The microstructure, texture, residual stress, and tensile properties of Mg–6 Zn–2 y–1 La–0.5 Zr(wt%) magnesium alloy were investigated before and after extrusion process, which performed at 300 °C and 400 °C. The microstructural characterizations indicated that the as-cast alloy was comprised of α-Mg, Mg–Zn, Mg–Zn–La, and Mg–Zn–y phases. During homogenization at 400 °C for 24 h, most of the secondary phases exhibited partial dissolution. Extrusion process led to a remarkable grain refi nement due to dynamic recrystallization(DRX). The degree of DRX and the DRXed grain size increased with increasing extrusion temperature. The homogenized alloy did not show a preferential crystallographic orientation, whereas the extruded alloys showed strong basal texture. The extrusion process led to a signifi cant improvement on the compressive residual stress and mechanical properties. The alloy extruded at 300 °C exhibited the highest basal texture intensity, the compressive residual stress and hardness, and yield and tensile strengths among the studied alloys.

Primary rectal lymphoma is a rare presentation of gastrointestinal lymphomas. Its clinical presentation is indistinguishable from that of rectal carcinoma. Although surgical resection is often technically feasible, optimal therapy for colorectal lymphoma has not yet been *** report a case of primary rectal lymphoma (nonHodgkin's large cell lymphoma of type B) with high-grade features that disappeared completely after chemoradiotherapy. This case underlines that primary treatment with systemic chemotherapy and involved-field radiotherapy can be successful for rectal lymphoma, with surgery reserved for complications and chemotherapy failures.

Until recently, many computational materials scientists have shown little interest in materials databases. This is now changing be-cause the amount of computational data is rapidly increasing and the potential for data mining provides unique opportunities for discovery and optimization. Here, a few examples of such opportunities are discussed relating to structural analysis and classification, discovery of correlations between materials properties, and discovery of unsuspected compounds.

建立了一种基于人工智能的致密砂岩气储集层重复压裂井筛选方法,并进行了算例分析。该方法以模糊逻辑为基础,通过语言模糊性的数学表示来处理语言的不精确性和主观性,是1个基于模糊集理论、模糊规则和模糊推理的计算系统。用5个指数分别表征与重复压裂井选择问题相关的水力裂缝质量、储集层特征、初始条件、操作参数、产量,每个指数又包含3个相关参数。将每个指数/参数的值划分为低、中、高3个类别,针对每个指数/参数的每个类别定义梯形隶属函数,并定义所有相关规则。先将某个指数的相关参数输入到基于规则的模糊推理系统中,输出该指数的值,再另建1个模糊推理系统,将储集层指数、操作指数、初始条件指数和产量指数作为输入参数,重复压裂潜力指数作为输出参数,从而筛选重复压裂井。利用已发表文献中的数据验证了该方法的有效性。

The shape memory behavior of [111]-oriented Ni_（51）Ti_（49）（at.%） single crystals was investigated after stressassisted aging at 500 °C for 1.5 h under a compressive stress of-150 *** was found that a single family of Ni_4Ti_3 precipitates with two crystallographically equivalent variants was formed after aging under compressive *** aging resulted in tensile two-way shape memory effect strain of 1.56% under-5 *** cycling under-600 MPa resulted in a transformation strain of-2.15%,while the subsequent thermal cycling under-5 MPa resulted in a tensile two-way shape memory effect strain of 2.2%.

Porosity formation during solidification of aluminum-based alloys,due to hydrogen gas and alloy shrinkage,has been a major issue adversely affecting the performance of solidification products such as castings,welds or additively manufactured components.A three-dimensional cellular automaton(CA)model has been developed,for the first time,to couple the predictions of hydrogen-induced gas porosity and shrinkage porosity during solidification microstructure evolution of a binary Al-Si *** CA simulation results are validated under various cooling rates by porosity measurements in an experimental wedge die casting using X-ray micro computed tomography(XMCT)*** validated porosity moel provides a critical link in integrated computation materials engineering(ICME)design and manufacturing of solidification products.

Effect of acupuncture therapy on fracture healing in rats with femur fractures

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of acupuncture therapy on fracture healing in rats with femur ***: A total of 10 groups were formed;control group, groups sacrificed on 7 th, 14 th, and 21 st days of fracture formation, groups to which acupuncture was applied for 7, 14, and 21 d, groups to which fracture and acupuncture were applied for 7,14, and 21 d. A transverse fracture line was formed in femurs of rats by using a Gigli saw. The Kirschner wire was driven retrograde down from the fracture line to proximal part of the bone and then, the fracture was fixed towards distal part. Acupuncture was applied to the rats for 7, 14, and 21 d as 4 sessions per week after formation of the ***: Malondialdehyde(MDA), reduced glutathione(GSH) levels, catalase(CAT), glutathione-Stransferase(GST), superoxide dismutase(SOD), and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase(G6 PD) activities were measured. Despite the increased MDA levels, G6 PD and SOD activities reduced during the fracture healing. There was a statistically significant increase in MDA, GSH levels, and G6 PD activity in fracture groups compared to control group, but CAT, GST, and SOD activities decreased. The use of acupuncture enhanced callus development and bone mineralization during bone ***: The acupuncture therapy can affect suppression of the effects of free oxygen radicals and regulation of the antioxidant enzyme activity in fracture healing. Thus, it is suggested that acupuncture treatment would be beneficial for fracture healing in order to eliminate the negative effects induced by oxygen free radicals.

We describe the endoscopic-assisted rib harvesting technique for secondary rhinoplasty as minimum-invasive and safe harvesting ***-assisted rib harvesting was performed on 52 patients for revision rhinoplasty in last two years(2017-2019).Adequate amount of cartilage was obtained through 1-2 cm *** 30 degrees angled endoscope was used for vision ***-two patients underwent rhinoplasty with costal cartilage harvested using endoscopic-assisted *** length of the harvested cartilage blocks from the rib was 5±1.5 cm in *** were no associated intraoperative *** complications were less than by the conventional rib harvesting technique:in all cases,no signs of pneumothorax or excessive bleeding were detected after *** wound healed without significant scarring in 50(96%)*** patients(4%)showed hypertrophic scar *** pain was evaluated by using Visual Pain Analog Scale ***-eight patients(92%)scored 1.43±0.7 experienced no significant postoperative *** 4 patients(8%)scored 4.1±0.8 and complained of slight postoperative *** technique provides an effective and less-invasive alternative for conventional costal cartilage harvesting with reduced complications risk and extended *** benefit from an inconspicuous scar and reduced postoperative *** can be applied for revision and primary rhinoplasty and allows achieving reproducible aesthetically and functionally successful results with minimized risks.

Obesity is becoming an inevitable pandemic all over the *** World Obesity Federation predicts in the 2022 World Obesity Atlas that one billion people worldwide,including 1 in 5 women and 1 in 7 men,will be living with obesity by ***,the prevalence of diabetes is increasing worldwide,and diabetes is becoming more of a public health *** insulin resistance due to obesity and deficiency in insulin secretion are the two main causes of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).An exogenous chemical or mixture of chemicals that interferes with any aspect of hormone action was defined as endocrine-disrupting chemicals(EDCs).Bisphenol A(BPA),the first known EDC,was synthesized and was considered to be *** production of BPA has increased progressively from 5 to 8 million tons(MT)between 2010 and ***,researchers estimated that the production should reach 10.2 MT by *** human population is exposed to EDCs in daily life in such forms as pesticides/herbicides,industrial and household products,plastics,detergents,and personal care *** term obesogen was used for chemicals that promote weight gain and obesity by increasing the number of adipocytes and fat storage in existing adipocytes,changing the energy balance,and finally regulating appetite and *** the obesogenic effect,EDCs can cause T2DM through alteration inßcell function and morphology and insulin *** this review,we provide clinical and mechanistic evidence regarding EDCs as obesogen and ***,those studies are not enough methodologically to indicate *** this respect,randomized clinical trials are needed to investigate the association between obesogen,diabetogen and the related metabolic clinical picture.
