Effective containment of the COVID-19 pandemic requires rapid and accurate detection of the *** chain reaction(PCR)remains the gold standard for COVID-19 *** this article,we report the performance of a cost-effective modular microfluidic reverse transcription(RT)-PCR and RT-loop mediated isothermal amplification(RTLAMP)platform,Epidax®,for the point-of-care testing and confirmation of *** platform is versatile and can be reconfigured either for screening using endpoint RT-PCR or RT-LAMP tests or for confirmatory tests using realtime ***®is highly sensitive and detects as little as 1 RNA copy perµL for real-time and endpoint RT-PCR,while using only half of the *** achieved comparable results with those of a commercial platform when detecting SARS-CoV-2 viruses from 81 clinical RNA ***®can also detect SARS-CoV-2 from 44 nasopharyngeal samples without RNA extraction by using a direct RT-PCR assay,which shortens the sample-to-answer time to an hour with minimal user ***,we validated the technology using an RT-LAMP assay on 54 clinical RNA ***,our platform provides a sensitive,cost-effective,and accurate diagnostic solution for lowresource settings.

Efficient and accurate health state estimation is crucial for lithium-ion battery(LIB)performance monitoring and economic *** estimating the health state of LIBs online is the key but is also the most difficult task for energy storage *** high adaptability and applicability advantages,battery health state estimation based on data-driven techniques has attracted extensive attention from researchers around the *** neural network(ANN)-based methods are often used for state estimations of *** one of the ANN methods,the Elman neural network(ENN)model has been improved to estimate the battery state more efficiently and *** this paper,an improved ENN estimation method based on electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and cuckoo search(CS)is established as the EIS-CS-ENN model to estimate the health state of ***,the paper conducts a critical review of various ANN models against the EIS-CS-ENN *** demonstrates that the EIS-CS-ENN model outperforms other *** review also proves that,under the same conditions,selecting appropriate health indicators(HIs)according to the mathematical modeling ability and state requirements are the keys in estimating the health state *** the calculation process,several evaluation indicators are adopted to analyze and compare the modeling accuracy with other existing *** the analysis of the evaluation results and the selection of HIs,conclusions and suggestions are put ***,the robustness of the EIS-CS-ENN model for the health state estimation of LIBs is verified.

Quality of epitaxial films strongly depends on their structural and chemical match with the substrates:The more closely they match,the better the film quality *** insulators(Tl)such as Bi2Se3 thin films are of no ***,there do not exist commercial substrates that match with Tl films both structurally and chemically,at the level commonly available for other electronic ***,we introduce BilnSe3 bulk crystal as the best substrate for Bi2Se3 thin *** films exhibit superior surface morphology,lower defect density and higher Hall mobility than those on other substrates,due to structural and chemical match provided by the BilnSe3 ***3 substrate could accelerate the advance of Tl research and applications.

Surface superconductivity in the type Ⅱ Weyl semimetal TaIrTe4

The search for unconventional superconductivity in Weyl semimetal materials is currently an exciting pursuit, since such superconducting phases could potentially be topologically non-trivial and host exotic Majorana modes. The layered material TaIrTe4is a newly predicted time-reversal invariant type Ⅱ Weyl semimetal with the minimum number of Weyl points. Here, we report the discovery of surface superconductivity in Weyl semimetal Ta Ir Te4. Our scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy(STM/STS) visualizes Fermi arc surface states of TaIrTe4that are consistent with the previous angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy results. By a systematic study based on STS at ultralow temperature, we observe uniform superconducting gaps on the sample surface. The superconductivity is further confirmed by electrical transport measurements at ultralow temperature, with an onset transition temperature(Tc) up to 1.54 K being observed. The normalized upper critical field h*(T/Tc) behavior and the stability of the superconductivity against the ferromagnet indicate that the discovered superconductivity is unconventional with the p-wave pairing. The systematic STS, and thickness-and angular-dependent transport measurements reveal that the detected superconductivity is quasi-1 D and occurs in the surface states. The discovery of the surface superconductivity in TaIrTe4provides a new novel platform to explore topological superconductivity and Majorana modes.

High-efficiency somatic embryogenesis and morphohistology and histochemistry of somatic embryo development in Larix leptolepis gordon

A high-efficiency somatic embryogenesis protocol of Japanese larch （Larix leptolepis gordon） has been established in our investigation. Calli were induced from immature zygotic embryos of female cones ofL. leptolepis and then subcultured regularly on to a modified Gupta and Durzan （DCR） basal medium for 5 years. Embryogenic tissues showed distinct morphological changes dur- ing somatic embryo development when they were transferred to a maturation medium supplemented with abscisic acid （ABA） com- pared with the morphology in a medium lacking ABA. Histological observations indicated that polyembryony was a characteristic feature during early embryogeny and somatic embryos at later stages showed normal histodifferentiation. In addition, histochemical analysis revealed that abundant starch granules and proteins accumulated in mature embryos, indicating that they played important roles in the development and regeneration of normal plantlets from somatic embryos on hormone-free germination media

为了检测室内3D场景中的门窗信息,提出一种3D-2D-3D的门窗检测算法.首先在3D室内场景点云模型中多角度旋转拍照,获取点云的2D图像;然后对2D图像进行门窗目标的粗检测,得到门窗在图像中的大致范围,并将此2D信息返回到3D点云数据中,得到包含门窗的局部点云数据;最后提取局部点云数据的轮廓线及其交点,通过优化得到门窗特征角点的位置信息.实验结果表明,采用这种“整体-局部”策略的算法能有效地检测出3D室内场景中门窗的位置信息.
