The technology of three-dimensional(3D)printing emerged in the late 1970s and has since undergone considerable development to find numerous applications in mechanical engineering,industrial design,and *** biomedical science,several studies have initially found that 3D printing technology can play an important role in the treatment of diseases in hepatopancreatobiliary *** example,3D printing technology has been applied to create detailed anatomical models of disease organs for preoperative personalized surgical strategies,surgical simulation,intraoperative navigation,medical training,and patient ***,cancer models have been created using 3D printing technology for the research and selection of chemotherapy *** the aim to clarify the development and application of 3D printing technology in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery,we introduce seven common types of 3D printing technology and review the status of research and application of 3D printing technology in the field of hepatopancreatobiliary surgery.

A Catalog of ^(13)CO Clumps from the MWISP in l=10°–20°

In this study, we present a catalog of molecular clumps extracted from ^(13)CO(J=1-0) emission data of the Milky Way Imaging Scroll Painting(MWISP) project. The data covers the inner Milky Way within the longitude range10°≤l≤20° and the latitude strip of |b|≤ 5°. 25. The workflow for the extraction of clumps, namely Facet-SS-3DClump, consists of two parts: the identification of clump candidates and their verification. First, Facet-SS-3DClump employs FacetClumps to identify clump candidates. Subsequently, high-confidence clumps are obtained by cross-matching with the clumps detected by other algorithms, such as dendrogram. Second, these high-confidence clumps are used as prior knowledge to train a semi-supervised deep clustering approach, SS-3D-Clump, which is applied to verify clump candidates detected by FacetClumps, providing confidence levels for the molecular clumps. Finally, the catalog comprising 18,757 molecular clumps was obtained using Facet-SS-3D-Clump, and the catalog is 90% complete above 37 K km s^(-1). We observe a significant deviation of the mean Galactic latitude for clumps within |b|≤ 2° from the midplane, with b=-0°.110. We found that 82.3% of the dust clumps correspond to ^(13)CO clumps by matching with Herschel infrared dust clumps. In the future, Facet-SS-3D-Clump will be applied to detect ^(13)CO clumps in the entire MWISP data.

Modularized viromimetic polymer nanoparticle vaccines(VPNVaxs) to elicit durable and effective humoral immune responses

Virus-like particle(VLP) vaccines had shown great potential during the COVID-19 pandemic, and was thought to be the next generation of antiviral vaccine technology due to viromimetic structures. However,the time-consuming and complicated processes in establishing a current recombinant-protein–based VLP vaccine has limited its quick launch to the out-bursting pandemic. To simplify and optimize VLP vaccine design, we herein report a kind of viromimetic polymer nanoparticle vaccine(VPNVax), with subunit receptor-binding domain(RBD) proteins conjugated to the surface of polyethylene glycol-b-polylactic acid(PEG-b-PLA) nanoparticles for vaccination against SARS-CoV-2. The preparation of VPNVax based on synthetic polymer particle and chemical post-conjugation makes it possible to rapidly replace the antigens and construct matched vaccines at the emergence of different viruses. Using this modular preparation system, we identified that VPNVax with surface protein coverage of 20%–25% had the best immunostimulatory activity, which could keep high levels of specific antibody titers over 5 months and induce virus neutralizing activity when combined with an aluminum adjuvant. Moreover, the polymer nano-vectors could be armed with more immune-adjuvant functions by loading immunostimulant agents or chemical chirality design. This VPNVax platform provides a novel kind of rapidly producing and efficient vaccine against different variants of SARS-CoV-2 as well as other viral pandemics.

Single-cell profiling of the pig cecum at various developmental stages

The gastrointestinal tract is essential for food digestion,nutrient absorption,waste elimination,and microbial ***-cell transcriptome profiling of the intestinal tract has greatly enriched our understanding of cellular diversity,functional heterogeneity,and their importance in intestinal tract development and *** such profiling has been extensively conducted in humans and mice,the single-cell gene expression landscape of the pig cecum remains ***,single-cell RNA sequencing was performed on 45572 cells obtained from seven cecal samples in pigs at four different developmental stages(days(D)30,42,150,and 730).Analysis revealed 12 major cell types and 38 subtypes,as well as their distinctive genes,transcription factors,and regulons,many of which were conserved in *** increase in the relative proportions of CD8^(+)T and Granzyme A(low expression)natural killer T cells(GZMA^(low)NKT)cells and a decrease in the relative proportions of epithelial stem cells,Tregs,RHEX^(+)T cells,and plasmacytoid dendritic cells(pDCs)were noted across the developmental ***,the post-weaning period exhibited an up-regulation in mitochondrial genes,COX2 and ND2,as well as genes involved in immune activation in multiple cell ***-cell crosstalk analysis indicated that IBP6^(+)fibroblasts were the main signal senders at D30,whereas IBP6^(−)fibroblasts assumed this role at the other *** cells established interactions with epithelial cells and IBP6^(+)fibroblasts in the D730 cecum through mediation of GZMA-F2RL1/F2RL2 *** study provides valuable insights into cellular heterogeneity and function in the pig cecum at different development stages.

The exact relationship between inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)and gut microbiota(GM)is still *** study aimed to explore the cause-and-effect relationship between IBD and GM by Mendelian randomization *** IBD data used in this study were obtained from Genome-Wide Association *** GM data were from the Dutch Microbiome Project and included 207 taxa and 205 microbiota-associated *** Mendelian randomization analysis was performed to investigate the relationship between GM and *** results demonstrated that susceptibility to developing IBD is negatively correlated with class Clostridia(OR=0.80,P=0.003),family Sutterellacea(OR=0.87,P=0.014),genus Coprobacter(OR=0.90,P=0.009),order Clostridiales(OR=0.80,P=0.003),phylum Firmicutes(OR=0.82,P=0.002)and Coprobacter fastidiosus(OR=0.90,P=0.009).Conversely,the risk of developing IBD was positively correlated with the phosphopantothenate biosynthesis I pathway(OR=1.17,P=0.006),Bacteroides caccae(OR=1.14,P=0.021)and Bacteroides uniformis(OR=1.26,P=0.003).Reverse causality was found between the phosphopantothenate biosynthesis I pathway and IBD(OR=1.03,P=0.04),but not for the remaining specific GM *** conclusion,our study demonstrated a causal relationship between specific GM features and IBD.

BACKGROUND Partial splenic embolization(PSE)has been suggested as an alternative to splenectomy in the treatment of ***,some patients may experience recurrence of hypersplenism after PSE and require ***,there is a lack of evidence-based medical support regarding whether preoperative PSE followed by splenectomy can reduce the incidence of *** To investigate the safety and therapeutic efficacy of preoperative PSE followed by splenectomy in patients with cirrhosis and *** Between January 2010 and December 2021,321 consecutive patients with cirrhosis and hypersplenism underwent splenectomy at our *** on whether PSE was performed prior to splenectomy,the patients were divided into two groups:PSE group(n=40)and non-PSE group(n=281).Patient characteristics,postoperative complications,and follow-up data were compared between *** score matching(PSM)was conducted,and univariable and multivariable analyses were used to establish a nomogram predictive model for intraoperative bleeding(IB).The receiver operating characteristic curve,Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test,and decision curve analysis(DCA)were employed to evaluate the differentiation,calibration,and clinical performance of the *** After PSM,the non-PSE group showed significant reductions in hospital stay,intraoperative blood loss,and operation time(all P=0.00).Multivariate analysis revealed that spleen length,portal vein diameter,splenic vein diameter,and history of PSE were independent predictive factors for IB.A nomogram predictive model of IB was constructed,and DCA demonstrated the clinical utility of this *** groups exhibited similar results in terms of overall survival during the follow-up *** Preoperative PSE followed by splenectomy may increase the incidence of IB and a nomogram-based prediction model can predict the occurrence of IB.

The semi-hydrogenation of alkyne to form Z-olefins with high conversion and high selectivity is still a huge challenge in the chemical ***,flammable and explosive hydrogen as the common hydrogen source of this reaction increases the cost and danger of industrial ***,we connect the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction and the semihydrogenation reaction of alkynes in series and successfully realize the high selective production of Z-alkenes using low-cost,safe,and green water as the proton *** the cascade reaction,a series of isomorphic metal–organic cage catalysts(Co_(x)Zn_(8−x)L_(6),x=0,3,4,5,and 8)are designed and synthesized to improve the yield of the photocatalytic hydrogen *** them,Co_(5)Zn_(3)L_(6) shows the highest photocatalytic activity,with a H_(2) generation rate of 8.81 mmol g^(−1) h^(−1).Then,Co_(5)Zn_(3)L_(6) is further applied in the above tandem reaction to efficiently reduce alkynes to Z-alkenes under ambient conditions,which can reach high conversion of>98%and high selectivity of>99%,and maintain original catalytic activity after multiple ***“one-pot”tandem reaction can achieve a highly selective and safe stepwise conversion from water into hydrogen into Z-olefins under mild reaction conditions.

A critical challenge to the commercialization of clean and high-efficiency solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)technology is the insuf-ficient stack lifespan caused by a variety of degradation mechanisms,which are associated with cell components and chemical *** components related degradation refers to thermal/chemical/electrochemical deterioration of cell materials under operating conditions,whereas the latter regards impurities in feedstocks of oxidant(air)and reductant(fuel).This article provides a thermodynamic perspective on the understanding of the impurities-induced degradation mechanisms in *** discussion focuses on using thermodynamic ana-lysis to elucidate poisoning mechanisms in cathodes by impurity species such as Cr,CO_(2),H_(2)O,and SO_(2) and in the anode by species such as S(or H_(2)S),SiO_(2),and P_(2)(or PH_(3)).The author hopes the presented fundamental insights can provide a theoretical foundation for search-ing for better technical solutions to address the critical degradation challenges.

Carotid versus axillary artery cannulation for descending aorta remodeling in type A acute aortic dissection

BACKGROUND Arterial cannulation sites for the surgical repair of type A aortic dissection(AAD)have evolved from right axillary artery(AA)cannulation to bilateral carotid artery(CA)based of femoral artery(FA)*** descending aorta remodeling is closely linked to the false lumen area ratio(FLAR),defined as false lumen area/aortic area,as well as to the incidence of renal replacement therapy(RRT).AIM To investigate the effect of the updated arterial cannulation strategy on descending aortic *** A total of 443 AAD patients who received FA combined cannulation between March 2015 and March 2023 were included in the *** these,209 received right AA cannulation and 234 received bilateral CA *** primary outcome was the change in FLAR,as calculated from computed tomography angiography in three segments of the descending aorta:Thoracic(S1),upper abdominal(S2),and lower abdominal(S3).Secondary outcomes were the incidence of RRT and the serum inflammation response,as observed by the levels of high sensitivity C reaction protein(hs-CRP)and Interleukin-6(IL-6).RESULTS The postoperative/preoperative ratio of FLAR in S2 and S3 was higher in the AA group compared to the CA group(S2:0.80±0.08 vs 0.75±0.07,P<0.001;S3:0.57±0.12 vs 0.50±0.12,P<0.001,respectively).The AA group also had a significantly higher incidence of RRT(19.1%vs 8.5%,P=0.001;odds ratio:2.533,95%CI:1.427-4.493)and higher levels of inflammation cytokines 24 h after the procedure[hr-CRP:117±17 vs 104±15 mg/L;IL-6:129(103,166)vs 83(69,101)pg/mL;both P<0.001]compared to the CA *** The CA cannulation strategy was associated with better abdominal aorta remodeling after AAD repair compared to AA cannulation,as observed by a greater change in FLAR and lower incidence of RRT.
