The transformation of aldose to ketose or common sugars into rare saccharides,including rare ketoses and aldoses,is of great value and interest to the food industry and for saccharidic biomass utilization,medicine,and the synthesis of ***,high-fructose corn syrup(HFCS)is industrially produced in more than 10 million tons annually using immobilized glucose *** low-calorie saccharides such as tagatose and psicose,which are becoming popular sweeteners,have also been produced on a pilot scale in order to replace sucrose and ***,current catalysts and catalytic processes are still difficult to utilize in biomass conversion and also have strong substrate dependence in producing high-value,rare *** the specific reaction properties of saccharides and catalysts,since the pioneering discovery by Fischer,various catalysts and catalytic systems have been discovered or developed in attempts to extend the reaction pathways,improve the reaction efficiency,and to potentially produce commercial *** this review,we trace the history of sugar isomerization/epimerization reactions and summarize the important breakthroughs for each reaction as well as the difficulties that remain unresolved to date.

Objective: To examine factors to predict the optimal stent pusher position when inserting ureteral stents under ***: We retrospectively reviewed 327 patients who underwent ureteral stent insertion. We considered the pubic bone as a useful anatomical landmark to insert ureteral stents under fluoroscopic guidance. Thus, we categorized patients into three groups (proximal, middle, and distal groups) according to the position of the radiopaque tip of the push catheter when inserting the ureteral stent. Success was defined as a completely curled ureteral stent tail. We compared stent insertion success rates among the three groups. A multivariate analysis was performed to identify the factors affecting stent insertion ***: In men, 36 (63.2%) cases were deemed successful in the proximal group compared with 40 (80.0%) cases in the middle group and 12 (20.7%) cases in the distal group (p<0.001). In women, 26 (45.6%) cases were deemed successful in the proximal group compared with 54 (98.2%) cases in the middle group and 38 (76.0%) cases in the distal group (p<0.001). With the multivariate analysis, the stent pusher position was the most significant factor influencing successful stent insertion (men: odds ratio 6.00, 95% confidence interval 2.66-13.51, p<0.001;women: odds ratio 37.80, 95% confidence interval 4.94-289.22, p<0.001).Conclusion: The position of the stent pusher affects stent insertion success. The middle of the pubic symphysis is the optimal position for the radiopaque tip of the pusher when inserting ureteral stents under fluoroscopic guidance.

We define an m-involution to be a matrix K ∈ Cn×n for which Km -= I. In this article, we investigate the class Sm （A） of m-involutions that commute with a diagonalizable matrix A E Cn×n. A number of basic properties of Sm （A） and its related subclass Sm （A, X） are given, where X is an eigenvector matrix of A. Among them, Sm （A） is shown to have a torsion group structure under matrix multiplication if A has distinct eigenvalues and has non-denumerable cardinality otherwise. The constructive definition of Sm （A, X） allows one to generate all m-involutions commuting with a matrix with distinct eigenvalues. Some related results are also given for the class S,, （A） of m-involutions that anti-commute with a matrix A ∈ Cnn×n.

Shrinkage Behavior of High Performance Concrete at Different Elevated Temperatures under Different Sealing Conditions

The shrinkage behavior of high performance cement concrete made from Portland cement, ultra fine granulated blast furnace slag and pulverized fly ash with addition of superplasticizer at different temperatures from ambient temperature to 120 ℃ under different seuliug conditions was investigated by means of length change measurement on cylindrical concrete specimens along with curing age. Results show that drying shrinkage deformations of titled concrete specimens increased rapidly as the curing temperature rose. The development of dryiing shrinkage deformatian can be efficiently controlled with the aid of aluminum tape sealing as compared with the unsealed specimens, especially when the curing temperature is below 60℃ , although it will increase dramatically when the curing temperature is elevated to above 90%＂ . Polymer coating on concrete specimens showed a similar effect on the control of drying shrinkage as the sealing operation with aluminum tape.

＜正＞Background Some adult patients with atopic dermatitis（AD） with long disease period tend to show intractable scratching *** is a possibility that psychological factors may induce habitual scratching behavior or an obsessive/compulsive ritual *** this study,we examine how obsessive/compulsive scratching behavior impacts patients with AD. Methods We surveyed 79 patients with AD（female 68:male 11） ranging from 15 to 61 years old using the modified Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale（Y-BOCS） and a seven-question questionnaire for itching and scratching in daily *** disease severities of the patients rated as moderate（45） and severe（34）.The modified Y-BOCS contains eight items;Time occupied by impulse to scratch;Intensity of compulsion to scratch;Time occupied by scratching;Disturbance by scratching in work or daily life;Distress associated with scratching;Resistance against scratching;Degree of control over scratching;Degree of avoiding action by scratching. Results 31%) of the AD patients had an impulse to scratch from 3 to 8 hours and 5.6%over 8 hours.30%spent from 3 to 8 hours and 1.4%over 8 *** spite of efforts to stop scratching,44.3%felt difficulty controlling it.38.6%with little control were rarely successful in stopping or ignoring it,and 4.3%had no control at *** daily life,44.6%of the adults with AD scratched even without ***,habitual scratchers made up 67.8%and 50%could not stop it. Conclusion These results suggest that over one third of the adult patients with AD have obsessive /compulsive scratching behavior.
