This paper reports on the status of technology development under a national project launched in 2019 to address the problem of decreased system inertia associated with the large-scale integration of renewable *** project comprises two parts:the development of a system inertia observation technology using a continuous monitoring system to observe inertia and development of an inverter equipped with a function to provide virtual inertia as a countermeasure *** both these efforts,the project aims to facilitate the introduction of renewable energy in the future with minimum *** was confirmed that the trend of inertia observed with the developed method was generally the same as that of the total inertia of synchronous machines observed by an electric *** effectiveness of the countermeasure device in reducing the frequency swing during a disturbance was confirmed through evaluation tests.

Cancer cells adapt to environmental changes and alter their metabolic pathways to promote survival and proliferation. Metabolic reprogramming not only allows tumor cells to maintain a reduction-oxidation balance by rewiring resources for survival, but also causes nutrient addiction or metabolic vulnerability. Ferroptosis is a form of regulated cell death characterized by the iron-dependent accumulation of lipid peroxides. Excess iron in ovarian cancer amplifies free oxidative radicals and drives the Fenton reaction, thereby inducing ferroptosis. However, ovarian cancer is characterized by ferroptosis resistance. Therefore, the induction of ferroptosis is an exciting new targeted therapy for ovarian cancer. In this review, potential metabolic pathways targeting ferroptosis were summarized to promote anticancer effects, and current knowledge and future perspectives on ferroptosis for ovarian cancer therapy were discussed. Two therapeutic strategies were highlighted in this review: directly inducing the ferroptosis pathway and targeting metabolic vulnerabilities that affect ferroptosis. The overexpression of SLC7A11, a cystine/glutamate antiporter SLC7A11 (also known as xCT), is involved in the suppression of ferroptosis. xCT inhibition by ferroptosis inducers (e.g., erastin) can promote cell death when carbon as an energy source of glucose, glutamine, or fatty acids is abundant. On the contrary, xCT regulation has been reported to be highly dependent on the metabolic vulnerability. Drugs that target intrinsic metabolic vulnerabilities (e.g., GLUT1 inhibitors, PDK4 inhibitors, or glutaminase inhibitors) predispose cancer cells to death, which is triggered by decreased nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate generation or increased reactive oxygen species accumulation. Therefore, therapeutic approaches that either directly inhibit the xCT pathway or target metabolic vulnerabilities may be effective in overcoming ferroptosis resistance. Machine learning is an emerging tool in the field of materials chemistry for uncovering a principle from large ***,we focus on the spherical precipitation behavior of polymers and computationally extract a hidden trend that is orthogonal to the availability bias in the chemical *** constructing a dataset,four polymers were precipitated from 416 solvent/nonsolvent combinations,and the morphology of the resulting precipitates were *** dataset was subjected to computational investigations consisting of principal component analysis and machine learning based on random forest model and support vector ***,we eliminated the effect of the availability bias and found a linear combination of Hansen parameters to be the most suitable variable for predicting precipitation *** predicted appropriate solvents are those with low hydrogen bonding capability,low polarity,and small molecular ***,we found that the capability for spherical precipitation is orthogonal to the availability bias and forms an extraordinary axis in Hansen space,which is the origin of the conventional difficulty in identifying the *** extraordinary axis points toward a void region,indicating the potential value of synthesizing novel solvents located therein.
