Potassium ion hybrid capacitors(PIHC)have promising applications in medium and large-scale energy storage systems due to their high energy/power density,abundant potassium resource and low ***,the slow kinetics of battery-type anodes originating from the large-size K+results in a mismatch between the two electrodes,rendering the modest energy density of ***,we first develop an electrospinning strategy to successfully synthesize fibrous precursor by using the HNO_(3)pre-oxidized low-softening-point coal pitch as the low-cost raw *** further carbonization or KOH activation,the two types of carbon nanofibers(CNF)are fabricated as anode and cathode materials,respectively,towards the dual-carbon PIHC *** to its threedimensional interconnected porous conducting network and large layer spacing,the resulted CNF anode material is endowed with high reversible capacities,excellent rate and long cycle ***,the activated CNF cathode with a large surface area of 2169 m^(2)·g^(-1)exhibits excellent capacitive performance.A PIHC constructed with the two fibrous electrodes delivers an energy density of110.0 Wh·kg^(-1)at 200.0 W kg^(-1),along with a capacitance retention of 83.5%after 10,000 cycles at 1.0 A·g^(-1).The contribution here provides a cost-efficiency avenue and platform for advanced dual-carbon PIHC.

The current petroleum chemical methods for fumaric acid production can cause heavy pollution and global *** this study,the engineered strains of *** *** were found to be suitable for green fumaric acid *** and complementation of the relevant genes showed only the ornithine-urea cycle(OUC)was involved in high level fumarate biosynthesis which was controlled by the Ca^(2+)signaling *** of both the GOX gene encoding glucose oxidase and the PKS1 gene encoding the polyketide synthase for 3,5-dihydroxydecanoic acid biosynthesis and overexpression of the PYC gene encoding pyruvate carboxylase made the strain e-PYC produce 88.1±4.3 g/L of fumarate at flask level and 93.9±0.8 g/L of fumarate during the fed-batch *** a yeast-like fungal strain,it was very easy to cultivate *** *** DH177 and their mutants in the bioreactor and to edit its genomic DNAs to enhance fumarate *** was found that 2 mol of CO_(2) could be fixed during a maximal theoretical yield of 2 mol of fumarate per mole of glucose consumed in the ***,the OUC-mediated fumarate biosynthesis pathway in *** *** was a green and eco-friendly process for the global sustainable development and carbon neutrality.

Monitoring expression at the transcriptional level is the first essential step for the functional analysis of plant genes. Genes-encoding proteins directly involved in early response to elicitor constitute only a small fraction of all the genes affected by elicitor. Transcriptional responses to various elicitors have been extensively studied in different plants including Nicotiana and Arabidopsis thaliana; however, corresponding data aren＇t available for non-heading Chinese cabbage. To address this problem, we describe a suppression subtractive library-based approach to isolate the plant＇s ESTs up-regulated in the early induction/execution of the HR induced by elicitor PB90 from Phytophthora boehmeriae. According to their putative identification in BLAST searches against the three genome databases, 70 up-regulated genes were classified into 9 parts： some aspect of primary ＇metabolism＇ or ＇energy＇ production; ＇protein synthesis＇ or ＇protein fate＇; cellular communication/signal transduction mechanism; cell fates including Beclin, SPT1, and SPT2; HLA-B and AGO1 which participate in transcription; cellular transport and hypothetical proteins or proteins for which a function has yet to be determined. Seven selected genes such as Beclin, thioredoxin, HLA-B, MAP3K, SPT1, SPT2, and AGO1 were up-regulated induced by PB90, suggesting that the genes may play an important role in PB90-triggered HR.

Insect herbivory is ubiquitous in various ecosystems,and directly influences the growth and survival of individual plants,especially during their vulnerable early life stages like the seedling ***,in turn,exerts a significant influence on forest community diversity and structure,as well as ecosystem function and *** variation in herbivory has been detected both among and within plant *** decades,many hypotheses have been proposed to explain such variations,including both biotic and abiotic ***,most studies have considered only one or several of these hypotheses by focusing on a few potential variables,and their results were usually inconsistent;thus,the factors driving herbivory remain *** this study,we examined leaf herbivory by insects of woody species seedlings in a subtropical forest in southwestern China over two *** total,24 potential variables that represented abiotic resource availability,characters of individual seedlings,conspecific and heterospecific species,and the whole seedling community were selected to test several commonly discussed alternative herbivory ***,our findings showed that the plant apparency hypothesis was more supported than the other hypotheses in explaining insect seedling *** results further indicated that the mechanisms and causes of insect herbivory are complex,multifactorial,species-specific and vary with seasons,indicating that there may be no uniform rules in explaining herbivory for all ***,such complexity may play an important role in promoting species coexistence and biodiversity maintenance in seedling communities,which may further translate into the following generation of saplings or even adult *** in the community of insect herbivores and/or variables influencing insect herbivory,may disrupt stability of the original seedling community,thus affecting the regeneration and development of the entire forest comm

Lake Baiyangdian is one of China’s largest macrophyte-derived lakes,facing severe challenges related to water quality maintenance and eutrophication *** organic matter(DOM)was a huge carbon pool and its abundance,property,and transformation played important roles in the biogeochemical cycle and energy flow in lake *** this study,Lake Baiyangdian was divided into four distinct areas:Unartificial Area(UA),Village Area(VA),Tourism Area(TA),and Breeding Area(BA).We examined the diversity of DOM properties and sources across these functional *** findings reveal that DOM in this lake is predominantly composed of protein-like substances,as determined by excitation-emission matrix and parallel factor analysis(EEM-PARAFAC).Notably,the exogenous tyrosine-like component C1 showed a stronger presence in VA and BA compared to UA and ***-resolution mass spectrometry(FT-ICR MS)unveiled a similar DOM molecular composition pattern across different functional areas due to the high relative abundances of lignan compounds,suggesting that macrophytes significantly influence the material structure of *** properties exhibited specific associations with water quality indicators in various functional areas,as indicated by the Mantel *** connections between DOM properties and NO_(3)-N andNH3-Nwere more pronounced in VA and BA than in UA and *** results underscore the viability of using DOM as an indicator for more precise and scientific water quality management.

Neoichnological characterization of modern depositional settings addresses the response of benthic animals to ecological conditions and their fluctuations, usually on a relatively short time scale. In this way, analogue models for interpretation of sedimentary strata in the geological record can be *** japonicus(De Haan, 1835), a crab, is commonly found in the Pearl River Delta front of southern China. The burrows of M. japonicus are vertical or inclined, I-, U-, Y-, J-and L-shaped tubes, and these are imaged in 7.5-cm-diameter sediment cores. The cores were studied by X-ray radiography, computed tomography, and VG Studio MAX reconstruction to obtain three-dimensional images for elaborate morphological study. This crab's burrows are analogous to the trace fossil Psilonichnus. Several environmental parameters, i.e., sediment grain size and its total organic carbon(TOC) content, and turbidity and salinity of water, have been measured. The results indicated that M. japonicus prefers to live in mesohaline water with turbidity levels of 20-170 NTU, where bioturbation is more abundant. It prefers to occur in mud and silty sand substrates, with TOC content decreasing as particle size increases. The sedimentary environment, grain size and ichnofacies of analogical trace fossils Psilonichnus are discussed which supports the interpretation that Psilonichnus is a good indicator of delta front environments.

Correlation between the rock mass properties and maximum horizontal stress:A case study of overcoring stress measurements

Understanding the mechanical properties of the lithologies is crucial to accurately determine the horizontal stress *** investigate the correlation between the rock mass properties and maximum horizontal stress,the three-dimensional(3D)stress tensors at 89 measuring points determined using an improved overcoring technique in nine mines in China were adopted,a newly defined characteristic parameter C_(ERP)was proposed as an indicator for evaluating the structural properties of rock masses,and a fuzzy relation matrix was established using the information distribution *** results indicate that both the vertical stress and horizontal stress exhibit a good linear growth relationship with *** is no remarkable correlation between the elastic modulus,Poisson's ratio and depth,and the distribution of data points is scattered and ***,there is no obvious relationship between the rock quality designation(RQD)and *** maximum horizontal stress σ_(H) is a function of rock properties,showing a certain linear relationship with the C_(ERP)at the same *** addition,the overall change trend of σ_(H) determined by the established fuzzy identification method is to increase with the increase of C_(ERP).The fuzzy identification method also demonstrates a relatively detailed local relationship betweenσ_H and C_(ERP),and the predicted curve rises in a fluctuating way,which is in accord well with the measured stress data.
