Elaborating strengthen mechanism of Pt-Ir solid solution superalloy at finite temperature

Pt-Ir alloy is potential superalloys used above 1300℃because of their high strength and creep ***,the ductility of Pt-Ir alloy has rapidly deteriorated with the increase of Ir,resulting in poor *** work quantitatively evaluated the solid solution strengthening(SSS)and grain refinement strengthening(GRS)of Pt-Ir alloy using first-principles calculations combined with experimental ***,the stretching force constants in the second nearest neighbor region(SFC^(2nd))of pure Ir(193.7 eV·nm^(-2))are 3.40 times that of pure Pt(57.0 eV·nm^(-2)),i.e.,the interatomic interaction is greatly enhanced with the increase of Ir content,which leads to the decrease of ductility,and modulus misfit plays a dominant role in ***,the physical mechanisms responsible for the hardness(h_(V))of Pt-Ir alloy,using the power-law-scaled function of electron work function coupled SSS and GRS,are attributed to the electron redistribution caused by different Ir ***,a thorough assessment of the thermodynamic characteristics of Pt-Ir binary alloy was conducted,culminating in development of a mapping model that effectively relates enmposition,temperature and *** results revealed that the compressive strength incrcases with the Ir content,and the highest strength was observed in Pt_(0.25)Ir_(0.75).This study provides valuable insights into the Pt-Ir alloy system.

Aqueous Zn-ion batteries(AZIBs) have emerged as potential candidates for Li-ion batteries due to their intrinsic safety and high ***,metallic Zn anodes encounter dendrite growth and water-induced corrosion,rendering poor stability and severe irreversibility at the electrode/electrolyte interface during *** stabilize the Zn anode,we report a low-cost and effective nonionic surfactant,Tween-20 polymer,as an electrolyte additive for *** Tween-20,sequential oxyethylene groups tended to be preferentially adsorbed on the Zn electrode to form a shielding layer for regulating uniform Zn ***,the hydrophobic hendecyl chains prevented h_(2)O-induced corrosion on the Zn anode *** from the desired functional groups,when only trace amounts of Tween-20(0.050 g·L^(-1)) were used,the Zn anode displayed good cycling stability over 2170 h at10 mA·cm^(-2) and a high average Coulombic efficiency of98.94% over 1000 *** Tween-20 polymer can also be effectively employed in MnO_(2)/Zn full *** their toxicity,price and amount of usage,these surfactant additives provide a promising strategy for realizing the stability and reversibility of high-performance Zn anodes.

Ti-based catalysts are known to improve the hydrogen storage performance of NaAlh4by facilitating the dissociation/recombination of h-h and Al-h *** catalytic activity of metallic Ti species strongly depends on its particle size and *** clusters and even single atoms are therefore highly desirable,but their controllable fabrication has been highly *** rein,we demonstrate a novel facile sonochemical synthesis of a Ti-O clusters featuring single Ti atom catalyst at room *** reducing TiCl_(4)by MgBu_(2)with ultrasound instead of heating as driving force,numerous single Ti atoms coupled with Ti-O clusters with Ti loading on graphene(Ti_(1)/Ti-O@G)up to 22.6 wt%have been successfully *** prepared Ti_(1)/Ti-O@G contributes high reactivity and superior catalytic activity,therefore enabling full dehydrogenation of NaAlh_(4)at 80℃in thermogravimetric mode and re-hydrogenation at 30℃and 10 MPa with 4.9 wt% h_(2).This fact indicates for the first time that single Ti atom catalyst with high loading is highly effective in catalyzing hydrogen cycling of NaAlh4at remarkably reduced temperatures.

highly crystalline organic semiconductors are ideal materials for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution in water ***,the instability and complex synthesis processes of most reported organic molecule-based photocatalysts restrict their *** this study,we introduce benzo[1,2-b:4,5-bʹ]bis[1]benzothiophene-3,9-dicarboxylic acid,5,5,11,11-tetraoxide(FSOCA),a highly crystalline,stable molecular crystal that is easy to synthesize and serves as an efficient photocatalyst for the hydrogen evolution *** exhibits high efficiency in sacrificial hydrogen evolution reaction(760μmol h^(−1),76 mmol g^(−1)h^(−1)at 330 mW cm^(−2);570μmol h^(−1),57 mmol g^(−1)h^(−1)at 250 mW cm^(−2)),and FSOCA remains stable during photocatalysis for up to 400 *** and theoretical studies confirmed the presence of hydrogen bonds between the sulfone group and the sacrificial agent(ascorbic acid).This interaction significantly improved the oxidation reaction kinetics and boosted the photocatalytic *** study presents a scalable and convenient approach to synthesize highly crystalline,active,and stable organic photocatalysts with potential applications in large-scale photocatalysis.

This paper considers the class of autonomous algebraic ordinary differential equations(AODEs)of order one,and studies their Liouvillian general *** particular,let F(y,w)=0 be a rational algebraic curve over *** authors give necessary and sufficient conditions for the autonomous first-order AODE F(y,y′)=0 to have a Liouvillian solution over ***,the authors show that a Liouvillian solutionαof this equation is either an algebraic function over C(x)or an algebraic function over C(exp(ax)).As a byproduct,these results lead to an algorithm for determining a Liouvillian general solution of an autonomous AODE of order one of genus *** parametrizations of rational algebraic curves play an important role on this method.

Free radicals trigger the closure of open pores in lignin-derived hard carbons toward improved sodium-storage capacity

The chemical activation of various precursors is effective for creating additional closed pores in hard carbons for sodium ***,the formation mechanism of closed pores under the influence of pore-forming agents is not well ***,an effective chemical activation followed by a high-temperature self-healing strategy is employed to generate interconnected closed pores in lignin-derived hard carbon(hCs).By systematic experimental design combined with electron paramagnetic res-onance spectroscopy,it can be found that the content of free radicals in the carbon matrix influences the closure of open pores at high *** high activation temperature(>700 C)leads to a low free radical concentration,making it difficult to achieve self-healing of open pores at high *** activation at 700°C,a balance between pore making and self-healing is achieved in the final hard carbon.A large number of free radicals triggers rapid growth and aggregation of carbon microcrys-tals,blocking pre-formed open micropores and creating additional interconnected closed pores in as-obtained hard *** a result,the optimized carbon anode(LK-700-1300)delivers a high reversible capacity of 330.8 mA h g^(-1) at 0.03 A g^(-1),which is an increase of 86 mA h g^(-1) compared to the pristine lignin-derived carbon anode(L-700-1300),and exhibits a good rate performance(202.1 mA h g^(-1) at 1 A g^(-1)).This work provides a universal and effective guidance for tuning closed pores of hard carbons from otherprecursors.

Assessment by microsatellite analysis of genetic diversity and population structure of Enhalus acoroides from the coast of Khanh hoa Province, Vietnam

Seagrass beds degraded significantly since the last century on both, global and local scale. The seagrass species Enhalus acoroides(Linnaeus f.) Royle is a common species found in almost all marine ecosystems including bays,lagoons and around offshore islands in tropical regions of the West Pacific. It was shown that genetic diversity is an essential indicator of the conditions of ecosystems. In the present study, microsatellite markers were used to assess the genetic diversity and population structure of six distinct seagrass beds along the coast of the Khanh hoa Province, Vietnam. The results indicate that the genetic diversity of the populations in the open sea is higher than in the lagoon. Seagrass beds occurring in disturbed sites show reduced genetic diversity. The fixing index value(FST) depicts a relatively high genetic structure among populations. Structure analysis clusters the populations into open sea and lagoon populations and cluster analysis and AMOVA indicate a significant difference between the two groups. There are low but non-significant positive correlations between geographic and genetic *** different habitats of the open sea and the lagoon are probably responsible for forming two groups.

Analysis and control of vibration of ropes in a high-rise elevator under earthquake excitation

In this research, the vibration of elevator ropes, including the main rope and compensation rope are investigated simultaneously in a high-rise elevator system under earthquake excitation. Moreover, the paper presents a new control method to restrain the sway of both ropes. This study considers varying rope lengths during elevator operation which cause other system parameters such as natural frequency, and damping ratio to be time-variant variables. The dynamics of the ropes are analyzed by solving the governing non-stationary, nonlinear equation numerically. In order to mitigate the vibration of ropes in several motion conditions, particularly upwards movement, downward movement, stopped at the lowest position, and stopped at the highest position, an active equipment is installed at the compensation sheave. The stability of the system using the controller is analyzed at four states: without disturbance and static car, without disturbance and mobile car, including disturbance and static car, and including disturbance and mobile car. The efficiency of the controller used for dampening the vibration of elevator ropes is validated by numerical simulation results.
