Superinfection of hepatitis E Virus as a cause of decompensation in liver cirrhosis due to hepatitis B virus

Objevtive:Super infection with hepatitis A virus(HAV ) and hepatitis E virus(HEV ) in the presence of underlying hepatocellular injury can cause severe *** endemic areas such as india,however most patients already have been exposed to HAV but could still be susceptible to HEV *** our study we determined the seroprevalence of anti-HAV igM and anti-HEV igM to assess the incidence of superinfection with these viruses in cirrhotic patients with the goal of defining the need for protection against these viruses and further correlate the presence of these viruses with the clinical ***:We studied 53 patients of cirrhosis as a result of Hepatitis B *** causes of decompensation were ruled out before their inclusion in the study *** sample from these patients was tested for HBsAg,anti HBc igG,anti HEV igM and anti HAV igG and igM by commercially available ELiSA *** function test was done on all the patients and correlated with various serological ***:anti HBc igG was present in all the cases of cirrhosis. Hepatitis B surface antigen was present in 20 out of 53 cases of *** of the patients demonstrated anti-HAV igM,however one patient had anti-HEV ***:Superinfection with HAV in adult patient is uncommon in *** of acute HEV infection in decompensated cirrhosis is low in the present study but presence of HEV superinfection in one patient corroborates the apprehension of liver function deterioration following superinfection with HEV virus.

The remediation of wastewater requires treatment technologies which are robust, efficient,simple to operate and affordable such as adsorption. Lately, three-dimensional(3D)graphene based materials have attracted significant attention as effective adsorbents for wastewater treatment. The intrinsic properties of 3D graphene structure such as large surface area and interconnected porous structure can facilitate the transport of pollutants into the 3D network and provide abundant active sites for trapping the pollutants. For the synthesis of 3D graphene structure, ice-templating is commonly practiced due to its facile steps, cost effectiveness and high scalability potential. This review covers the icetemplating fabrication technique for 3D graphene based materials and their application as adsorbents in eliminating dyes and heavy metals from aqueous media. The assembly mechanisms of the ice-templating fsynthesis are comprehensively discussed. Further discussion on the fundamental principles, critical process parameters and characteristics of ice-templated 3D graphene structures is also included. A thorough review on the mechanisms for batch adsorption of dyes and heavy metals is presented based on the structures and properties of the 3D graphene materials. The review further evaluates the dynamic adsorption in packed columns and the regeneration of 3D graphene based materials.

Spatial variability of soil hydraulic and physical properties in erosive sloping agricultural fields

it is essential to minimize soil quality degradation in sloping agricultural fields through stabilization and improvement of soil hydraulic properties using sustainable soil *** study aimed to analyze the impact of different tillage practices,including conventional tillage(CT),minimum tillage(MT),and zero tillage(ZT),on soil hydraulic conductivity in a sloping agricultural field under maizeewheat *** results showed that the highest runoff volume(257.40 m3),runoff coefficient(42.84%),and soil loss(11.3 t)were observed when the CT treatment was *** contrast,the lowest runoff volume(67.95 m3),runoff coefficient(11.35%),and soil loss(1.05 t)were observed when the ZT treatment was *** soil organic carbon and aggregate mean weight diameter were found to be significantly greater(with mean values of 0.79%and 1.19 mm,respectively)with the ZT treatment than with the CT *** the tilled treatments(CT and MT),substantial changes in the saturated soil hydraulic conductivity(ks),near-saturated soil hydraulic conductivity(k),and water-conducting porosity(ε)were observed between two crop *** three soil parameters were significantly higher in the period after maize harvesting than in the wheat growing *** contrast,no significant difference in these soil parameters was found when the untilled treatment(ZT)was carried *** regard to the slope positions,ks,k,andεshowed different behaviors under different *** toe slope position showed significantly lower ks andεvalues than the summit and middle slope *** the evaluated tillage practices,ZT was found to be the most promising means to improve the soil hydro-physical properties and effectively reduce surface runoff and soil erosion.

制备了硫化氢固体氧化物燃料电池的无机质子传导膜和膜-电极-组装(MEA)。用扫描电镜(SEM)和电化学阻抗(EiS)技术表征了无机质子传导膜和MEA的形貌与性能。研究了不同膜厚和掺杂或没有掺杂Li2WO4组分的传导膜和MEA的性能。结果表明,与没有掺杂Li2WO4组分制备的MEA相比,掺杂了Li2WO4组分制备的MEA的电导提高了一个数量级,掺杂了Li2WO4制备的MEA硫化氢燃料电池在操作条件下具有更好的化学稳定性和电化学性能。以Mo-Ni-S为主要成分的复合阳极、0.8mm厚和组成为67wt% Li2SO4+8wt% Li2WO4+25wt% Al2O3复合材料制备的质子传导膜、NiO为主要组分的复合阴极构成的MEA硫化氢燃料电池,在650、700和750℃时,最大输出功率密度分别达到50、85和130mW·cm-2,最大电流密度分别为200、350和480mA·cm-2。

The microstructural evolution of a thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU)with low hard segment content has been monitored utilizing in situ real-time synchrotron small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS)and time-domain nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)*** TPU is composed of 23 wt% of[4,4-methylenediphenyl diisocyanate(MDi)]-[1,4-butanediol(BD)]chain segments,which form hard domains,as[polytetrahydrofuran(PTHF)]forming soft *** number and distribution of monomer units in hard blocks is determined by the successive self-nucleation and annealing thermal fractionation *** situ SAXS method reveals heating-induced increase in the spacing of hard and soft domains,while time-domain ^(1)H-NMR characterizes the changes in the phase composition and chain dynamics in these domains.A glassy fraction of short MDi-BD chain segments in hard domains passes through T_(g) above ambient *** higher temperatures,MDi-BD nanocrystals start to *** length distribution of MDi-BD chain segments causes a distribution in crystal sizes and wide melting temperature *** melting is accompanied by the mixing of MDi-BD with PTHF segments in soft domains,and by increase in segmental mobility in these *** 180℃,the TPU melt is homogeneous on the scale above nanometers according to SAXS data.

Length-weight relationship provides basic information of a fi sh’s condition while the morphometric data of otolith has been traditionally used to determine the range of fi sh sizes for various *** length-weight relationship of Terapon jarbua(Forskål,1775)was examined from 165 specimens,while 132 specimens were used in sagittal otolith biometry *** specimens were obtained from various locations in Malaysia including Pahang,Selangor,Sarawak,and *** total length of fi sh ranged 12.5–32.5 cm,while the total weight ranged 26.28–444.30 *** otolith length ranged 0.423–1.070 cm,and the otolith weight was 0.0103–0.1572 *** specimens displayed a mixture of positive and negative allometry growth as indicated by fl uctuating b values between 2.74 and *** overall coeffi cient of determination(R 2)between fi sh length and weight was 0.9729,which implies a strong *** regressions between the fi sh length and otolith dimensions were highly signifi cant(Pith dimensions found to be most closely related to the fi sh total length was the otolith *** was supported by the regression model showing a high R 2 value of 86.57%.The aspect ratio of otolith was 1.80±0.14(mean±SD).Results confi rm that the otolith growth refl ects the somatic growth of *** length-weight relationship explained the growth conditions of the fi shes in each location while the overall b value of 2.91 indicates that the condition of *** grown in Malaysian waters during the study period was generally in good *** study contributed to the database on the morphometric data of otolith of *** as well as the fi rst report on fi sh length-weight relationship for *** in Malaysia.

Objective: A variety of ion channels have been implicated in breast cancer proliferation and *** K+(Kv) channels not only cause repolarization in excitable cells,but are also involved in multiple cellular functions in non-excitable *** this study we investigated the role of Kv channels in migration of BT474 breast cancer ***: Transwell technique was used to separate migratory cells from non-migratory ones and these two groups of cells were subject to electrophysiological examinations and microfluorimetric measurements for cytosolic *** migration was examined in the absence or presence of Kv channel ***: When compared with non-migratory cells,migratory cells had much higher Kv current densities,but rather unexpectedly,more depolarized membrane potential and reduced *** transcriptasepolymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) analysis revealed the presence of Kv1.1,Kv1.3,Kv1.5,Kv2.1,Kv3.3,Kv3.4 and Kv4.3 *** migration was markedly inhibited by tetraethylammonium(TEA),a delayed rectifier Kv channel blocker,but not by 4-aminopyridine,an A-type Kv channel ***: Taken together,our results show that increased Kv channel expression played a role in BT474 cell migration,and Kv channels could be considered as biomarkers or potential therapeutic targets for breast cancer *** mechanism(s) by which Kv channels enhanced migration appeared unrelated to membrane hyperpolarization and Cainflux.
