Objective:To determine the chemical structure of the new compound and investigate the protective effects of Tinosporaic acid A and B towards in-vitro ***:The structures of two new compounds were established by analyzing its 1D and 2D NMR spectra as well as *** neuroprotective effects with respect to the antioxidant properties were evaluated by radical scavenging tests and hydrogen peroxide-injured oxidative stress model in PC12 cell *** morphology of treated PC12 cells was observed by phase contrast ***-vitro MTT assay,lactate dehydrogenase activity assay and oxidative stress markers(intracellular ROS production,MDA level,and caspase-3 activity) were used to evaluate the protective effects against hydrogen peroxide induced cytotoxicity in PC12 ***:The two new compounds,named Tinosporaic acid A and B,were isolated and identified from the stem bark of Tinospora *** viability studies identified a representative concentration for each extract that was subsequently used to measure oxidative stress *** extracts were able to reverse the oxidative damage caused by hydrogen peroxide,thus promoting PC12 cells *** concentration of Tinosporaic acid A and B were 86.34 μg/mL and 22.06 μg/mL respectively,which is neuroprotective for EC_(50).The results indicated that both of them significantly attenuated hydrogen peroxide-induced ***:The two new compounds isolated from ethanol extracts of Tinospora hainanensis are the promising natural ones with neuroprotective activity and needed for further research.

The yellow color of the cocoon of the silkworm Bombyx mori is controlled by three genes, Y （Yellow haemolymph）, 1 （Yellow inhibitor） and C （ Outer-layer yellow cocoon）, which are located on linkage groups 2, 9 and 12, respectively. Taking advantage of a lack of crossing over in females, reciprocal backcrossed F1 （BC1） progeny were used for linkage analysis and mapping of the C gene using silkworm strains C 108 and KY, which spin white and yellow cocoons, respectively. DNA was extracted from individual pupae and analyzed for simple sequence repeat （SSR） markers. The C gene was found to be linked to seven SSR markers. All the yellow cocoon individuals from a female heterozygous backcross （BC1F） showed a heterozygous profile for SSR markers on linkage group 12, whereas individuals with light yellow cocoons showed the homozygous profile of the strain C108. Using a reciprocal heterozygous male backcross （BC1M）, we constructed a linkage map of 36.4 cM with the C gene located at the distal end, and the closest SSR marker at a distance of 13.9 cM.

Vertical raindrop size distributions of two stratiform rain events were measured with a Micro Rain Radar during summer 2009 at a semiarid continental site located in Xilinhot, China （43°38′N, 116°42′E）. The sequential intensity filtering technique （SIFT） was used to minimize the effect of the spurious variability on disdrometric data to obtain the reflectivity-rain rate （Z-R） relationship （Z = αRb）. Compared with the least squares regression （LSR） method, SIFT led to a -5% to 4% change in the coefficient （a） and an 8%-1 5% increase in the exponent （b） of the Z-R relationship at 300 m. Rainfall estimation using the Z-R relationship with SIFT had lower standard deviation than that with LSR. The vertical variability of the mean rain rate, total raindrop numbers, and parameters （a and b） of the Z-R relationship was small below a melting layer, suggesting that using the radar reflectivity of weather radar to estimate stratiform rainfall is relatively accurate, at least in the Xilinhot area.

Human amniotic epithelial cells were isolated from a piece of fresh amnion. Using immunocytochemical methods, we investigated the expression of neuronal phenotypes （microtubule-associated protein-2, glial fibrillary acidic protein and nestin） in human amniotic epithelial cells. The conditioned medium of human amniotic epithelial cells promoted the growth and proliferation of rat glial cells cultured in vitro, and this effect was dose-dependent. Human amniotic epithelial cells were further transplanted into the corpus striatum of healthy adult rats and the grafted cells could integrate with the host and migrate 1 2 mm along the nerve fibers in corpus callosum. Our experimental findings indicate that human amniotic epithelial cells may be a new kind of seed cells for use in neurograft.
