With an increase in model resolution,compact high-order numerical advection scheme can improve its effectiveness and competitiveness in oceanic modeling due to its high accuracy and scalability on massive-processor *** provide high-quality numerical ocean simulation on overset grids,we tried a novel formulation of the fourth-order multi-moment constrained finite volume scheme to simulate continuous and discontinuous problems in the Cartesian *** some degrees of freedom over each cell and derivatives at the cell center,we obtained a two-dimensional(2D)cubic polynomial from which point values on the extended overlap can achieve fourth-order ***,this interpolation causes a lack of conservation because the flux between the regions are no longer equal;thus,a flux correction is implemented to ensure conservation.A couple of numerical experiments are presented to evaluate the numerical scheme,which confirms its approximately fourth-order accuracy in conservative transportation on overset *** test cases reveal that the scheme is effective to suppress numerical oscillation in discontinuous problems,which may be powerful for salinity advection computing with a sharp gradient.

Let Mn（n ≥ 4） be an oriented closed submanifold with parallel mean curvature in an （n ＋ p）-dimensional locally symmetric Riemannian manifold Nn＋p. We prove that if the sectional curvature of N is positively pinched in [5, 1], and the Ricci curvature of M satisfies a pinching condition, then M is either a totally umbilical submanifold, or δ= 1, and N is of constant curvature. This result generalizes the geometric rigidity theorem due to Xu and gu [15].

Estrogen affects the generation and transmission of neuropathic pain,but the specific regulatory mechanism is still *** of the N-methyl-D-aspartate acid receptor 1（NMDAR1） plays an important role in the production and maintenance of hyperalgesia and *** present study was conducted to determine whether a relationship exists between estrogen and NMDAR1 in peripheral nerve pain.A chronic sciatic nerve constriction injury model of chronic neuropathic pain was established in *** rats were then subcutaneously injected with 17β-estradiol,the NMDAR1 antagonist D（-）-2-amino-5-phosphonopentanoic acid（AP-5）,or both once daily for 15 *** with injured drug na？ve rats,rats with chronic sciatic nerve injury that were administered estradiol showed a lower paw withdrawal mechanical threshold and a shorter paw withdrawal thermal latency,indicating increased sensitivity to mechanical and thermal *** administration was also associated with increased expression of NMDAR1 immunoreactivity（as assessed by immunohistochemistry） and protein（as determined by western blot assay） in spinal dorsal root *** 17β-estradiol-induced increase in NMDAR1 expression was blocked by co-administration with AP-5,whereas AP-5 alone did not affect NMDAR1 *** results suggest that 17β-estradiol administration significantly reduced mechanical and thermal pain thresholds in rats with chronic constriction of the sciatic nerve,and that the mechanism for this increased sensitivity may be related to the upregulation of NMDAR1 expression in dorsal root ganglia.

The understanding of the weakening mechanism of tensile strength of rock subjected to cyclic wetting-drying is critical for rock *** strength tests were conducted on a total of 35 sandstone specimens with different wetting-drying *** crack propagation process and acoustic emission characteristics of the tested samples were obtained through a high-speed camera and acoustic emission *** results indicate that the tensile strength is observably reduced after cyclic wetting-drying,and the extent of the reduction is not only related to the number of wettingdrying cycle,but also closely related to the clay mineral content of the *** addition,as the cycles of wetting-drying increase,the effect of each single cycle on tensile strength get reduced until it becomes ***,the crack initiation and penetration time is prolonged as the number of wetting-drying cycle increases,which indicates that cyclic wetting-drying weakens the rock stiffness and enhances the ductility of ***,the acoustic emission characteristics of the tested samples further confirmed the ductile behaviour of the sandstone samples with increasing wetting-drying ***,through the analysis of the microstructure and mineral composition of the samples with different wetting-drying cycles,it is concluded that the main weakening mechanisms of sandstones containing clay minerals are frictional reduction,chemical and corrosive deterioration.

The definition of a reference state close to the realistic atmosphere in an atmospheric model is essential for deriving prognostic deviations and improving numerical *** this study,a new dynamical framework allowing easy switching between a one-dimensional(1D)and a three-dimensional(3D)time-independent reference state is developed for the semi-implicit semi-Lagrangian solver in a global non-hydrostatic atmospheric model on Yin–Yang *** 3D reference state is introduced with consideration of additional horizontal gradient terms of referencestate terms,which is different from the 1D reference *** is characterized by reduced magnitude of deviations,more accurate pressure gradient force,as well as alleviated numerical *** idealized benchmark tests and multiple full-physics real-case forecasts are carried out to assess the impact of the 3D and 1D reference *** 3D reference state shows significant advantages in the simulation of atmospheric transport and wave propagation in the idealized *** the real-case forecasts,batched forecasts from June to August 2021 show a comprehensive improvement in medium-range prediction by using the 3D reference *** new scheme achieves an enhanced prediction skill for large-scale circulation and extends the effective forecast period by 0.8 days in the Northern Hemisphere.

The permeability of a natural gas hydrate reservoir is a critical parameter associated with gas hydrate *** producing gas from a hydrate reservoir via depressurization,the permeability of sediments changes in two ways with hydrate dissociation,increasing with more pore space released from hydrate and decreasing due to pore compression by stronger effective stress related to *** order to study the evolution of sediment permeability during the production process with the depressurization method,an improved pore network model(PNM)method is developed to establish the permeability change *** this model,permeability change induced by hydrate dissociation is investigated under hydrate occurrence morphology of pore filling and grain *** results obtained show that hydrate occurrence in sediment pore is with significant influence on permeability *** a reasonable degree of pore compression in field trial,the effect of pore space release on the reservoir permeability is greater than that of pore *** permeability of hydrate containing sediments keeps increasing in the course of gas production,no matter with what hydrate occurrence in sediment pore.

AIM: To investigate member 3a of Wingless-type MMTV integration site family (Wnt3a) expression in cancerous and surrounding tissues and the relationship between clinicopathologic features of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and Wnt3a ***: Wnt3a expression and cellular distribution and clinicopathologic characteristics in cancerous tissue and matched surrounding tissues were analyzed in 80 HCC patients from January 2006 to August 2008 by tissue microarrays and immunohistochemistry. The overall and disease-free survival rates were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared with the log-rank test. The prognostic analysis was carried out with univariate and multivariate Cox regressions ***: The incidence of oncogenic Wnt3a expression in the cancerous group was up to 96.25% (77 of 80), which was significantly higher (χ2 = 48.818, P 2 = 20.211, P 2 = 8.467, P 2 = 12.957, P 2 = 22.960, P 2 = 15.469, P < 0.001).CONCLUSION: Oncogenic Wnt3a expression associated with HBV infection and cirrhotic liver might be an independent prognostic factor for HCC.

AIM To investigate the dynamic alteration of mitochondrial carnitine palmitoyl transferase Ⅱ(CPT-Ⅱ) expression during malignant transformation of rat *** Sprague-Dawley male rats were fed with normal, high fat(HF), and HF containing 2-fluorenylacetamide(2-FAA) diet, respectively. According to the Hematoxylin and Eosin staining of livers, rats were divided into control, fatty liver, degeneration, pre-cancerous, and cancerous groups. Liver lipids were dyed with Oil Red O, CPT-Ⅱ alterations were analyzed by immunohistochemistry, and compared with CPT-Ⅱ specific concentration(μg/mg protein). Levels of total cholesterol(Tch), triglyceride(TG), and aminotransferases [alanine aminotransferase(ALT), aspartate aminotransferase(AST)] were determined by the routine *** After intake of HF and/or HF+2-FAA diets, the rat livers showed mass lipid accumulation. The lipid level in the control group was significantly lower than that in other groups. The changes of serum TG and Tch levels were abnormally increasing, 2-3 times more than those in the controls(P < 0.05). During the rat liver morphological changes from normal to cancer development process with hepatocyte injury, serum AST and ALT levels were significantly higher(4-8 times, P < 0.05) than those in the control group. The specific concentration of CPT-Ⅱ in liver tissues progressively decreased during hepatocyte malignant transformation, with the lowest CPT-Ⅱ levels in the cancer group than in any of the other groups(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION Low CPT-Ⅱ expression might lead to abnormal hepatic lipid accumulation, which should promote the malignant transformation of hepatocytes.

With the emergence of the Cultural School in the 1990s, researchers began to deem that translation is inevitably associated with political tendencies and aspirations of social groups, and the relationship between source language and target language has never gone beyond politics and are always entangled with power. From political perspective, this thesis will take the popularity of Yu Hua’s works in US into account to analyze and explore how cultural soft power, has impacts on translation activities, especially translation direction and source text selection.
