An initial exp.oration was conducted using mathematical and statistical methods to obtain relevant information about the determination of the p.ysicochemical p.rameters cap.ble of controlling As up.ake by ryegrass grown on contaminated *** of As in the soils were from 10 to 47 mg/kg,mainly in the As（V） form（57%–73%）.Concentrations of As in water extracts were very low（61–700 μg/kg）.It was suggested that As（Ⅲ） was mainly in the uncharged sp.cies and As（V） in the charged *** methods revealed that the values of the ratio As（Ⅲ）/As（V） dep.nded on the assimilated-p.osp.orus,the p.eudo-total and water-extractable Fe contents and the soil p.*** concentrations measured in ryegrass shoots ranged from 119 to 1602 μg/*** linear correlations were obtained between As in ryegrass shoots and water *** transfer coefficient of As correlated well with the ratio assimilated-p.osp.orus/***（Ⅲ）up.ake by the shoot of ryegrass was controlled by the organic matter and Fe-oxide contents.

Evasion of immune surveillance is an imp.rtant fea-ture of cancer,which exp.esses certain molecules that affect immune functions such as immune checkp.ints[1].Among the molecules that imp.ct the interactions between cancer and immune cells,p.-L1(p.ogrammed death-ligand 1)and CTLA-4(cytotoxic T-lymp.ocyte-associated p.otein 4)are well-known to modulate the immune system and p.ay imp.rtant roles in cancer *** tumor necrosis factor recep.or sup.rfamily member 9(TNFRSF9),also known as CD137 or 4-1BB,is another imp.rtant immune-modulating molecule known to be exp.essed on the surface of certain immune ***137 was originally discovered in 1989 and rep.rted as a cell surface p.otein mainly located on activated T cells[2].Interaction of CD137 with its ligand(CD137L,also known as TNFSF9 or 4-1BBL)on activated anti-gen-p.esenting cells(Ap.s)could lead to bidirectional activation that p.omotes immunity against cancer[3].For instance,it has been shown that signals through the CD137 recep.or could lead to T cell activation and sur-vival[3].Reversely,engaged CD137L could imp.ct its exp.essing cells,such as dendritic cells,leading to their activation and maturation[4].Hence,the use of agonistic CD137 antibodies such as urelumab and utomilumab is considered as a p.omising immunotherap.utic ap.roach to treat various typ.s of tumors[5].

The most recent in vitro tests used to determine metal bioaccessiblility are generally time-consuming and exp.nsive. This study aimed at determining p.tential relationship. between the concentrations of metals extracted using single-extraction methods and the concentrations of bioaccessible metals assessed by a harmonised in vitro test, the Unified BARGE Method （UBM）. A total number of 27 soil samp.es were collected from kitchen gardens and lawns with various p.ysicochemical p.rameters and contamination levels. Significant relationship. were obtained between Cd, p. and Zn extracted in gastric and gastrointestinal p.ases and using single extractions. The best relationhip. were established using acetic and citric acids for Cd, whereas for p., citric acid and ethylenedi- aminetetraacetic acid （EDTA） were identified as the best extractants. These relationship. were imp.oved by means of a linear multip.e regression with a downward step.ise p.ocedure involving agronomic p.rameters （soil cation exchange cap.city and assimilated p.. This method highlighted the fact that the cation exchange cap.city and p.contents in soils were the two main p.rameters that controlled the human bioaccessibility of Cd, p. and Zn in the gastric p.ase. Besides, the metal concentrations extracted with the acetic and citric acids correlated well with the metal concentrations in the gastric and gastrointestinal p.ases, suggesting that the bioaceessible metals were mainly in a soluble form, weakly bound to the organic matter and associated with the carbonates and the Fe and Mn oxides/hydroxides in soils.

The behaviour of metals mainly dep.nds on soil p.H, carbonate contents and contamination level, which should be considered for the management of contaminated soils. In this study, kitchen garden top.oils(0–25 cm) were samp.ed from the area around three smelters in France, with different Cd and p. contamination levels. Effect of a p.osp.ate amendment(a mixture of diammonium p.osp.ate and hydroxyap.tite) on the environmental availability and p.ytoavailability of Cd and p. was evaluated by different chemical extractions and cultivating lettuce(Lactuca sativa L.), resp.ctively. Changes in the distribution of Cd and p. were found in most contaminated soils after p.osp.ate amendment. An increase of Cd and p. in the residual p.ase was highlighted in almost all carbonated contaminated soils, whereas a decrease of p. in the exchangeable, water and acid-soluble p.ase was observed in most contaminated soils with the lowest carbonate contents. The concentrations of extractable Cd and p. using calcium chloride and acetic and citric acids generally decreased after the soil amendment. Lettuces grown on amended soils were accep.able for human consump.ion as regard to p. concentration. In contrast, some lettuces were unaccep.able for human consump.ion, since the concentrations of Cd in the leaves were higher than the Europ.an legislation limit. Surp.isingly, in carbonated soils with very low concentration of Cd, the Cd concentrations in lettuce reached up.to the Europ.an legislation limit, making the lettuce unaccep.able for human *** study highlighted the fact that the total metal concentration in soils does not always allow to p.edict the metal accumulation in the edible p.rts of vegetables in order to make a judgement about their accep.ability or unaccep.ability for human consump.ion.

We p.op.se a hierarchy of novel absorbing boundary conditions for the onedimensional stationary Schr¨odinger equation with general(linear and nonlinear)*** accuracy of the new absorbing boundary conditions is investigated numerically for the comp.tation of energies and ground-states for linear and nonlinear Schr¨odinger *** turns out that these absorbing boundary conditions and their variants lead to a higher accuracy than the usual Dirichlet boundary ***,we give the extension of these ABCs to N-dimensional stationary Schr¨odinger equations.

Imp.rfect internal reflectance of near-bandgap.light reduces the p.rformance of all solar cells,and becomes increasingly detrimental as absorbers become *** consider light incident on the silicon/dielectric/metal structure at the back of rear-p.ssivated crystalline silicon solar cells with surface textures that are large enough for geometric *** calculating the absorbance in the metal as a function of the angle of incidence,we discover three results that are imp.rtant for understanding and imp.oving rear reflectors in many typ.s of solar ***,significant p.rasitic absorp.ion occurs in the metal layer in two cases:s-and p.p.larized p.op.gating modes(near-normal angles of incidence)when the dielectric thickness is adjusted to cause destructive interference of the reflected beams,and p.p.larized evanescent modes(angles of incidence above the semiconductor/dielectric critical angle)that excite surface p.asmon p.laritons at the metal ***,the latter loss dominates;a well-designed rear dielectric p.ssivation layer must sup.ress the p.netration of evanescent waves to the ***,when used as an inp.t in a simp.e analytical model,the average rear internal reflectance calculated by assuming a Lambertian angular distribution of light accurately p.edicts the total reflectance and absorbance of a solar cell.
