In order to study the role of the new technological concept of shared experiences in the digital interactive experience of cultural heritage and apply it to the digital interactive experience of cultural heritage to solve the current problems in this field,starting from the mixed reality(MR) technology that the shared experiences rely on,proper software and hardware platforms were investigated and selected,a universal shared experiences solution was designed,and an experimental project based on the proposed solution was made to verify its feasibility.In the end,a proven and workable shared experiences solution was obtained.This solution included a proposed MR spatial alignment method,and it integrated the existing MR content production process and standard network synchronization functions.Furthermore,it is concluded that the introduction and reasonable use of new technologies can help the development of the digital interactive experience of cultural heritage.The shared experiences solution for the digital interactive experience of cultural heritage balances investment issues in the exhibition,display effect,and user experience.It can speed up the promotion of cultural heritage and bring the vitality of MR technology to relevant projects.

This paper presents a discrete-time attitude control strategy with equi-global practical stabilizability for aligning the attitude of multiple spacecraft to a predesigned configuration according to a time-variant reference.By utilizing the interference of the wireless channel,the communication scheme designed in this paper can save communication resources,amount of computation,and energy proportionally to the number of spacecraft.The exact discrete-time model and approximate discrete-time model of the consensus-based spacecraft tracking system are given.Then the framework for the design of an event-triggered control scheme for the exact discrete-time system via its approximate models is developed,which avoids the periodic actuation,and Zeno behavior is proved to be excluded.Furthermore,the control scheme can handle the presence of the unknown fading channel.Finally,simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the control strategy.

Valproic acid enhances neurosphere formation in cultured rat embryonic cortical cells through TGFβ1 signaling

This study aimed to investigate the effect and mechanism of valproic acid(VPA)on the neurosphere formation in rat embryonic cortical cells.We used free-floating neurosphere formation as a model system to evaluate the VPA on the proliferation of neural stem cells(NSCs).We found a time-and dose-dependent increase in neurosphere formation and NSC proliferation after VPA treatment.Further RNA-seq analysis demonstrated that the upregulated TGFβ1 signaling might attribute to the effect of VPA on the neurosphere formation and NSC proliferation.Consistently,the neurosphere formation and NSC proliferation were blocked by the treatment with SB431542,an inhibitor of TGFβ1 receptor.Moreover,in a coculture system,NSCs treated with VPA significantly reduced the oxygen-glucose deprivation-induced neuronal apoptosis.Taken together,our results showed that VPA could enhance neurosphere formation and NSC proliferation by activating TGFβ1,which might be a novel therapeutic strategy for neurological disorders.

To address the stability of solar thermal power generation system which is characterized by the presence of random and strong disturbance,a multi-model active fault-tolerant controller is designed in this paper.Actually measured data is used to make fuzzy clustering,then multi-model of the collector subsystem is established through recursive least square method.A switching strategy based on the minimum cumulative error is applied to select the optimal control model online.In order to reduce the error caused by missing data,fault and strong disturbance in the process of building the multi-model,the adaptive prediction model of solar collector system is established.Active fault tolerant sliding mode predictive controller is designed to improve the tracking accuracy and robustness of the output.Finally,the validity and advantage of the proposed algorithm are verified.

A fault-tolerant circuit is required for robust quantum computing in the presence of noise.Clifford+T circuits are widely used in fault-tolerant implementations.As a result,reducing T-depth,T-count,and circuit width has emerged as important optimization goals.A measure-and-fixup approach yields the best T-count for arithmetic operations,but it requires quantum measurements.This paper proposes approximate Toffoli,TR,Peres,and Fredkin gates with optimized T-depth and T-count.Following that,we implement basic arithmetic operations such as quantum modular adder and subtractor using approximate gates that do not require quantum measurements.Then,taking into account the circuit width,T-depth,and T-count,we design and optimize the circuits of two multipliers and a divider.According to the comparative analysis,the proposed multiplier and divider circuits have lower circuit width,T-depth,and T-count than the current works that do not use the measure-and-fixup approach.Significantly,the proposed second multiplier produces approximately 77%T-depth,60%T-count,and 25%width reductions when compared to the existing multipliers without quantum measurements.

Protein–protein interactions(PPIs)have pivotal roles in life processes.The studies showed that aberrant PPIs are associated with various diseases,including cancer,infectious diseases,and neurodegenerative diseases.Therefore,targeting PPIs is a direction in treating diseases and an essential strategy for the development of new drugs.In the past few decades,the modulation of PPIs has been recognized as one of the most challenging drug discovery tasks.In recent years,some PPIs modulators have entered clinical studies,some of which been approved for marketing,indicating that the modulators targeting PPIs have broad prospects.Here,we summarize the recent advances in PPIs modulators,including small molecules,peptides,and antibodies,hoping to provide some guidance to the design of novel drugs targeting PPIs in the future.

Economical Optimization of Grid Power Factor Using Predictive Data

We present an electrical grid optimization method for economical benefit. After simplifying an IEEE feeder diagram, we build a compact smart grid system including a photovoltaic-inverter system, a shunt capacitor, an on-load tapchanger(OLTC) and transmission lines. The system power factor(PF) regulation and reactive power dispatching are indispensable to improve power quality. Our control method uses predictive weather and load data to decide engaging or tripping the shunt capacitor, or reactive power injection by the photovoltaic-inverter system, ultimately to keep the system PF in a good range. From the perspective of economics, the economical model is considered as a decision maker in our predictive data control method.Capacitor-only control strategy is a common photovoltaic(PV)regulation method, which is treated as a baseline case. Simulations with GridLAB-D on profiled loads and residential loads have been carried out. The comparison results with baseline control strategy and our predictive data control method show the appreciable economical benefit of our method.

Anchor-based manifold binary pattern for finger vein recognition

This paper proposes a novel learning method of binary local features for recognition of the finger vein. The learning methods existing in local features for image recognition intend to maximize the data variance, reduce quantitative errors, exploit the contextual information within each binary code, or utilize the label information, which all ignore the local manifold structure of the original data. The manifold structure actually plays a very important role in binary code learning, but constructing a similarity matrix for large-scale datasets involves a lot of computational and storage cost. The study attempts to learn a map, which can preserve the manifold structure between the original data and the learned binary codes for large-scale situations. To achieve this goal, we present a learning method using an anchor-based manifold binary pattern(AMBP) for finger vein recognition. Specifically, we first extract the pixel difference vectors(PDVs) in the local patches by calculating the differences between each pixel and its neighbors. Second,we construct an asymmetric graph, on which each data point can be a linear combination of its K-nearest neighbor anchors, and the anchors are randomly selected from the training samples. Third, a feature map is learned to project these PDVs into low-dimensional binary codes in an unsupervised manner, where(i) the quantization loss between the original real-valued vectors and learned binary codes is minimized and(ii) the manifold structure of the training data is maintained in the binary space. Additionally, the study fuses the discriminative binary descriptor and AMBP methods at the image representation level to further boost the performance of the recognition system. Finally, experiments using the MLA and PolyU databases show the effectiveness of our proposed methods.

Developing the QSPR model for predicting the storage lipid/water distribution coefficient of organic compounds

The distribution of organic compounds in stored lipids affects their migration,transformation,bioaccumulation,and toxicity in organisms.The storage lipid/water distribution coefficient(log K_(lip/w))of organic chemicals,which quantitatively determines such distribution,has become a key parameter to assist their ecological security and health risk.Due to the impossibility to measure K_(lip/w)values for a huge amount of chemicals,it is necessary to develop predictive approaches.In this work,a quantitative structure-property relationship(QSPR)model for estimating log K_(lip/w)values of small organic compounds was constructed based on 305 experimental log K_(lip/w)values.Quantum chemical descriptors and n-octanol/water partitioning coefficient were employed to characterize the intermolecular interactions that dominate log K_(lip/w)values.The hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions and molecular size have been found to play important roles in governing the distribution of chemicals between lipids and aqueous phases.The regression(R2=0.959)and validation(Q2=0.960)results indicate good fitting performance and robustness of the developed model.A comparison with the predictive performance of other commercial software further proves the higher accuracy and stronger predictive ability of the developed K_(lip/w)predictive model.Thus,it can be used to predict the K_(lip/w)values of cycloalkanes,long-chain alkanes,halides(with fluorine,chlorine,and bromine as substituents),esters(without phosphate groups),alcohols(without methoxy groups),and aromatic compounds.
