Background:Gastrointestinal(GI)cancers were responsible for 26.3%of cancer cases and 35.4%of deaths worldwide in *** study aimed to analyze the global incidence,mortality,prevalence,and contributing risk factors of the 6 major GI cancer entities[esophageal cancer(EC),gastric cancer(GC),liver cancer(LC),pancreatic cancer(PC),colon cancer,and rectal cancer].Methods:Using the Global Cancer Observatory and the Global Health Observatory databases,we reviewed the current GI cancer incidence,prevalence,and mortality,analyzed the association of GI cancer prevalence with national human development indices(HDIs),identified the contributing risk factors,and estimated developing age-and sex-specific trends in incidence and ***:In 2020,the trend in age-standardized rate of incidence of GI cancers closely mirrored that of mortality,with the highest rates of LC,EC,and GC in Asia and of colorectal cancer(CRC)and PC mainly in *** and mortality were positively,but the mortality-to-incidence ratio(MIR)was inversely correlated with the national HDI *** MIRs in developing countries likely reflected the lack of preventive strategies and effective *** cancer prevalence was highest in Europe and was also positively correlated with HDIs and lifestyle-associated risk factors,such as alcohol consumption,smoking,obesity,insufficient physical activity,and high blood cholesterol level,but negatively correlated with hypertension and *** of EC were consistently and those of GC mostly decreasing,whereas incidences of CRC were increasing in most countries/regions,especially in the younger *** of LC and PC were also increasing in all age-gender populations except for younger *** were decreasing for EC,GC,and CRC in most countries/regions, and age-specific trends were observed in PC and LC with adecrease in the younger but an increase in the older ***: On the global scale, higher GI c

Spondyloarthropathies(SpA) include many different forms of inflammatory arthritis and can affect the spine(axial SpA) and/or peripheral joints(peripheral SpA) with Ankylosing spondylitis(AS) being the prototype of the former. Extraarticular manifestations, like uveitis, psoriasis and inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) are frequently observed in the setting of SpA and are, in fact, part of the SpA classification criteria. Bowel involvement seems to be the most common of these manifestations. Clinically evident IBD is observed in 6%-14% of AS patients, which is significantly more frequent compared to the general population. Besides, it seems that silent microscopic gut inflammation, is evident in around 60% in AS patients. Interestingly, occurrence of IBD has been associated with AS disease activity. For peripheral SpA, two different forms have been proposed with diverse characteristics. Of note, SpA(axial or peripheral) is more commonly observed in Crohn's disease than in ulcerative colitis. the common pathogenetic mechanisms that explain the link between IBD and SpA are still ill-defined. the role of dysregulated microbiome along with migration of t lymphocytes and other cells from gut to the joint("gut-joint" axis) has been recognized, in the context of a genetic background including associations with alleles inside or outside the human leukocyte antigen system. Various therapeutic modalities are available with monoclonal antibodies against tumour necrosis factor, interleukin-23 and interleukin-17, being the most effective. Both gastroenterologists and rheumatologists should be alert to identify the coexistence of these conditions and ideally follow-up these patients in combined clinics.

A series of coesite,coexisting with or without a liquid phase,was synthesized in the nominal system SiO2-H2O at800-1450℃and 5 ***-Raman spectroscopy was used to identity the crystalline phase,electron microprobe and LA-ICP-MS were employed to quantity some major and trace elements,and unpolarized FtIR spectroscopy was applied to probe the different types of hydrogen defects,explore water-incorporation mechanisms and quantify water *** amounts of A1 and B were detected in the *** our results with the results in the literatures,we have found no positive correlation between the Al contents and the"Al"-based hydrogen concentrations,suggesting that previously proposed hydrogen-incorporation mechanism H^++Al^3+■Si^4+does not function in *** contrast,we have confirmed the positive correlation between the B contents and the B-based hydrogen *** hydrogen-incorporation mechanism H^++B3^+■Si^4+readily takes place in coesite at different P-t conditions,and significantly increases the water content at both liquid-saturated and liquid-undersaturated *** the SiO2-H2O system,we have found that type-Ⅰhydrogarnet substitution plays a dictating role in incorporating water into coesite at liquid-saturated condition,type-II hydrogarnet substitution contributes significantly at nearly dry condition,and both operate at conditions in *** water solubility of coesite,as dictated by the type-Ⅰhydrogarnet substitution,positively correlates with both P and t,cH2O=-105(30)+5.2(32)×P+0.112(26)×t,with cH2O in wt ppm,P in GPa and t in℃.Due to its low water solubility and small fraction in subducted slabs,coesite may contribute insignificantly to the vertical water transport in subduction ***,the water solubility of any coesite in exhuming ultra-high pressure metamorphic rocks should be virtually zero as coesite becomes *** an adequately fast waterdiffusion rate,this metastable coesite should be complet

As the first and rate-limiting enzyme of proline degradation, PROLINE DEHYDROGENASE1 （PDH1） is tightly regulated during plant stress responses, including induction under hypoosmolarity and repression under water deficit. the plant receptor histidine kinases AHKs, elements of the two-component system （tCS） in Arabidopsis thaliana, are pro- posed to function in water stress responses by regulating different stress-responsive genes. However, little information is available concerning AHK phosphorelay-mediated downstream signaling. Here we show that the Arabidopsis type-B response regulator 18 （ARR18） functions as a positive osmotic stress response regulator in Arabidopsis seeds and affects the activity of the PDH1 promoter, known to be controlled by C-group bZlP transcription factors. Moreover, direct physical interaction of ARR18 with bZIP63 was identified and shown to be dependent on phosphorylation of the conserved aspar- tate residue in the ARR18 receiver domain. We further show that bZlP63 itself functions as a negative regulator of seed germination upon osmotic stress. Using reporter gene assays in protoplasts, we demonstrated that ARR18 interaction negatively interferes with the transcriptional activity of bZIP63 on the PDH1 promoter. Our findings provide new insight into the function of ARR18 and bZIP63 as antagonistic regulators of gene expression in Arabidopsis.
