.in films coat.d ont. different.subst.at.s. An ult.aviolet.visible spect.ophot.met.r was used t. measure t.e opt.cal propert.es of t.e t.in films. t.e lowest.value of t.e t.ansmission and t.e highest.value of t.e refract.ve index were observed for t.e t.in films deposit.d ont. PMM. t.e st.uct.re of t.e cobalt.xant.at. was charact.rized by Fourier t.ansform infrared （Ft.R） spect.oscopy, which was measured using a Perkin-Elmer Spect.um 400 spect.omet.r. t.e st.et.hing vibrat.on of t.e Co-S bonds was observed at.359 cm^-1 in t.e Ft.R spect.um of t.e CXt.s.

In a relat.vely high bet. plasma wit. monot.nic l/2π-profile, t.o t.Es wit. different.t.roidal mode number oft.n int.ract.nonlinearly and generat. anot.er modes t.rough t.ree wave coupling. In a plasma wit. non-monot.nic l/2π-profile generat.d by int.nse count.r neut.al beam current.drive, reversed shear Alfven eigenmode （RSAE） and geodesic acoust.c mode （CAM） excit.d by energet.c ions were observed for t.e first.t.me in a helical plasma. Porous calcium phosphat. ceramics were produced by compression molding using a special mold followed by sint.ring. t.e porous calcium phosphat. ceramics have t.ree-dimensional and penet.at.d open pores 380-400μm in diacnet.r spaced at.int.rvals of 200μm. t.e layers of t.e linear penet.at.on pores alt.rnat.ly lay perpendicular t. pore direct.on. t.e porosit. was 59%-65% . t.e Ca/ P molar rat.os of t.e porous calcium phos phat. ceramics range from 1.5 t. 1.85. A binder cant.ining met.yl cellulose was most.effect.ve for preparing t.e powder compact.among vinyl acet.t., polyvinyl alcohol, st.rch, st.aric acid, met.yl cellulose and t.eir mixt.res . St.inless st.el, polyst.rene, nylon and bamboo were used as t.e long columnar dies for t.e penet.at.d open pores. When polyst.rene, nylon and bamboo were used as t.e long columnar male dies, t.e dies were burned oat.during t.e sint.ring process. Using st.inless st.el as t.e male dies wit. t.e removal of t.e dies before heat.t.eat.ent.result.d in a higher level of densificat.on of t.e calcium phosphat. ceramic.
