BACKGROUND:Oxidative stress is closely associated with hypertensive outcomes. The oxidative balance score (OBS) measures oxidative stress exposure from dietary and lifestyle elements. The objective of this study was to investigate the association between OBS and mortality in hypertensive patients.METHODS:This study included 7823 hypertensive patients from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 1999-2014. Several models, including Cox regression, restricted cubic splines (RCS), Kaplan‒Meier survival analysis, subgroup, and sensitivity analyses, were exploited to investigate the relationship between OBS and the risk of mortality.RESULTS:Controlling for all potential confounders, a significantly inverse association was observed between elevated OBS and all-cause [hazard ratio (HR) = 0.90, 95% CI: 0.85-0.95] and cardiovascular mortality (HR = 0.85, 95% CI: 0.75-0.95). With adjustment for covariates, significant associations between lifestyle OBS and mortality risks diminished, whereas associations between dietary OBS and these mortality risks remained robust (all-cause mortality: HR = 0.91, 95% CI: 0.86-0.96; cardiovascular mortality: HR = 0.85, 95% CI: 0.76-0.96). RCS demonstrated a linear relationship between OBS and all-cause and cardiovascular mortality risk ( = 0.088 and = 0.447, respectively). Kaplan‒Meier curves demonstrated that the mortality rate was lower with a high OBS ( < 0.001). The consistency of the association was demonstrated in subgroup and sensitivity analyses. RCS after stratification showed that among current drinkers, those with higher OBS had a lower risk of mortality compared with former or never drinkers.CONCLUSIONS:In hypertensive individuals, there was a negative association between OBS and all-cause and cardiovascular mortality. Encouraging hypertensive individuals, especially those currently drinking, to maintain high levels of OBS may be beneficial in improving their prognosis.

With the rapid development of large-scale development of marginal oilfields in China,simple wellhead platforms that are simple in structure and easy to install have become an inevitable choice in the process of oilfield ***,traditional simple wellhead platforms are often discarded after a single *** pursuit of a more costeffective approach to developing marginal oilfields,this paper proposes a new offshore oil field development facility—an integrated bucket foundation for wellhead *** verify the safety of its towing behavior and obtain the dynamic response characteristics of the structure,this paper takes a bucket integrated bucket foundation for wellhead platform with a diameter of 40 m as the research *** combining physical model tests and numerical simulations,it analyzes the static stability and dynamic response characteristics of the structure during towing,complete with the effects of the draft,wave height,wave period,and towing point height,which produce the dynamic responses of the structure under different influence factors,such as roll angle,pitch angle,heave acceleration and towing force as well as the sensibility to transport *** results show that the integrated bucket foundation for wellhead platform is capable of self-floating towing,and its movement is affected by the local environment,which will provide a reference for actual projects.

Research on the mechanism of the two-dimensional ultrasonic surface burnishing process to enhance the wear resistance for aluminum alloy

The gradient nanostructure is machined on the aluminum(Al)alloy by the two-dimensional ultrasonic surface burnishing process(2D-USBP).The mechanism of why the gradient nanostructure enhances wear resistance is *** mechanical properties and microstructure characterization for the gradient nanostructure are performed by operating a nanoindenter,transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD).Dry wear tests are performed on the samples before and after machining to evaluate the wear resistance and *** effect of the gradient nanostructure on the wear resistance is explored by developing the crystal plasticity(CP)finite element and molecular dynamics(MD)*** characterization results show that the 2D-USBP sample prepared a gradient structure of~600μm thick on the aluminum surface,increasing the surface hardness from 1.13 to 1.71 GPa and reducing the elastic modulus from 78.84 to 70.14 *** optimization of the surface microstructure and the increase of the mechanical properties effectively enhance the wear resistance of the sample,with 41.20%,39.07%,and 54.58% of the wear scar areas for the 2D-USBP treated samples to the original samples under 5,10,and 15 N loads,*** gradient nanostructure hinders the slip of dislocations inside the sample during the wear process and reduces the size and scope of plastic deformation;meanwhile,the resistance to deformation,adhesion,and crack initiation and propagation of the sample surface is improved,resulting in enhanced wear resistance.

Constructing heterostructure is considered as an effective strategy to address the sluggish electronic and ionic kinetics of anode materials for sodium ion batteries(SIBs).However,realizing the orientated growth and uniform distribution of the heterostructure is still a great ***,the regulated novel CoSe_(2)/NiSe_(2)heterostructure confined in N-doped carbon nanofibers(CoSe_(2)/NiSe_(2)@N-C)are prepared by using Co/Ni-ZIF template,in which,the CoSe_(2)/NiSe_(2)heterostructures realize uniform distribution on a micro *** from the unique heterostructure and N-doped carbon nanofibers,the CoSe_(2)/NiSe_(2)@N-C deliveries superior rate capability and durable cycle lifespan with a reversible capacity of 400.5 mA h g^(-1)after 5000 cycles at 2 A g^(-1).The Na-ion full battery with CoSe_(2)/NiSe_(2)@N-C anode and layered oxide cathode displays a remarkable energy density of 563 W h kg^(-1)with 241.1 W kg^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1).The theoretical calculations disclose that the periodic and directional built-in electric-field along with the heterointerfaces of CoSe_(2)/NiSe_(2)@N-C can accelerate electrochemical reaction *** in(ex)situ experimental measurements reveal the reversible conversion reaction and stable structure of CoSe_(2)/NiSe_(2)@N-C during Na+insertion/*** study highlights the potential ability of precisely controlled heterostructure to stimulate the electrochemical performances of advanced anode for SIBs.
