The design and synthesis of novel photocatalyst with self-temperature control function is an important topic in the field of advanced environmental functional *** this work,submicron-sized magnetic phase change microcapsules composed of paraffin core and Fe_(3)O_(4)-loaded silica shell are prepared,on which the Bi_(2)WO_(6)crystals is grown in situ through hydrothermal reaction to obtain novel magnetic phase-change-microcapsule-supported Bi_(2)WO_(6)catalyst(MP@FS/BWO).The MP@FS/BWO has a paraffin encapsulation ratio of 57.1%,and the phase change enthalpy of 105.1 j/g in a temperature range of 50–60℃,which endows the MP@FS/BWO with a certain self-temperature regulation ***@FS/BWO shows excellent catalytic performance in the decomposition of rhodamine B under the simulated sunlight *** the light source is turned off,it still has good catalytic ability by maintaining high temperature due to its temperature control function based on the phase transition *** MP@FS/BWO can be easily recycled by magnetic separation and shows good structural stability and *** work provides a new idea for the development of long-effect and energy-saving outdoor photocatalysts.

We propose and numerically demonstrate a photonic computing primitive designed for integrated spiking neural networks (SNNs) based on add-drop ring microresonators (ADRMRs) and electrically reconfigurable phasechange material (PCM) photonic switches. In this neuromorphic system, the passive silicon-based ADRMR,equipped with a power-tunable auxiliary light, effectively demonstrates nonlinearity-induced dual neural dynamics encompassing spiking response and synaptic plasticity that can generate single-wavelength optical neural spikes with synaptic weight. By cascading these ADRMRs with different resonant wavelengths, weighted multiple-wavelength spikes can be feasibly output from the ADRMR-based hardware arrays when external wavelengthaddressable optical pulses are injected;subsequently, the cumulative power of these weighted output spikes is utilized to ascertain the activation status of the reconfigurable PCM photonic switches. Moreover, the reconfigurable mechanism driving the interconversion of the PCMs between the resonant-bonded crystalline states and the covalent-bonded amorphous states is achieved through precise thermal modulation. Drawing from the thermal properties, an innovative thermodynamic leaky integrate-and-firing (TLIF) neuron system is proposed. With the TLIF neuron system as the fundamental unit, a fully connected SNN is constructed to complete a classic deep learning task:the recognition of handwritten digit patterns. The simulation results reveal that the exemplary SNN can effectively recognize 10 numbers directly in the optical domain by employing the surrogate gradient algorithm. The theoretical verification of our architecture paves a whole new path for integrated photonic SNNs, with the potential to advance the field of neuromorphic photonic systems and enable more efficient spiking information processing.

Two-dimensional (2D) materials exhibit exceptionally strong nonlinear optical responses, benefiting from their reduced dimensionality, relaxed phase-matching requirements, and enhanced light-matter interaction. With additional degrees of freedom in the modulation of the physical properties by stacking 2D layers together, nonlinear optics of 2D heterostructures becomes increasingly fascinating. In this perspective, we provide a brief overview of recent advances in the field of nonlinear optics of 2D heterostructures, with a particular focus on their remarkable capabilities in characterization and modulation. Given the recent advances and the emergence of novel heterostructures, combined with innovative tuning knobs and advanced nonlinear optical techniques, we anticipate deeper insights into the underlying mechanisms and more associated applications in this rapidly evolving field.

Hyperplasia and migration of fibroblast-like synoviocytes(FLSs)are the key drivers in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)and joint *** Yes-associated protein(YAP),which is a powerful transcription co-activator for proliferative genes,was observed in the nucleus of inflammatory FLSs with unknown upstream *** Gene Expression Omnibus database analysis,it was found that Salvador homolog-1(SAV1),the pivotal negative regulator of the Hippo-YAP pathway,was slightly downregulated in RA ***,SAV1 protein expression is extremely ***,it was revealed that SAV1 is phosphorylated,ubiquitinated,and degraded by interacting with an important serine-threonine kinase,G protein-coupled receptor(GPCR)kinase 2(GRK2),which was predominately upregulated by GPCR activation induced by ligands such as prostaglandin E2(PGE2)in *** process further contributes to the decreased phosphorylation,nuclear translocation,and transcriptional potency of YAP,and leads to aberrant FLSs *** depletion of GRK2 or inhibition of GRK2 by paroxetine rescued SAV1 expression and restored YAP phosphorylation and finally inhibited RA FLSs proliferation and ***,paroxetine treatment effectively reduced the abnormal proliferation of FLSs in a rat model of collagen-induced arthritis which was accompanied by a significant improvement in clinical ***,these results elucidate the significance of GRK2 regulation of Hippo-YAP signaling in FLSs proliferation and migration and the potential application of GRK2 inhibition in the treatment of FLSs-driven joint destruction in RA.

Chicken is an important food animal worldwide and plays an important role in human life by providing meat and *** recent significant advances in gut microbiome studies,a comprehensive study of chicken gut bacterial,archaeal,and viral genomes remains *** this study,we constructed a chicken multi-kingdom microbiome catalog(CMKMC),including 18,201 bacterial,225 archaeal,and 33,411 viral genomes,and annotated over 6,076,006 protein-coding genes by integrating 135 chicken gut metagenomes and publicly available metagenome-assembled genomes(MAGs)from ten *** found that 812 and 240 MAGs in our dataset were putative novel species and genera,respectively,far beyond what was previously *** newly unclassified MAGs were predominant in Phyla Firmicutes_A(n=263),followed by Firmicutes(n=126),Bacteroidota(n=121),and Proteobacteria(n=87).Most of the classified species-level viral oper-ational taxonomic units belong to ***,63.24%of chicken gut viromes are predicted to infect two or more hosts,including complete circular ***,we found that diverse auxiliary metabolic genes and antibiotic resistance genes were carried by ***,our CMKMC provides the largest integrated MAGs and viral genomes from the chicken gut to date,functional insights into the chicken gastrointestinal tract microbiota,and paves the way for microbial interventions for better chicken health and productivity.

Hatching and development of maize cyst nematode Heterodera zeae infecting different plant hosts

The occurrence, distribution, and rapid molecular detection technology of Heterodera zeae Koshy et al. 1971, have been reported in China. We explored the biological characteristics of H. zeae sampled in Henan Province, China to understand its interaction with plants. Cysts and second-stage juveniles(j2s) were identified under an optical and scanning electron microscope, internal transcribed spacer(ITS) phylogenetic tree, and sequence characterized amplified region(SCAR)-PCR analyses. The optimum hatching temperatures of H. zeae were 30°C and 28°C, with cumulative hatching rates of 16.5 and 16.1%, respectively, at 30 days post-hatching(dph). The hatching rate of H. zeae eggs was improved by 20-and 50-time maize soil leachate and root juice, and 10-time root exudates. The hatching rate in 10-time root exudates was the highest(25.9%). The 10-time root exudates of maize and millet produced the highest hatching rate at 30 dph(25.9 and 22.9%, respectively), followed by wheat(19.9%), barley(18.3%), and rice(17.6%). Heterodera zeae developed faster in maize than in other crops. Fourth-stage juveniles(j4s) were detected in maize roots 8 days post-inoculation(dpi) at 28°C but not in other crops. Combined with hatching tests, the Huang–Huai–Hai summer maize region and the south and central-southwest mountainous maize areas are highly suitable for H. zeae in China. This is the first systematically study of the hatching and infection characteristics on different plant hosts of corn cyst nematode H. zeae in temperate regions. This study laid a theoretical foundation for the rapid spread and high environmental adaptability of corn cyst nematode.

High efficiency removal of NO using waste calcium carbide slag by facile KOH modification

Waste calcium carbide slags(CS),which are widely applied to desulfurisation,are not typically used in ***,to well achieve waste control by waste,a facile and highefficiency denitration strategy is developed using KOH to modify the calcium carbide slags(KCS).Various KCS samples were investigated using a series of physical and chemical *** performance test results showed that the KOH concentration and reaction temperature are the main factors affecting the denitration efficiency of KCS,and CS modified with 1.5 mol/L KOH(KCS-1.5)can achieve 100% denitration efficiency at 300℃.Such excellent removal efficiency is due to the catalytic oxidation of the oxygen-containing functional groups derived from the *** studies showed that KOH treatment significantly increased the concentration of oxygen vacancies,nitro compounds,and basic sites of *** study provides a novel strategy for the resource utilisation of waste CS in the future.
