Measuring urban thermal environment from accessibility-based perspective:A case study in a populous city

Understanding the spatial interaction among residents,cooling service,and heat risk area in complex urban areas is conducive to developing targeted ***,traditional urban thermal environment assessments typically relied on simple linear integration of associated indicators,often neglecting the spatial interaction *** explore the spatial interaction among the three elements,this study proposes an accessibility-based urban thermal environment assessment *** Zhengzhou,a rapidly urbanizing city,as an example,remotely sensed images from three periods(2010,2015 and 2020)were applied to extract urban green space(UGS)and hot island area(HIA).An improved two-step floating catchment area(2SFCA)method and bivariate local Moran’s I were employed to explore whether residents’clustering locations are more likely to access cooling service or to be exposed to heat *** results demonstrate that the UGS in the city has been expanding,whereas the HIA shrank within the inner city in 2015 and then increased in *** though the urban thermal environment may have improved in the last decade,the spatial interaction among the residents,cooling service and heat risk area could be *** autocorrelation shows an increase in locations that are disadvantageous for resident *** when sufficient cooling services were provided,residents in these areas could still be exposed to high heat *** developed urban thermal environment framework provides a novel insight into the residents’heat risk exposure and cooling service accessibility,and the findings could assist urban planners in targeting the improvement of extra heat exposure risk locations.

Lead-free halide double perovskite has received widespread attention due to its excellent optical ***,the lack of deep red light and poor heat quenching resistance severely limit its application in plant lighting *** this work,Ho3+was introduced into the thermally stable Cs2NaScCl6host,exhibiting a deep red emission of 660 *** constructing an energy transfer channel between Sb3+and Ho3+,the photo luminescence quantum yield（PLQY） of Cs2NaScCl6:1%Sb3+,40%Ho3+rises up to53.8%,that is increased by 17 times,and its emission intensity can still be maintained by 80% at 423 K,exhibiting good heat quenching *** obtained Cs2NaScCl6:1%Sb3+,40%Ho3+and Cs2NaScCl6:1%Sb3+with blue light emission were employed for fabricating a light-emitting diode（LED） device with a340 nm UV chip,and its emission spectrum matches well the absorption spectra of chlorophyll A and chlorophyll B with the high resemblance of 70% and 75%,making it suitable for use as an artificial light source to control the growth process of plants in the field of plant lighting.

Hard carbon(HC)is broadly recognized as an exceptionally prospective candidate for the anodes of sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),but their practical implementation faces substantial limitations linked to precursor factors,such as reduced carbon yield and increased ***,a cost-effective approach is proposed to prepare a coal-derived HC anode with simple pre-oxidation followed by a post-carbonization process which effectively expands the d_(002)layer spacing,generates closed pores and increases defect *** these modifications,the resulting HC anode attains a delicate equilibrium between plateau capacity and sloping capacity,showcasing a remarkable reversible capacity of 306.3 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.03 A·g^(-1).Furthermore,the produ ced HC exhibits fast reaction kinetics and exceptional rate performance,achieving a capacity of 289 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1),equivalent to~94.5%of that at 0.03 A·g^(-1).When implemented in a full cell configuration,the impressive electrochemical performance is evident,with a notable energy density of 410.6 Wh·kg^(-1)(based on cathode mass).In short,we provide a straightforward yet efficient method for regulating coal-derived HC,which is crucial for the widespread use of SIBs anodes.

Due to the low water-cement ratio of ultra-high-performance concrete(UHPC),fluidity and shrinkage cracking are key aspects determining the performance and durability of this type of *** this study,the effects of different types of cementitious materials,chemical shrinkage-reducing agents(SRA)and steel fiber(SF)were *** with M2-UHPC and M3-UHPC,M1-UHPC was found to have better fluidity and shrinkage cracking ***,different SRA incorporation methods,dosage and different SF types and aspect ratios were *** incorporation of SRA and SF led to a decrease in the fluidity of *** internal content of 1%(NSRA-1%),SRA external content of 1%(WSRA-1%),STS-0.22 and STE-0.7 decreased the fluidity of UHPC by 3.3%,8.3%,9.2%and 25%,***,SRA and SF improved the UHPC shrinkage cracking ***-1%and STE-0.7 reduced the shrinkage value of UHPC by 40%and 60%,respectively,and increased the crack resistance by 338%and 175%,*** addition,the addition of SF was observed to make the microstructure of UHPC more compact,and the compressive strength and flexural strength of 28 d were increased by 26.9%and 19.9%,respectively.

Variability is one of the typical observational properties of blazars and the spectral changes are usually associated with variability,although this kind of association is unclear *** this work,we used data from the Steward Observatory blazar monitoring program to investigate the optical variability properties including the short-term timescale,the brightness-dependent spectral property,the correlation between the the brightness variation and the polarization,and then estimate the Doppler factors based on the obtained short timescale to study the polarization property for a sample of 20 TeV *** analyses arrive at the following results:(1)The largest variation amplitude in R-band,ΔR_(M),covers a range from ΔR_(M)=0.29 mag(1ES 2344+514)to ΔR_(M)=4.66 mag(3C 279).(2)Intra-day variability was found from five sources with timescales from 0.14 day for S50716+714 to 0.98 day for PKS *** sources show spectra that are bluer when they become brighter,suggesting a common bluer-when-brighter property.(3)The plot of the polarization versus estimated Doppler factor is consistent with the Doppler factor dependent formula of polarization.(4)The largest polarization is correlated with the largest optical variation,suggesting that the high polarization and high amplitude variation are both the indicator of beaming effect.

Nowadays manufacturers are facing fierce *** from the products,providing customers with multiple maintenance options in the service contract becomes more popular,since it can help to improve customer satisfaction,and ultimately promote sales and maximize profit for the *** considering the combinations of corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance,totally three types of maintenance service contracts are ***,attractive incentive and penalty mechanisms are adopted in the *** this basis,Nash non-cooperative game is applied to analyze the revenue for both the manufacturer and customers,and so as to optimize the pricing mechanism of maintenance service contract and achieve a win-win *** experiments are *** results show that by taking into account the incentive and penalty mechanisms,the revenue can be improved for both the customers and ***,with the increase of repair rate and improvement factor in the preventive maintenance,the revenue will increase gradually for both the parties.

In contrast to the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans,the Indian Ocean has lacked in-situ observations of wind profiles over open sea areas for *** 2021,a shipborne coherent Doppler lidar(CDL)was used to observe in-situ wind profiles in the eastern tropical Indian *** equipment successfully captured low-level jets(LLJs)in the region,and their characteristics were thoroughly *** reveal that the observed wind speed of LLJs in the eastern Indian Ocean ranges from 6 m s^(-1) to 10 m s^(-1) during the boreal winter and spring seasons,showing a height range of 0.6 to 1 km and two peak times at 0800 and 2000 *** wind shear is weaker than that in land or offshore areas,ranging from 0 s^(-1) to 0.006 s^(-1).Moreover,the accuracy of the CDL data is compared to that of ERA5 data in the study *** results indicate that the zonal wind from ERA5 data significantly deviated from the CDL measurement data,and the overall ERA5 data are substantially weaker than the in-situ ***,ERA5 underestimates northwestward LLJs.
