Uncertainty in Tropical Cyclone Intensity Predictions due to Uncertainty in Initial Conditions

Focusing on the role of initial condition uncertainty,we use WRF initial perturbation ensemble forecasts to investigate the uncertainty in intensity forecasts of Tropical Cyclone(TC)Rammasun(1409),which is the strongest TC to have made landfall in China during the past 50 *** results indicate that initial condition uncertainty leads to TC forecast uncertainty,particularly for TC *** uncertainty increases with forecast time,with a more rapid and significant increase after 24 *** predicted TC develops slowly before 24 h,and at this stage the TC in the member forecasting the strongest final TC is not the strongest among all ***,after 24 h,the TC in this member strengthens much more than that the TC in other *** variations in convective instability,precipitation,surface upward heat flux,and surface upward water vapor flux show similar characteristics to the variation in TC intensity,and there is a strong correlation between TC intensity and both the surface upward heat flux and the surface upward water vapor *** initial condition differences that result in the maximum intensity difference are smaller than the errors in the analysis *** in initial humidity,and to a lesser extent initial temperature differences,at the surface and at lower heights are the key factors leading to differences in the forecasted TC *** differences in initial humidity and temperature relate to both the overall values and distribution of these parameters.

In this paper,we focus on trajectories at intersections regulated by various regulation types such as traffic lights,priority/yield signs,and right-of-way *** test some methods to detect and recognize movement patterns from GPS trajectories,in terms of their geometrical and spatio-temporal *** particular,we first find out the main paths that vehicles follow at such *** then investigate the way that vehicles follow these geometric paths(how do they move along them).For these scopes,machine learning methods are used and the performance of some known methods for trajectory similarity measurement(DTW,Hausdorff,and Fréchet distance)and clustering(Affinity propagation and Agglomerative clustering)are compared based on clustering ***,the movement behavior observed at six different intersections is analyzed by identifying certain movement patterns in the speed-and time-profiles of *** show that depending on the regulation type,different movement patterns are observed at *** finding can be useful for intersection categorization according to traffic *** practicality of automatically identifying traffic rules from GPS tracks is the enrichment of modern maps with additional navigation-related information(traffic signs,traffic lights,etc.).

This article investigates China's central-local dynamics in the process of adjusting regulatory discrepancies among different levels of government from both legal and political *** finds that in China’s central-local interactions,legal practices have been rather limited and only developed lately,and political practices have long been in place to fill the blank left by legal practices and accommodate China's growing rule of law in the contemporary *** legal practices,this study explores the legislative review interactions between the central and local state organs which have been opaque and experience a leap forward from 2017 with China's advancement of the rule of *** for political practices,this study focuses on two types of interactions between the central and local governments,top-down campaigns and bottom-up *** and bargaining have a long history in China’s central-local dynamics and intertwine with China’s contemporary legal development in policy-making and implementation *** on data collected from China's practical governance,this article attempts to provide a roadmap in the explanation of the patterns of central-local dynamics from a multi-disciplinary angle and contributes to a comprehensive understanding of China5s central-local dynamics that smooth central-local tensions and drive China forward along the economic development path as a monolith.

以华东地区某生活垃圾渗滤液处理厂为例,检测分析了点源引起恶臭异味的主要致臭物质,结合工程案例提出了恶臭气体分块处理的方案,还介绍了除臭工艺的选择、除臭设备设计的相关参数以及项目运维过程中遇到的问题和解决方法。除臭设备稳定运行后,对除臭系统的排放口进行了连续跟踪检测,检测结果表明:除臭系统排放口硫化氢排放速率、氨排放速率、臭气浓度均低于《恶臭污染物排放标准(征求意见稿)》(GB 14554—2022)规定的限值(0.06 kg/h、2.4 kg/h、1500)。

Application of novel radio technologies and equip-ment inevitably leads to electromagnetic ***-dimensional polymer-based composite membrane structures have been shown to be an effective strategy to obtain high-performance microwave ***,we reported a one-dimensional N-doped carbon nanofibers material which encapsulated the hollow Co_(3)SnC_(0.7) nano-cubes in the fiber lumen by *** charge stacking formed between nanoparticles can be channeled by longitudinal fibrous *** dielectric constant of the fibers is highly related to the carbonization temperature,and the great impedance matching can be achieved by synergetic effect between Co_(3)SnC_(0.7) and carbon *** 800℃,the necklace-like Co_(3)SnC_(0.7)/CNF with 5%low load achieves an excellent RL value of−51.2 dB at 2.3 mm and the effective absorption bandwidth of 7.44 GHz with matching thickness of 2.5 *** multiple electromagnetic wave(EMW)reflections and interfacial polarization between the fibers and the fibers internal contribute a major effect to attenuating the *** strategies for regulating electromagnetic performance can be expanded to other electromagnetic functional materials which facilitate the development of emerging absorbers.

采用熵权法-TOPSIS模型法,从农业生态资源状况、农业环境污染与破坏程度、农业生态环境保护力度和农业经济发展水平4个层次对2008—2020年新疆和田地区农业生态环境质量进行评价。结果表明,2008—2020年,和田地区农业生态环境质量总体向好,由差等水平转变为中等水平。和田地区农业生态环境保护方面的工作取得了一定成效,但仍存在一些问题和挑战,需要根据各指标反映的情况采取相应的改进措施,以提高当地生态环境质量。

The complexity and uncertainty in power systems cause great challenges to controlling power *** a popular data-driven technique,deep reinforcement learning(DRL)attracts attention in the control of power ***,DRL has some inherent drawbacks in terms of data efficiency and *** paper presents a novel hierarchical task planning(HTP)approach,bridging planning and DRL,to the task of power line flow ***,we introduce a threelevel task hierarchy to model the task and model the sequence of task units on each level as a task planning-Markov decision processes(TP-MDPs).Second,we model the task as a sequential decision-making problem and introduce a higher planner and a lower planner in HTP to handle different levels of task *** addition,we introduce a two-layer knowledge graph that can update dynamically during the planning procedure to assist *** results conducted on the IEEE 118-bus and IEEE 300-bus systems demonstrate our HTP approach outperforms proximal policy optimization,a state-of-the-art deep reinforcement learning(DRL)approach,improving efficiency by 26.16%and 6.86%on both systems.

目的探讨良恶性甲状腺嗜酸性肿瘤(HCN)的临床病理特征。方法回顾性分析2016年1月至2023年6月于南京中医药大学附属医院确诊为HCN,并行甲状腺手术治疗的73例患者的相关资料,根据术后病理结果分为嗜酸性腺瘤(HCA)组63例和嗜酸性腺癌(HCC)组10例,分析比较两组的临床病理特征,采用logistic回归分析HCN良恶性的影响因素,并用受试者工作特征(ROC)曲线评估各因素对HCC的诊断效能。结果两组在一般资料、合并症、病理学特征、甲状腺功能、免疫组化特征方面,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05)。HCC组肿块直径小于HCA组[0.75 (0.38, 1.00) cm vs 2.20 (1.25, 3.15) cm,Z=2.595,P=0.009],双侧切除比例高于HCA(30.00%vs 6.35%,P=0.049)。Logistic回归分析显示,肿块直径(OR=0.311,P=0.022)、是否双侧切除(OR=0.118,P=0.040)与HCC独立相关。ROC曲线分析示,肿块直径诊断HCC的曲线下面积(AUC)为0.756,最佳截断值为1.1 cm,敏感度0.794,特异度0.800。结论肿块直径对于判断HCA和HCC有重要意义。

The coronavirus diseases 2019(COVID-19)caused by the infection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)emerged in December 2019 has caused more than 140 million infections worldwide by the end of April *** an enveloped single-stranded positive-sense RNA virus,SARS-CoV-2 underwent constant evolution that produced novel variants carrying mutation conferring fitness *** current prevalent D614G variant,with glycine substituted for aspartic acid at position 614 in the spike glycoprotein,is one of such variants that became the main circulating strain worldwide in a short period of *** the past year,intensive studies from all over the world had defined the epidemiological characteristics of this highly contagious variant and revealed the underlying *** review aims at presenting an overall picture of the impacts of D614G mutation on virus transmission,elucidating the underlying mechanisms of D614G in virus pathogenicity,and providing insights into the development of effective therapeutics.
