A precise energy conversion factor is required to define the impact of greenhouse gas emissions by gasoline-powered vehi-cles and policies that will guide the application of future *** current energy conversion factor adopted by many countries is based on the Willans line approach,initially proposed in 1888 for steam engines,later adapted for internal combustion *** actual energy conversion factor,which defines the energy conversion for drivers in real traffic,is *** this article,eight world-class engines are tested in an engine bench for the acquisition of specific fuel consumption 3D ***,their energy conversion factors,calculated by dividing the energy output by the energy input,are simulated in real and urban traffic,acquired according to the real driving emissions(RDE)*** addition,a reference vehicle is instrumented to measure the energy input(fuel flow)and the energy output(mechanical energy in the half axles)under the same RDE cycle *** results of both procedures are very similar,respectively,0.405±0.04 L/kWh for the simulation based on eight benchmark engines,and 0.392±0.04 L/kWh for the reference vehicle driven in RDE traffic conditions,with a 95%confidence *** turbocharged engines,the factor attained by the simulation is 0.395±0.04 L/*** values of the energy conversion factor for gasoline engines got in this research are higher than those obtained through the Willans line approach,suggesting a new standard value of 0.405 L/kWh,replacing the current 0.264 L/*** could substantially change the greenhouse gas emissions in a tank-to-wheel approach for the entire vehicle and add-on eco-innovations.

This paper aims at demonstrating that an acceptable level of performance as a group facilitator can be achieved byhospitality industry managers in a 35-hour course, to a maximum of fourteen trainees, experienced in groupleadership but not in small-group facilitation or large-group coordination. Based on a six-step model fororganizational intervention, the course was run in co-facilitation, using the effect of demonstration, modelling, andobservation to improve performance at individual level. The course represents a mix of organizational behaviourand human resources management that has proved to be effective in preparing managers to improve organizationalinnovation and accelerate change in companies. Each step produced outputs, namely three innovation *** rated the course in every item of an extensive questionnaire as Good and Very Good, except theintroduction (pre-consult), which was considered “too theoretical”. Therefore, the course model proved to beadequate for the preparation of managers as coaches for organizational innovation in the hospitality industry. As tofuture developments, they will have to do mostly with the functioning of a matrix structure in the hospitality industry,so that the whole approach may have a full impact on the company.

To examine the protection against reinforcement corrosion due to the combined action of co2 and chlorides, experimental results of the evaluation of a study with three types of cement are presented. The study was performed observing the behavior of reinforcements which were put in samples submitted to accelerated carbonatation tests and accelerated tests under the effect of chlorides. For the evaluation, intensity corrosion measurements were used using the Pr （polarization resistance） technique, employing these measures as a deterioration indicator. Three types of cement available in the national market were used. The obtained results enabled the classification of the used cements, comparing their profile behaviors in the conditions of the proposed tests.

Dear Editor, Antibiotic resistance has emerged as a major threat to global health;multi-drug resistant bacteria already kill more patients in the United States each year than HIV/AIDS, Parkinson's disease, emphysema and homicide combined (Laxminarayan et al., 2013).Among the most effective bacterial resistance mechanisms are β-lactamases, a family of enzymes that are divided into four distinct *** A, C and D (serine-β-lactamases, SBLs) use a catalytic site serine residue to initiate inactivation of the antibiotic, while Class B (metallo-β-lactamases, MBLs) relies on a Zn2+-activated hydroxide (Walsh et al., 2005;Bush and Jacoby,2010;Mitic et al., 2014;Lisa et al., 2017).Clinically relevant inhibitors of Class C and D SBLs are available and in use (e.g., clavulanic acid (CA), Drawz et al., 2010), but for MBLs the search for such inhibitors has remained challenging (McGeary et al., 2017).
