Petrology and Sr-Nd isotope systematics of the Ahobil kimberlite(Pipe-16)from the Wajrakarur field, Eastern Dharwar craton, southern india

Detailed mineralogical, bulk-rock geochemical and Sr-Nd isotopic data for the recently discovered Ahobil kimberlite(Pipe-16) from the Wajrakarur kimberlite field(WKF), Eastern Dharwar craton(EDC),southern india, are presented. Two generations of compositionally distinct olivine, Ti-poor phlogopite showing orangeitic evolutionary trends, spinel displaying magmatic trend-1, abundant perovskite, Tirich hydrogarnet, calcite and serpentine are the various mineral constituents. On the basis of(i) liquidus mineral composition,(ii) bulk-rock chemistry, and(iii) Sr-Nd isotopic composition, we show that Ahobil kimberlite shares several characteristic features of archetypal kimberlites than orangeites and lamproites. Geochemical modelling indicate Ahobil kimberlite magma derivation from small-degree melting of a carbonated peridotite source having higher Gd/Yb and lower La/Sm in contrast to those of orangeites from the Eastern Dharwar and Bastar cratons of indian shield. The T_(Dm) Nd model age(～2.0 Ga) of the Ahobil kimberlite is(i) significantly older than those(1.5～1.3 Ga) reported for Wajrakarur and Narayanpet kimberlites of EDC,(ii) indistinguishable from those of the Mesoproterozoic EDC lamproites,and(iii) strikingly coincides with the timing of the amalgamation of the Columbia supercontinent. High bulk-rock Fe-Ti contents and wide variation in oxygen fugacity fO_2, as inferred from perovskite oxybarometry, suggest non-prospective nature of the Ahobil kimberlite for diamond.

Synthesis of Micron-sized Hexagonal and Flowerlike Nanostructures of Lead Oxide (PbO_2) by Anodic Oxidation of Lead

Micron sized hexagon- and flower-like nanostructures of lead oxide（α-PbO2） have been synthesized by very simple and cost effective route of anodic oxidation of lead sheet. These structures were easily obtained by the simple variation of applied voltage from 2-6 v between the electrodes. Lead sheet was used as an anode and platinum sheet served as a cathode. Anodic oxidation at 2 v resulted in the variable edge sized（1-2 μm） hexagon-like structures in the electrolyte. When the applied potential was increased to 4 v a structure of distorted hexagons consisting of some flower-like structures were obtained. Further increment of potential up to 6 v resulted in flower like structures of α-PbO2 having six petals. The diameter of the flower-like structures was 200-500 nm and the size of a petal was 100-200 nm.

5-Fluorouracil loaded guar gum microspheres for colon delivery： preparation, characterization and in vitro release

The present i.vestigation is aimed to develop a new formulation containing chemically crosslinked guar gum microspheres loaded with 5-fluorouracil for targeting colorectal cancer. The emulsification polymerization method i.volving the dispersion of aqueous phase of guar gum in castor oil was used to prepare spherical microspheres. various processing parameters were studied in order to optimize the formulation. Particle size and surface morphology of the microspheres were determined using optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The in vitro drug release studies performed in simulated gastric fluid (SGF) for 2 h followed by intestinal fluid for 3 h, revealed the retention of the drug inside the microspheres from which only (15.27 ± 0.56) % of the drug was released in 5 h. in vitro release rate studies were also carried out in simulated colonic fluid (SCF) in the presence of rat caecal contents, which showed improved drug release. The drug release from the formulation was found to be (41.6 ± 3.5) % with 2% (w/v) caecal matter in 24 h as compared to control study where (25.2 ± 3.5) % of drug was released. The drug release from the formulation with 2% and 4% rat caecal contents medium after 2 days of enzyme induction was found to be (56.3 ± 4.1) % and (78.9 ± 2.8) % in 24 h respectively. Similarly, (61.3 ± 5.4) % and (90.2 ± 2.9) % drug was released respectively with 2% and 4% rat caecal matter after 4 days of enzyme induction and (72.1 ± 2.9) % and (90.2 ± 3.2) % after 6 days of enzyme induction. in this way, 5-fluorouracil loaded guar gum microspheres have shown promising results in the management of colorectal cancer, warranting thorough in vivo study for scale up technology.

Rift-associated ultramafic lamprophyre(damtjernite) from the middle part of the Lower Cretaceous(125 Ma) succession of Kutch,northwestern india: Tectonomagmatic implications

Mineralogical,geochemical and isotopic(Sr and Nd) studies on the recently reported ca. 124 Ma'anorogenic lamproite' dyke from the Palanpur area, Kutch seismogenic rift zone, northwestern india, are presented. We propose a new classification for the dyke as a damtjernite(ultramafic lamprophyre; UML)based on its porphyritic-panidiomorphic texture, abundance of phlogopite, presence of nepheline in the groundmass, and the composition of liquidus phases such as olivine, phlogopite, magnetite, and clinopyroxene(diopside). The Palanpur UML is primitive(Mg# =74-77),silica-undersaturated(SiO_2ic to slightly sodic in nature, and is strikingly similar to the ～69 Ma UML dykes and sills of the Tethyan indus suture zone, which are considered as the earliest yet known manifestations of the Deccan Large igneous Province(LiP). Bulk-rock(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)_i(0.70460-0.70461) and ε_(N)d(t)(+2.56 to-0.69) of the Palanpur UML signify derivation from a slightly depleted mantle source similar to that of asthenospheric magmas such as OiB. This is further attested to by the high incompatible trace element ratios(viz., La/Ba, Nb/U, Nb/La and Ta/Yb) that are typical of plume-type magmas. However, the Neoproterozoic T_(DM) depleted mantle Nd model ages( ～655-919 Ma) also necessitate some i.volvement of a lithospheric mantle component in its genesis. High bulk-rock Fe_2 O_3~t and TiO_2 contents require the i.volvement of a fertile peridotitic mantle source, whereas high La/Yb(60-80) implies a control by residual garnet. Higher Rb/Sr and lower Ba/Rb suggest phlogopite as a residual phase and high Nb and lower La/Sm favour carbonatite, rather than silicate melt as metasomatising agent. Low degrees of partial melting of a primitive garnet lherzolite mantle can account for the observed REE patterns in the Palanpur UML. The Palanpur UML shares a temporal similarity to the Kerguelen plume-derived Rajmahal basalts and associated alkaline rocks from the eastern india. The tectonomagmatic

Nanostructured porous polyaniline(PANi)has been synthesized and coated simultaneously on a highly flexible and conductive carbon cloth(CC)substrate using a simple in-situ chemical oxidative polymerization *** coated CC(PANi-CC)based flexible electrodes were further used for the fabrication of flexible supercapacitor *** the comparison purpose,pure PANi has also been synthesized and tested for its electrochemical *** energy storage capacity of PANi and PANi–CC composite was i.vestigated using electrochemical techniques like Cv,GCD,and EiS in a potential range from 0 to 0.8 v in 1 M H_(2)SO_(4)***-CC flexible electrodes exhibited the highest specific capacitance of 691 F/g;whereas,pure PANi could only achi.ve 575 F/g of specific capacitance at 1 A/*** also exhibited outstanding cyclic stability by recollecting 94%of its initial capacitance after 2000 GCD *** actual implementation,a flexible supercapacitor device has been fabricated using stainless steel sheets and PANi-CC flexile *** energy storage performance of the PANi-CC flexible supercapacitor device was tested at several bending angles,which resulted in 72%of capacitance retention at a maximum bending angle of 140°compared to the capacitance obtained at an angle 0°(flat state).PANi-CC exhibited improved electrochemical performance than pure PANi due to the synergistic effect between PANi and ***,CC helped in enhancing the conductivity and stability;whereas,PANi boosted the capacitance owing to its excellent porosity and fast pseudocapacitive charge storage response.

Low voltage floating gate MOSFET based current differencing transconductance amplifier and its applications

This article presents a low voltage low power configuration of current differencing transconductance amplifier（CDTA）based on floating gate *** proposed CDTA variant operates at lower supply voltage±1.4 v with total static power dissipation of 2.60 mW due to the low voltage feature of floating gate *** transconductance up to 6.21 mA/v is achi.ved with extended linear range of the circuit i.e.±130μ*** applications are illustrated to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed active block.A quadrature oscillator is realized using FGMOS based CDTA,two capacitors,and a *** resistor is implemented using two NMOSFETs to provide high linearity and *** application is the Schmitt trigger circuit based on the proposed CDTA *** circuits are simulated by using SPiCE and TSMC 130 nm technology.
