Amino-functionalized Zr-MOF(amino-Zr-MOF)was synthesized using 2-aminoterephthalic acid as an organic *** physicochemical properties of the material were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),and N_(2) adsorption to understand its crystalline structure,morphology,thermal stability,and porous ***_(2) adsorption isotherms on amino-Zr-MOF were obtained at 1 atm and at different *** addition,CO_(2) and CH_(4) adsorption at high pressure(up to 10 atm)was also ***_(2) adsorption capacity on amino-Zr-MOF was 9 mmol/g at 988 kPa,0℃,while CH_(4) adsorption capacity was 3.7 mmol/g at 900 kPa,0℃.The heat of CO_(2) adsorption on amino-Zr-MOF was estimated to be 29.4 kJ/*** column tests of CO_(2) adsorption were performed at different concentrations of CO_(2) in nitrogen at 20 mL/min and 0.7 g adsorbent and total adsorbed amounts of CO_(2) within the column during the breakthrough time were calculated to be 4.55,5.26 and 4.37 mmol/g at 10%,15%and 20%CO_(2),respectively.

The woodpigeon(Columba palumbus)is a common and widespread bird in Morocco(North Africa).I examined,over 2 years(2010 and 2011),the breeding density and nest placement of this game species in relation to nest site habitat and degree of human *** study area was in the Middle Atlas Tighboula mountain forest,Morocco,in a disturbed and an undisturbed *** data collected in the 2 study sites,I aimed to identify the factors influencing the placement of nests within holm oak trees(Quercus rotundifolia)and their densities.I found that habitat structures,influenced by grazing disturbance,have affected nesting density and the location of nests of this *** place their nests in a higher position(3.42±0.19 m)when disturbance intensity is high and lower(1.68±0.1 m)when disturbance intensity is low,and show higher nesting density in less disturbed zone(3.1±0.4 nests/ha)than in highly disturbed zones(1.4±0.2 nests/ha).Grazing disturbance could pose a threat to population persistence at a broader scale and could potentially reduce the abundance of this species by altering the composition and the structure of the forest nesting *** multi-scale studies are needed to assess the effects of different levels of grazing disturbance on woodpigeon nest density and placement,and to enhance our knowledge of the breeding behavior of this game species under variable environments.

A new europium(Ⅲ)complex containing(4-Methyl-2-oxo-2 H-chromen-7-yloxy)-acetic acid moiety(CMMC)was synthesized,characterized,and confirmed as antitumor agent and fluorescent *** spectroscopic measurements of Eu(Ⅲ)in the presence of CMMC were obtained in different *** results show that the strongest Eu(Ⅲ)emission bands were monitored in iso-propyl alcohol while the weakest Eu(Ⅲ)emission band was observed in *** interaction of Eu(Ⅲ)-(CMMC)2 complex with DNA was monitored using absorption and emission *** fluorescence titration measurements,the binding constants of DNA with Eu(Ⅲ)-(CMMC)_2 complex were found to be 1.04×10~5 L·mol^(-1) in Tris-HCl and 1.17×10~7 L·mol^(-1) in DMSO-Tris-HCl buffer(9∶1 V/V).Hypochromism was observed from the absorption titration experiment which indicates the intercalation of Eu(Ⅲ)-complex between the base pair of *** result further confirmed by fluorescent Ethidium bromide displacement *** fluorescence calibration curve was used for the determination of DNA with LOD of 1.2 ng in DMSO-Tris-HCl buffer(9∶1 V/V)and 5 ng in Tris-HCl *** preliminary antitumor investigation shows promising cytotoxicity against MDA-MB-231,MCF-7(mammary cancer),and PC-3(prostate carcinoma)cell lines with IC50 values of 40.63,25.42 and 30.25μmol·L^(-1),respectively.

This study determined the effects of genotype-by-environment(G × E) interaction and stability of yield among elite cowpea(Vigna unguiculata L.) selections derived by gamma irradiation. The study was conducted in Namibia at three selected sites: Bagani, Mannheim,and Omahenene, during 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. Thirty-four newly developed mutant genotypes and three local checks were evaluated using a randomized complete block design with three replications. Grain yield data were analyzed using the additive main effects and multiplicative interaction(AMMI) and the genotype main effect plus genotype-by-environment interaction(GGE) biplot methods. The AMMI and GGE biplot models explained 77.49% and 75.57% of total observed genotypic variation, *** and Omahenene were the environments best discriminating the test genotypes during 2014/2015 and 2015/2016, respectively. Four promising mutant genotypes: G9(Sh L3 P74), G10(Sh R3 P4), G12(Sh R9 P5), and G4(Sh L2 P4), showed wide adaptation and grain yields of 2.83, 2.06, 1.99, and 1.95 t ha^(-1), respectively. The novel mutant lines are useful genetic resources for production or future cowpea breeding programs in Namibia or similar environments.

In this work, we study the effects of the spin-0 unparticle on γγ → γγ process. From the numerical results, we show that the cross section with unparticle effect should be about 1027 - 1030 times larger than the one that is confirmed by QED calculation. This could have important implications for unparticle searches and for the measurement of the photon-photon cross section.

Photo-protective functions were investigated in phytoplankton assemblages at Kongsfjorden, Svalbard in spring, using their UV-absorbing compounds （mycosporine-like amino acids （MAAs））, xanthophyllpigments （diadinoxanthin （DD） and diatoxanthin （DT）） and〈beta〉-dimethylsulphoniopropionate （〈beta〉-DMSP）. The dominant phytoplankton species in the inner bay were dominated by Phaeocystis spp. and nanoflagellates, while the offshore waters were dominated by Thalassiosira spp. In the inner bay, UV- absorbing compounds and xanthophyll pigments exhibited higher ratios of MAA to chlorophyll a （MAA：chl a ratio）, and both DD and DT to chlorophyll a （DD：chl a ratio and DT：chl a ratio）, respectively. Thus, the photoprotective-pigrnents such as DD and DT appear to complement MAAs in the natural phytoplankton assemblage. However, the ratio of 〈beta〉-DMSP to chlorophyll a （〈beta〉-DMSP：chl a ratio） did not show a distinct spatial distribution according to environmental factors or interspecies differences. In this study, we found that photoprotective compounds occurred in a manner dependent on the phytoplankton species composition in Kongsfjorden Bay, where Phaeocystis is the dominant species.
