Many types of research focus on utilizing Palmprint recognition in user identification and *** Palmprint is one of biometric authentication(something you are)invariable during a person’s life and needs careful protection during enrollment into different biometric authentication *** and irreversibility are critical requirements for securing the Palmprint template during enrollment and *** paper proposes an innovative HAMTE neural network model that contains Hetero-Associative Memory for Palmprint template translation and projection using matrix multiplication and dot product multiplication.A HAMTE-Siamese network is constructed,which accepts two Palmprint templates and predicts whether these two templates belong to the same user or different *** HAMTE is generated for each user during the enrollment phase,which is responsible for generating a secure template for the enrolled *** proposed network secures the person’s Palmprint template by translating it into an irreversible template(different features space).It can be stored safely in a trusted/untrusted third-party authentication system that protects the original person’s template from being *** results are conducted on the CASIA database,where the proposed network achieved accuracy close to the original accuracy for the unprotected Palmprint *** recognition accuracy deviated by around 3%,and the equal error rate(EER)by approximately 0.02 compared to the original data,with appropriate performance(approximately 13 ms)while preserving the irreversibility property of the secure ***,the brute-force attack has been analyzed under the new Palmprint protection scheme.

High mutability of HIV is the driving force of antiretroviral drug resistance, which represents a medical care challenge. The proposed model represents a mathematical analysis of the mutability of each gene in the HIV-1 genome. It depends on a linear relation wherein the probability of spontaneous mutations emergence is directly proportional to the ratio of the gene length to the whole genome length. The mathematical analysis shows that tat, vpr and vpu are the least mutant genes in HIV-1 genome, and protease PROT gene is the least mutant gene component of polymerases POL. Accordingly, tat, vpr and vpu are the best candidates for HIV-1 recombinant subunit vaccines or as a part of “prime and boost” vaccine combinations. Also, the protease inhibitor-based regime represents a high genetic barrier for HIV to overcome.

Palmprint identification has been conducted over the last two decades in many biometric ***-dimensional data with many uncorrelated and duplicated features remains difficult due to several computational complexity *** paper presents an interactive authentication approach based on deep learning and feature selection that supports Palmprint *** proposed model has two stages of learning;the first stage is to transfer pre-trained VGG-16 of ImageNet to specific features based on the extraction *** second stage involves the VGG-16 Palmprint feature extraction in the Siamese network to learn Palmprint *** proposed model achieves robust and reliable end-to-end Palmprint authentication by extracting the convolutional features using VGG-16 Palmprint and the similarity of two input Palmprint using the Siamese *** second stage uses the CASIA dataset to train and test the Siamese *** suggested model outperforms comparable studies based on the deep learning approach achieving accuracy and EER of 91.8%and 0.082%,respectively,on the CASIA left-hand images and accuracy and EER of 91.7%and 0.084,respectively,on the CASIA right-hand images.

In this study, we aimed to evaluate changes of vertical palpebral fissure height （VPFH） after unilateral lateral rectus muscle recession. Twenty-five and twenty-six patients who were candidates for lateral rectus muscle recession were assigned into “with” and “without” intermuscular septum dissection study arms. The VPFH was measured at one-day before surgery and in two weeks and three months, postoperatively. Three months after surgery, significant increase of VPFH was observed in both groups （Paired t-test; P=0.005）. Also, less widening of VPFH was observed in “with intermuscular septum dissection” group （Change in VPFH in “with intermuscular septum dissection” vs “without intermuscular septum dissection” groups： 0.48 mm vs 1.34 mm; ANCOVA test; P〈0.001）. However, such results were not observed two weeks post-operatively （Change in VPFH in “with intermuscular septum dissection” vs “without intermuscular septum dissection” groups： -0.28 mm vs 0.28 mm; ANCOVA test; P=0.302）. Intermuscular septum dissection is recommended in lateral rectus muscle recession to partially prevent the undesirable increment of VPFH.

The fast spread of coronavirus disease(COVID-19)caused by SARSCoV-2 has become a pandemic and a serious threat to the *** of May 30,2020,this disease had infected more than 6 million people globally,with hundreds of thousands of ***,there is an urgent need to predict confirmed cases so as to analyze the impact of COVID-19 and practice readiness in healthcare *** study uses gradient boosting regression(GBR)to build a trained model to predict the daily total confirmed cases of *** GBR method can minimize the loss function of the training process and create a single strong learner from weak *** are conducted on a dataset of daily confirmed COVID-19 cases from January 22,2020,to May 30,*** results are evaluated on a set of evaluation performance measures using 10-fold cross-validation to demonstrate the effectiveness of the GBR *** results reveal that the GBR model achieves 0.00686 root mean square error,the lowest among several comparative models.

Knowledge of the spatial distribution of interseismic deformations is essential to better understand earthquake *** existing methods for improving the reliability of the obtained deformations often rely on visual inspection and prior model corrections that are time-consuming,labor-intensive,and do not consider the spatial distribution of interseismic *** Synthetic Aperture Radar(InSAR)data provides wide-scale coverage for interseismic deformation monitoring over a wide ***,the interseismic signal featured as millimeter-scale and long-wave deformations is often contaminated with *** the present study,a new workfow to correct the interferometric phase and quantitatively select interferograms is proposed to improve the accuracy of interseismic deformation ***,the Generic Atmospheric Correction Online Service(GACOS),Intermittent Code for Atmospheric Noise Depression through Iterative Stacking(I-CANDIS),and plate model are combined to correct the atmospheric screen and long-wave ramp ***,the Pearson’s Correlation Coefcient(PCC)between the interferometric phase and the Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)constrained interseismic model as well as the STandard Deviation(STD)of the interferometric phase are introduced as criteria to optimize the selection of ***,the intermittent stacking method is used to generate an average velocity map.A comprehensive test using Sentinel-1 images covering the Haiyuan Fault Zone validate the efectiveness of our workfow in measuring interseismic *** demonstrates that the proposed joint InSAR-GNSS workfow can be extended to study the subtle interseismic deformations of major fault systems in Tibet and worldwide.

The term non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)was coined in 1980 to characterize a disease similar to alcoholic fatty liver disease that developed in patients without a history of excessive alcohol intake.[1]Morphologically,NAFLD is characterized by excess fatty infiltration of the liver in the absence of known causes of liver disease(eg,alcohol,autoimmune liver disease,viral hepatitis,etc).The clinical manifestations of NAFLD(both hepatic and extrahepatic)depend on the outcome of complex interactions between its primary drivers including poor lifestyle habits and diet,a dysfunctional microbiota,genetic predisposition,and environmental cues that result in metabolic dysfunction and liver ***,bringing all patients with their markedly different clinical courses under the NAFLD umbrella belies its complexity and implies a homogeneous disease state that then negatively impacts clinical management and a deeper understanding of *** advances in current knowledge on the spectrum of fatty liver diseases,it is apparent that the fourdecade-old outdated term NAFLD can no longer serve to usefully describe a highly heterogeneous *** disease as we understand it today not only impacts patients who consume alcohol and those who do not,but also potentially impacts all patients with any form of liver disease,by acting as a disease modifier.[2]
