The properties of dust ion acoustic waves are investigated in an unmagnetized multicomponent plasma system consisting of ion beam, charged positive and negative ions, electrons obeying nonthermal-Tsallis distribution and stationary negatively charged dust grains by the conventional Sagdeev pseudopotential method, through which the condition for existence of several nonlinear structures is analyzed theoretically. The dispersion relation for electrostatic waves is derived and analyzed and an expression of the energy integral equation is obtained. It is reported here that our plasma model supports solitions, double layers and supersoliton solutions for certain range of parameters. Finally, the effects of different physical plasma parameters on these nonlinear structures are studied numerically. The present theory should be helpful in understanding the salient features of the electrostatic waves in space and in laboratory plasmas where two distinct groups of ions and non-Maxwellian distributed electrons are present.

Gross and Histopathological Changes in Gastrointestinal Tract in Cases of Acute Transoral Paraquat Poisoning

Background and Justification: Paraquat is one of the easily available household poisons and has become an easy source of committing suicide, especially in rural India including in West Bengal where it is used as a “weedkiller.” Out of the fatal 272 poisoning cases where autopsies were done at NRSMCH Morgue in the year 2019, 56.6% of cases died due to transoral paraquat poisoning. Though adequate literature is available showing gross and microscopic changes in lungs, liver, and kidneys following transoral paraquat poisoning, data showing the effect of the poison in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract is limited though its detrimental effects on the GI tract are associated with increased morbidity. Objectives: The objectives of the study were to assess the gross and histopathological changes in different parts of the GI Tract involving lips, tongue, esophagus, and stomach in paraquat death cases brought for autopsy in NRSMCH Morgue, Kolkata, to fill the gap in the existing literature to a certain extent. Methods: The study was a descriptive, cross-sectional study that was done over 5 months and during which we got 38 cases based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Macroscopically Congestion with erosion and hemorrhage was seen mostly in the stomach followed by the esophagus. Histopathologically desquamation was the consistent finding in all organs attributed to the corrosive property of the paraquat solution. Chronic inflammatory cell infiltrations are predominantly seen in the tongue followed by the esophagus and lips. Hyperplasia of the surface epithelium was noticeable mostly in the esophagus followed by the tongue and lips but not in the stomach. Involvement of Distortion of glandular architecture in the stomach outnumbers the other organs, followed by the tongue. Necrotic changes were limited to the stomach and esophagus only. Both ulceration and necrotic changes were predominantly limited to the lowermost part of the esophagus than its rest portion, mainly

We investigated the plant population structure and the phy- tosociological and regeneration status in two disturbed tropical forests in Assam Province, the Hojai Reserve Forest and Kumorakata Reserve Forest. A total of 166 species （80 trees, 20 shrubs and 66 herbs） of 136 genera and 63 families were recorded in both study sites. The disturbance index at the two sites, Kumorakata Reserve Forest and Hojai Reserve Forest, were recorded at 11.4% and 3.70% respectively. Reverse J-shaped population curve and exploitation of tree species in higher girth classes were recorded at both study sites. In the girth classes （10-30 cm, 30-60 cm, 60-90 cm and 90-120 cm in size） the percentage of cut stump density was higher than the percentage of individual living trees. The 18% （Kumorakata Reserve Forest） and 7% （Hojai Reserve Forest） spe- cies were recorded as not regenerating. Illegal felling and over-exploitation of forest resources may lead to species-specific changes in the population structure and can alter the future structure and composi- tion of the forests.

An analytical model is used to predict the effects of surface recombination current on the gain and transit time of GalnP/GaAs heterojunction bipolar transistors（HBTs）.The present analysis shows that consideration of the recombination current gives current gain values that are comparable to those of the experimental *** dependence of current gain on temperature,base doping and emitter area are also analyzed,and the variation in collector current with emitter-base voltage,temperature and doping is considered.
