The authors prove that the total descendant potential functions of the theory of Fan-Jarvis-Ruan-Witten for D4 with symmetry group J and for D4T with symmetry group Gmax, respectively, are both tau-functions of the D4 Kac-Wakimoto/Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchy. This completes the proof, begun in the article by Fan-Jarvis-Ruan（2013）, of the Witten Integrable Hierarchies Conjecture for all simple（ADE） singularities.

Aim: Δ9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) is a potentially addictive cannabinoid. Its impact on the activity of liver arylamine N-Acetyltransferase (NAT) has not been reported. This study investigated the rewarding effects of Δ9-THC in mice and whether Δ9-THC had any impact ex-vivo and in-vitro on NAT activity. Methods: Thirty-six Swiss albinomice randomly assigned to six groups (n = 6) completed a biased, 8-week Conditioned Place Preference (CPP) paradigm. Mice exhibiting ~80% preference for the black chamber at pre-conditioning were selected. Treatment groups were administered Δ9-THC (0.10, 0.50 or 2.0 mg/kg/mL, ip) or amphetamine (AMP, 5.0 mg/kg/mL, ip);while untreated groups (controls) received vehicle solutions (coconut oil or 0.9% saline). Entries and time spent in the white, drug-paired chamber during a 15-min post-conditioning exploration of the CPP apparatus were compared with the pre-conditioning exploratory scores. Livers from Δ9-THC treated and untreated mice were excised and NAT enzyme activity determined ex-vivo using a spectrophotometric assay with p-anisidine as substrate. The impact of varying concentrations of Δ9-THC (0.00 - 162 μM) on the activities of NAT from untreated mice livers were also investigated in-vitro. Results: Δ9-THC treated mice entered and spent significantly more time in the drug-paired CPP chamber (p ≤ 0.05) at post-conditioning vs pre-conditioning (F = 11.22). Mice treated with 2.0 mg/kg Δ9-THC made significantly more entries into the drug-paired chamber (p ≤ 0.05) as compared with their vehicle controls. Acid Rock Drainage (ARD) is a well-known problem related to the mining industry due to its hazardous environmental effects. Metal-rich drainage and acid effluent transmitted from mine waste dumps compromise environmental quality of groundwater and surface water systems destroying aquatic life and increasing human health risks. This study was aimed at assessing the acid and metal drainage potential from the Subriso East Rock Dump (SERD) located in the Wassa East district of Ghana on ground and surface water quality in the catchment using a system of monitoring boreholes, reference boreholes and river samples. Water samples were collected from deep and shallow monitoring boreholes and surface water within the immediate environs of the SERD from August 2012 to February 2013 for laboratory and statistical analysis. Parameters analyzed include sulphate, alkalinity, Arsenic (As), Manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), Zinc (Zn), Copper (Cu), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Aluminum (Al), Silver (Ag) and lead (Pb) and their concentrations compared with Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) GSB (2009) and WHO (2017) standards. Results indicate that surface and groundwater were not impacted by the SERD possibly because there was no generation of acid or metal-loaded effluent from the SERD into the environment. Physicochemical variables between monitoring boreholes did not differ significantly from conditions in the reference boreholes. Similarly, comparison of upstream and downstream river conditions did not yield any statistical significance (p > 0.05). Mn and Fe concentrations were above the WHO (2017)/GSB (2009) standards. Heavy metal concentrations in surface and groundwater were below detection limits except manganese and iron whose concentrations exceeded the recommended guidelines. Understanding charge transfer processes between graphene and functional materials is crucial from the perspectives of fundamental sciences and potential applications, including electronic devices, photonic devices, and sensors. In this study, we present the charge transfer behavior of graphene and amine-rich polyethyleneimine （PEI） upon CO2 exposure, which was significantly improved after introduction of hygroscopic polyethylene glycol （PEG） in humid air. By blending PEI and PEG, the number of protonated amine groups in PEI was remarkably increased in the presence of water molecules, leading to a strong electron doping effect on graphene. The presence of CO2 gas resulted in a large change in the resistance of PEI/PEG-co-functionalized graphene because of the dramatic reduction of said doping effect, reaching a maximum sensitivity of 32% at 5,000 ppm CO2 and an applied bias of 0.1 V in air with 60% relative humidity at room temperature. This charge transfer correlation will facilitate the development of portable graphene-based sensors for real-time gas detection and the extension of the applications of graphene-based electronic and photonic devices.

Background: Hepatic tumors with complex vascular supply or poor relative perfusion are prone to decreased rates of objective response. This is compounded in the setting of Yttrium-90(Y90) transarterial radioembolization(TARE), which is minimally embolic and flow-dependent, relying on high threshold dose for complete ***: We describe our experience with intrahepatic flow diversion(FD) prior to TARE of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) with challenging vascular *** and methods: Between April 2014 and January 2020, 886 cases of coinciding MAA or TARE and bland embolization or temporary occlusion were *** embolizations performed for more routine purposes were excluded. FD was performed by bland embolization or temporary occlusion of vessels supplying non-malignant parenchyma in cases where flow was not preferential to target tumor. Lesion characteristics, vascular supply, treatment approach, angiography, and adverse events(AEs) were reviewed. Radiographic response was assessed using mRECIST ***: 22 cases of FD of focal HCC were identified. Embolics included calibrated microspheres(n = 11), microcoils(n = 4), gelfoam(n = 3), temporary balloon occlusion(n = 2) and temporary deployment of a microvascular plug(n = 1). Post-treatment SPECT-CT dosimetry coverage was concordant with target lesions in all cases. Mean follow-up was 16.7 months(1.4–45 mos). Tumor-specific response per m RECIST was 41% complete response, 50% objective response, and 59% disease control rate. No major adverse events or grade 3/4 hepatotoxicity were ***: Our findings suggest that FD prior to TARE is safe and potentially effective in treating HCC with complex vascular supply or poor tumor perfusion.

Taiwan is one of the youngest and most active orogenies in the world. It can be taken as a good "present" for us to use as the "key" to understand other older orogenies in China and around the world. Through the TAIGER project we have obtained a large amount of geophysical data. Being young and active the Taiwan orogen provides an environment for detailed studies of ongoing orogenic processes.

Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is an inherited connective tissue disease causing blisters in the skin and mucosal membranes. In severe cases, EB may be associated with renal damage through several mechanisms, mainly immunological ones. The present case described a young male with dystrophic recessive EB who developed an advanced chronic renal damage secondary to tubulointerstitial nephritis that was demonstrated by a renal biopsy. Unpublished previously, this complication should be considered among the possible causes of renal damage in EB. Also it is recommended a protocoled surveillance of renal and urinary tract complications in children with EB.

Excitons,bound electron–hole pairs,in two-dimensional hybrid organic inorganic perovskites(2D HOIPs)are capable of forming hybrid light-matter states known as exciton-polaritons(E–Ps)when the excitonic medium is confined in an optical *** the case of 2D HOIPs,they can self-hybridize into E–Ps at specific thicknesses of the HOIP crystals that form a resonant optical cavity with the ***,the fundamental properties of these self-hybridized E–Ps in 2D HOIPs,including their role in ultrafast energy and/or charge transfer at interfaces,remain ***,we demonstrate that>0.5µm thick 2D HOIP crystals on Au substrates are capable of supporting multiple-orders of self-hybridized E–P *** E–Ps have high Q factors(>100)and modulate the optical dispersion for the crystal to enhance sub-gap absorption and *** varying excitation energy and ultrafast measurements,we also confirm energy transfer from higher energy E–Ps to lower energy E–***,we also demonstrate that E–Ps are capable of charge transport and transfer at *** findings provide new insights into charge and energy transfer in E–Ps opening new opportunities towards their manipulation for polaritonic devices.
