Effects of intensive psychological intervention on treatment compliance,psychological status,and quality of life of patients with epilepsy

BACKGROUND Epilepsy is a nervous system disease characterized by recurrent attacks,a long disease course,and an unfavorable *** is associated with an enduring therapeutic process,and finding a cure has been *** with epilepsy are predisposed to adverse moods,such as resistance,anxiety,nervousness,and anxiety,which compromise treatment compliance and overall *** To explored the influence of intensive psychological intervention on treatment compliance,psychological status,and quality of life(QOL)of patients with *** The clinical data of 105 patients with epilepsy admitted between December 2019 and July 2023 were retrospectively analyzed,including those of 50 patients who underwent routine intervention(control group)and 55 who underwent intensive psychological intervention(research group).Treatment compliance,psychological status based on the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Depression Scale Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)scores,hope level assessed using the Herth Hope Scale(HHS),psychological resilience evaluated using the Psychological Resilience Scale,and QOL determined using the QOL in Epilepsy-31 Inventory(QOLIE-31)were comparatively *** Treatment compliance in the research group was 85.5%,which is significantly better than the 68.0%of the control *** notable intergroup differences in preinterventional SAS and SDS scores were identified(P>0.05);however,after the intervention,the SAS and SDS scores decreased significantly in the two groups,especially in the research group(P0.05).After 6 months of intervention,the research group showed evidently higher HHS,CD-RISC,tenacity,optimism,strength,and QOLIE-31 scores(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Intensive psychological intervention enhances treatment compliance,psychological status,and QOL of patients with epilepsy.

Evolution of interfacial heat transfer,contact behavior and microstructure during sub-rapid solidification of molten steel with different hydrogen contents

Typical Q235 low-carbon steel samples with different hydrogen contents(0.0004,0.0008,and 0.0013 wt.%)were prepared by adjusting the environment humidity and *** effects of hydrogen on interfacial heat transfer,contact behavior,and microstructure evolution were investigated using a novel droplet solidification *** results revealed that when the hydrogen content increases from 0.0004 to 0.0013 wt.%,the maximum heat flux between the molten steel and cooling substrate decreases from 8.01 to 6.19 MW/m^(2),and the total heat removed in the initial 2 s reduces from 10.30 to 8.27 MJ/m^(2).Moreover,the final contact angle between the molten steel and substrate increases from 103.741°to 113.697°,and the number of pores on the droplet bottom surface increases significantly from 21 to 210 with the increase in *** surface roughness of the droplet bottom surface increases from 20.902 to 49.181 *** addition,the average grain size of the droplet increases from 14.778 to 33.548 pm with the increase in the hydrogen *** interfacial contact condition becomes worse due to the escape of hydrogen from the steel matrix during the cooling process,which leads to the reduction in the interfacial heat transfer and the increase in the grain size.

Identifying the risk factors for pancreatic fistula after laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy in patients with pancreatic cancer

BACKGROUND Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy(LPD)is a surgical procedure for treating pancreatic cancer;however,the risk of complications remains high owing to the wide range of organs involved during the surgery and the difficulty of *** fistula(PF)is a major complication that not only increases the risk of postoperative infection and abdominal hemorrhage but may also cause multi-organ failure,which is a serious threat to the patient’s *** study hypothesized the risk factors for PF after *** To identify the risk factors for PF after laparoscopic pancreatoduodenectomy in patients with pancreatic *** We retrospectively analyzed the data of 201 patients admitted to the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center between August 2022 and August 2023 who underwent LPD for pancreatic *** the basis of the PF’s incidence(grades B and C),patients were categorized into the PF(n=15)and non-PF groups(n=186).Differences in general data,preoperative laboratory indicators,and surgery-related factors between the two groups were compared and analyzed using multifactorial logistic regression and receiver-operating characteristic(ROC)curve *** The proportions of males,combined hypertension,soft pancreatic texture,and pancreatic duct diameter≤3 mm;surgery time;body mass index(BMI);and amylase(Am)level in the drainage fluid on the first postoperative day(Am>1069 U/L)were greater in the PF group than in the non-PF group(P24.91 kg/m²[odds ratio(OR)=13.978,95%confidence interval(CI):1.886-103.581],hypertension(OR=8.484,95%CI:1.22-58.994),soft pancreatic texture(OR=42.015,95%CI:5.698-309.782),and operation time>414 min(OR=15.41,95%CI:1.63-145.674)were risk factors for the development of PF after LPD for pancreatic cancer(all P<0.05).The areas under the ROC curve for BMI,

Micro segment analysis of supercritical methane thermal-hydraulic performance and pseudo-boiling in a PCHE straight channel

The printed circuit heat exchanger(PCHE) is receiving wide attention as a new kind of compact heat exchanger and is considered as a promising vaporizer in the LNG process. In this paper, a PCHE straight channel in the length of 500 mm is established, with a semicircular cross section in a diameter of 1.2 *** simulation is employed to investigate the flow and heat transfer performance of supercritical methane in the channel. The pseudo-boiling theory is adopted and the liquid-like, two-phase-like, and vapor-like regimes are divided for supercritical methane to analyze the heat transfer and flow *** results are presented in micro segment to show the local convective heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop. It shows that the convective heat transfer coefficient in segments along the channel has a significant peak feature near the pseudo-critical point and a heat transfer deterioration when the average fluid temperature in the segment is higher than the pseudo-critical point. The reason is explained with the generation of vapor-like film near the channel wall that the peak feature related to a nucleateboiling-like state and heat transfer deterioration related to a film-boiling-like state. The effects of parameters, including mass flow rate, pressure, and wall heat flux on flow and heat transfer were *** calculating of the averaged heat transfer coefficient of the whole channel, the traditional method shows significant deviation and the micro segment weighted average method is adopted. The pressure drop can mainly be affected by the mass flux and pressure and little affected by the wall heat flux. The peak of the convective heat transfer coefficient can only form at high mass flux, low wall heat flux, and near critical pressure, in which condition the nucleate-boiling-like state is easier to appear. Experimental study on combustion characteristics of supersonic combustor based on alternating-wedge strut

Acetone Planar Lase-Induced Fluorescence(PLIF)and OH-PLIF were employed to capture the fuel distribution and OH distribution downstream for the supersonic combustor based on the alternating-wedge *** combustion establishment process and combustion mode in the combustor under different fuel injection methods and different equivalence ratios were *** with the kerosene-PLIF and OH-PLIF results in the cavity combustor,a comparative analysis was conducted to understand the combustion characteristics and combustion modes between the alternating-wedge strut-based combustor and the cavity-based *** results show that the combustor is in weak combustion mode in the case of low equivalence ratio,and the combustor is in intensive combustion mode in the case of high equivalence *** lower limit of the equivalence ratio of the combustor to maintain the intensive combustion mode varies based on different fuel injection *** OH distribution under reacting condition has a strong correlation with the fuel distribution under non-reacting *** OH fluorescence signal near the injector is weaker when the fuel distribution is more *** injector position located at the base of the strut rear has better mixing performance,enabling the combustor to be in intensive combustion mode at a lower equivalence *** combustion reaction in the alternating-wedge strut-based combustor is not necessarily dominated by mass transfer due to the mixing enhancement and premixed zone downstream of strut,while the combustion reaction process in the cavity-based combustor is mainly influenced by mass transfer.
