The Russian Far East is a region between China and the Russian Arctic with a diverse climatological,geophysical,oceanic,and economical *** southern region is located in the Far East monsoon sector,while the northern parts are affected by the Arctic Ocean and cold air masses penetrating far to the *** economic activities and traffic connected to the China Belt and Road Initiative together with climate change are placing an increased pressure upon the Russian Far East *** is an urgent need to improve the capacity to measure the atmospheric and environmental pollution and analyze their sources and to quantify the relative roles of local and transported pollution emissions in the *** the paper,we characterize the current environmental and socio-economical landscape of the Russian Far East and summarize the future climate scenarios and identify the key regional research *** discuss the research infrastructure concept,which is needed to answer the identified research *** integrated observations,filling in the critical observational gap at the Northern Eurasian context,are required to provide state-of-the-art observations and enable follow-up procedures that support local,regional,and global decision making in the environmental context.

The Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road(B&R)aims at facilitating the twenty-first Century economic development of ***,climate change,air quality and related feedbacks are affecting the successful development of the environment and societies in the B&R geographical *** most urgent risks related to the atmospheric system,to the land system and to hydrospheric and cryospheric processes are changing climate-air quality interactions,air pollution,changing monsoon dynamics,land degradation,and the melting of Tibetan Plateau glaciers.A framework is needed in which a science and technology-based approach has the critical mass and expertise to identify the main steps toward solutions and is capable to implement this *** Pan-Eurasian Experiment(PEEX)program,initiated in 2012,aims to resolve science,technology and sustainability questions in the Northern Eurasian *** is now identifying its science agenda for the B&R *** fundamental element of the PEEX research agenda is the availability of comprehensive ground-based observations together with Earth observation *** complements the recently launched international scientific program called Digital Belt and Road(DBAR).PEEX has expertise to coordinate the ground-based observations and initiate new flagship stations,while DBAR provides a big data platform on Earth observation from China and countries along the Belt and Road *** DBAR and PEEX have joint interests and synergy expertise on monitoring on ecological environment,urbanization,cultural heritages,coastal zones,and arctic cold regions supporting the sustainable development of the Belt and Road *** this paper we identify the research themes of the PEEX related Silk Road agenda relevant to China and give an overview of the methodological requirements and present the infrastructure requirements needed to carry out large scale research program.

Is alcoholic pancreatitis associated with enteroviral infection?

AIM: To investigate whether enteroviral infection might trigger acute pancreatitis in patients made susceptible due to high alcohol consumption. METHODS: Patients with alcohol-induced acute pan-creatitis were analyzed for signs of simultaneous or preceding enteroviral infection. We studied the serum samples of 40 patients hospitalized for alcohol-induced acute pancreatitis and 40 controls recruited from an alcohol detoxification center. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect enterovirus RNA and diagnose acute viremia. Immuno-globulin G (IgG), immunoglobulin A (IgA) and immuno-globulin M (IgM) enteroviral antibodies were measured using enzyme immunoassay to detect subacute andprevious infections. The samples were considered posi-tive when the antibody titers were≥15 IU. Further-more, using RT-PCR, we studied pancreatic biopsy sam-ples obtained during surgery from nine patients with chronic pancreatitis, one patient with acute pancreatitis and ten control patients with pancreatic carcinoma for evidence of persisting enteroviral RNA in the pancreatic tissue. RESULTS: No enterovirus RNA indicating acute viremia was detected by RT-PCR in the serum samples of any patient or control. A high incidence of positive antibody titers was observed in both study groups: IgM antibod-ies had positive titers in 5/40 (13%) vs 4/40 (10%), P=0.723; IgG in 15/40 (38%) vs 19/40 (48%), P=0.366; and IgA in 25/40 (63%) vs 33/40 (83%), P=0.045, patients and controls, respectively. Ten (25%) patients had severe pancreatitis and two (5%) required treatment in intensive care. The median length of hos-pitalization was 7 d (range: 3-47 d). The severity of acute pancreatitis or the length of hospitalization was not associated with enteroviral IgM, IgG or IgA anti-bodies. Extensive plasma potential measurements have been carried out using a device developed at JYFL. Studies examining the inheritance of inflammatory bowel disease （IBD） within different family groups have been the basis for recent molecular advances in the genetics of IBD. The derived heritability in Crohn＇s disease （CD） is higher than in many other complex diseases. The risk of IBD is highest in first-degree relatives of a CD proband, but first-degree relatives of a proband suffering from ulcerative colitis （UC） and more distant relatives are also at increased risk. Disease concordance rates in IBD have been examined in multiplex families and in three large European twin studies.

Background: Occupational burnout is associated with diminished psychological flexibility and higher emotional (EE) and uncontrolled eating (UE). Psychological flexibility could be a mediating factor between burnout and eating behaviour. Objectives: To investigate differences in eating behaviour between those with different levels of psychological flexibility, and the association of the interaction between psychological flexibility and occupational burnout with eating behaviour. Design: The participants were working women (n = 263), who took part in the randomized controlled health intervention trial. Analyses were performed in a cross-sectional setting at baseline. Methods: Eating behaviour was measured using the Three Factor Eating Behaviour Questionnaire-18 [which evaluates EE, UE and cognitive restraint (CR)], psychological flexibility using Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II and occupational burnout using Bergen Burnout Indicator-15. Participants were divided into four groups based on the quartile points of psychological flexibility. Results: The EE of those who were inflexible was higher than that of those whose flexibility was high moderate (p = 0.013) and who were flexible (p = 0.001). The UE of those who were inflexible was higher than the UE in the other groups with higher flexibility [low moderate (p = 0.034), high moderate (p een occupational burnout and EE and UE. Multivariate analysis of variances revealed that the combination of psychological flexibility and burnout had a stronger association with the variances of EE and UE than psychological flexibility alone. Conclusions: Persons who are psychologically inflexible have higher EE and UE. Future studies should investigate if increasing psychological flexibility helps decrease EE and UE.

SARS-CoV-2病毒侵袭细胞的分子机制已被初步探索,但关于其如何调节亚细胞结构重塑从而侵袭多种器官及细胞类型尚不清楚.本文利用活细胞实时成像技术揭示了SARS-CoV-2病毒颗粒通过宿主细胞丝状伪足进入靶细胞的动态过程.利用荧光标记的SARS-CoV-2病毒样颗粒(VLP)和稀疏去卷积算法成像技术,发现VLP利用丝状伪足以“冲浪”和“抓取”两种模式到达入侵点,以避免病毒在细胞膜上随机搜索入侵位点,此外,结合力学模拟实验,阐明了病毒诱导丝状伪足的形成和丝状伪足的回缩速度分别取决于细胞骨架动力学和病毒重力引起的底物表面摩擦阻力.进一步研究发现SARS-CoV-2通过丝状伪足进入细胞的过程依赖于小G蛋白Cdc42(细胞分裂周期蛋白42)活性和肌动蛋白相关蛋白fasin(肌动蛋白结合蛋白)、formin(成核蛋白)和Arp2/3(肌动蛋白相关蛋白2/3复合物).综上所述,本文结果强调了SARS-CoV-2感染能对宿主细胞的微丝骨架进行时空调节,使细胞形成丝状伪足作为病毒进入的“高速轨道”,丝状伪足形成相关蛋白及其信号通路可作为潜在的抗病毒靶标.

炎症性肠病候补基因TRAF6的筛查

Objective. The two forms of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), are thought to arise because of an interplay of unfavorable genetic and exogenous factors. During a genome-wide linkage study of IBD, we observed a nominal linkage to chromosome 11p12-q13 that was further confirmed upon fine density mapping. This chromosomal region contains a functional IBD candidate gene coding for tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6(TRAF6), a signal transducer regulating innate and adaptive immunity as well as bone homeostasis. Material and methods. Using denaturing high-performance liquid chromatography (dHPLC) and DNA sequencing, all exons and exon-intron boundaries of the TRAF6 gene in probands of 95 IBD families were initially screened; this material comprised 20 CD, 39 UC and 36 mixed families. Results. No nucleotide changes in the coding sequence of TRAF6 were detected, but a single-base insertion/deletion polymorphism in a polythymine stretch (containing 8 or 7 thymines, respectively) in intron 3 was identified. However, examination of an extended material of 290 unrelated CD patients, 416 UC patients and 320 healthy blood donors failed to show any association with this 7T/8T variation and IBD, nor was this polymorphism related to specific clinical features in IBD. Conclusions. Our study tends to exclude a good positional and functional candidate gene, TRAF6, as an IBD predisposing gene and lends support to the idea that the function of TRAF6 is important enough not to permit structural alterations of this mediator.
