Electric vehicles(EVs)are becoming more popular worldwide due to environmental concerns,fuel security,and price *** performance of EVs relies on the energy stored in their batteries,which can be charged using either AC(slow)or DC(fast)***,EVs can also be used as mobile power storage devices using vehicle-to-grid(V2G)*** electronic converters(PECs)have a constructive role in EV applications,both in charging EVs and in ***,this paper comprehensively investigates the state of the art of EV charging topologies and PEC solutions for EV *** examines PECs from the point of view of their classifications,configurations,control approaches,and future research prospects and their impacts on power *** can be classified into various topologies:DC-DC converters,AC-DC converters,DC-AC converters,and AC-AC *** address the limitations of traditional DC-DC converters such as switching losses,size,and high-electromagnetic interference(EMI),resonant converters and multiport converters are being used in high-voltage EV ***,power-train converters have been modified for high-efficiency and reliability in EV *** paper offers an overview of charging topologies,PECs,challenges with solutions,and future trends in the field of the EV charging station applications.

Due to several factors, wind energy becomes an essential type of electricity generation. The share of this type of energy in the network is becoming increasingly important. The objective of this work is to present the modeling and control strategy of a grid connected wind power generation scheme using a doubly fed induction generator （DFIG） driven by the rotor. This paper is to present the complete modeling and simulation of a wind turbine driven DFIG in the second mode of operating （the wind turbine pitch control is deactivated）. It will introduce the vector control, which makes it possible to control independently the active and reactive power exchanged between the stator of the generator and the grid, based on vector control concept （with stator flux or voltage orientation） with classical PI controllers. Various simula- tion tests are conducted to observe the system behavior and evaluate the performance of the control for some optimization criteria （energy efficiency and the robustness of the control）. It is also interesting to play on the quality of electric power by controlling the reactive power exchanged with the grid, which will facilitate making a local correction of power factor.

Cerebellopontine angle (CPA) medulloblastomas (MB) are rare lesions with few cases previously described in the literature. We report one more case of CPA MB. The patient was a (36)-year-old female with a mass developing in the CPA. The preoperative radiological diagnosis was (hemangioblastoma) in the case. The patient was operated in Tripoli university hospital September 2020 neurosurgical department. Operated through a (retrosigmoid) approach. The intraoperative findings revealed an extra-axial tumor and the histological diagnosis was classic type of MB in the case. We review the literature and discuss pathological, radiological features and clinical follow up of CPA MB, underlining the necessity to consider MB in the differential diagnosis of CPA lesions.

Characterization of phosphorus interaction with sediments affected by acid mine drainage-relation with the sediment composition

Phosphorus sorption capacity was investigated in surface sediments derived from an abandoned zinclead mine area located in northeastern Algeria. The forms and the distribution of phosphorus in the raw sediment were identified using the sequential chemical extractions method. Batch experiments were done to study the adsorption kinetics and isotherms. The pH effect was evaluated by macroscopic and infrared analyses. In raw sediment, speciation results show that phosphorus is dominantly bound to oxyhydroxides. Sorption experiments demonstrate that phosphorus uptake is principally related to sediment composition. The nature of the dominant iron oxyhydroxide has a substantial role in the adsorption capacity and the mechanism interaction. The adsorption kinetics can be described by the second order and Elovich models. The isotherms data are successfully modeled by the Temkin *** maximum phosphorus removal is reached under acidic pH. Spectroscopic analyses reveal that the predominance of jarosite implies electrostatic interaction with sediment particles. However, in the case of schwertmannite predominance, phosphate ions are adsorbed by the ligand exchange mechanism.

Polyester(PET) was pre-activated by atmospheric air plasma and coated by various inorganic oxide nanoparticles(MOx) such as titanium dioxide(TiO2), zinc oxide(ZnO), and silicon oxide(SiO2), using poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF) and chitosan(CT) as binders. The resulting PET-PVDF-MOx-CT composites were thermally compressed and then characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier infrared spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis, and flame retardancy(FR) ability tests. PET modifications resulted in more thermally stable and less harmful composites with weaker hazardous gas release. This was explained in terms of structure compaction that blocks pyrolysis gas *** incorporation was found to reduce the material susceptibility to oxidation. This judicious procedure also allowed improving flame retardancy ability, by lengthening the combustion delay and slowing the flame propagation. Chitosan also turned out to contribute to a possible synergy with the other polymers present in the synthesized materials. These results provide valuable data that allow understanding the FR phenomena and envisaging low-cost high FR materials from biodegradable raw materials.

Aim: Investigating the incidence of non-renal acute adverse events (AAEs) in patients undergoing unenhanced or enhanced computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance (MR) (four groups) using the ac- tive interview-method. Methods: The imaging procedure followed the standards of the department. Furthermore, the iodine-based (nonionic monomer) and gadolinium-based (cyclic) contrast agent was the same as used for all other examinations in the department. All patients were interviewed for 72 hours after the MR or CT examination regarding occurrence of AAEs using a structured questionnaire. Results: A total of 1358 patients (259 with enhanced MR, 434 with unenhanced MR, 450 with enhanced CT and 215 with unenhanced CT) were enrolled. AAEs were significantly higher (P unenhanced MR [39 (9.0%)] and CT [5 (2.3%)] groups. Dizziness was significantly [19 (7.3%), (P frequent in the enhanced MR. The same AAEs were reported in both contrast groups and control groups. Conclusion: AAEs which are mainly considered to be caused by the contrast medium are also experienced by patients undergoing CT or MR without contrast. Enhanced MR is correlated with more reactions than unenhanced MR and enhanced CT. Dizziness was reported more frequently after MR than CT, both with and without contrast;more patients were CNS examined with MR and with CT.

The filament of cape Ghir is characterized by a spatial and temporal variability relating to circulation of the water masses of the zone and current velocity of canaries current. The activity of resurgences of cape Ghir appears from April, intensifies during August and June and still persists in October during 2009. During the season of summer and autumn, the filamentous structure is marked by the presence of an activity of important resurgences. In August, the filament is restricted on one branch and appears in limited area of cape Ghir. In autumn, the filament structure fellow several branches toward different directions between cape Ghir and cape Sim.

In Sidi Chennane deposits (Morocco), the phosphatic series is composed of regular interbedded phosphatic and marly limestone layers. Exploitation of the phosphate in these deposits collides frequently with problems bound to the existence, in this series, of sterile bodies qualified as derangements. They cause two kinds of problems: 1) as they are hard, compact and masked by a Quaternary cover, they disturb the exploitation in some yards and give bad reserve calculation;2) even the use of wells and mechanical boreholes did not evidence their delimitation. Our study shows that these bodies can be detected and delimited using ground penetrating radar and electrical resistivity tomography methods. It is based on the acquisition and the interpretation of series tests using these methods carried out above visible sterile bodies in a trench of exploitation in order to have geologically valid information. The article concerns to the analysis of the results and of the proceeding for a possible large geophysics survey.
