Background:The human epidermal growth factor(HER2/neu) oncoprotein is composed of an intracellular tyrosine kinase portion,a short transmembrane section,and an extracellular ligand-binding domain(ECD). The latter is frequently cleaved from the surface of breast cancer cells and the serum HER2 ECD levels can be detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Consistent with majority of reports,our prior study showed that high circulating levels of the HER2 ECD indicates poor prognosis in 207 patients with metastatic breast *** the present study,we aimed to elucidate whether serum HER2 ECD levels would predict the clinical outcome of metastatic breast cancer patients.

There are striking similiarities present between the behavior of invasive placentaL cells and that of invasive cancer cells. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are one of the most important mediators. MMP-28, the new member of MMPs, was sequenced and identified recently. Expression of MMP-28 mRNA and protein in the cytotrophoblast cells and a choriocarcinoma cell line, JEG-3 cell, was conducted by zymography, RT-PCR and Northern blot. There is MMP-28 mRNA expression in both the cytotrophoblast cells and JEG-3 cells by RT-PCR. The activity of MMP-28 in cytotrophoblast cells was significantly weaker than that in JEG-3 (P < 0.01) by zymography. Furthermore, mRNA expression of MMP-28 was significantly stronger (P < 0.001) in JEG-3 than in human cytotrophoblast cells in a time-dependent way by Northern Blot. Our results suggest that MMP-28 may play a role in some of the tissue-remodeling events associated with normal pregnancy and tumor progression.

A two-year field experiment conducted under dryland conditions in semi-humid and drought-prone regions of China aimed to assess the effect of ammonia-oxidizing bacterial on maize water use efficiency and yield.A heterotrophic ammonia-oxidizing bacteria(HAOB)strain S2_8_1 was *** treatments were applied:(1)no irrigation+HAOB strain(DI),(2)no irrigation+blank culture medium(DM),(3)no irrigation control(DCK),(4)irrigation+HAOB(WI),(5)irrigation+blank culture medium(wm),and(6)irrigation control(WCK).Results revealed that HAOB treatment increased maize growth,yield,and water use efficiency over controls,regardless of whether the year was wet or *** improvement was attributed to the accelerated nitrification in the rhizosphere soil due to HAOB inoculation,which subsequently led to increased levels of leaf ***,these findings suggest that HAOB inoculation holds promise as a strategy to boost water use efficiency and maize productivity in dryland agriculture.

Existing machine learning potentials for predicting phonon properties of crystals are typically limited on a material-to-materialbasis, primarily due to the exponential scaling of model complexity with the number of atomic species. We address this bottleneckwith the developed Elemental Spatial Density Neural Network Force Field, namely Elemental-SDNNFF. The effectiveness andprecision of our Elemental-SDNNFF approach are demonstrated on 11,866 full, half, and quaternary Heusler structures spanning 55elements in the periodic table by prediction of complete phonon properties. Self-improvement schemes including active learningand data augmentation techniques provide an abundant 9.4 million atomic data for training. Deep insight into predicted ultralowlattice thermal conductivity (wm^(−1) K^(−1)) of 774 Heusler structures is gained by p–d orbital hybridization analysis. Additionally, aclass of two-band charge-2 Weyl points, referred to as “double Weyl points”, are found in 68% and 87% of 1662 half and 1550quaternary Heuslers, respectively.

This study proposesan over all framework for applying wireless manufacturing(wm)technologies in a smart factory and establishes a smart factory data computing and information using system (dc-IUS). Several plug-and-play (PnP) application modules of the dc-IUS are presented in the fields of machining process and quality control,material flow and inventory control,and factory resource tracking. Different schemes are discussed about how and where to apply these functions. Then some running examples are studied to demonstrate the feasibility and reliability of dc-IUS. At last,the challenges of applying wm are discussed and a conclusion is given.

Background Chronic heart failure （CHF） had been characterized as an activated sympathetic system leading to the alteration of adrenergic receptor （AR） levels in the heart. Thus far, not much research has been done with regard to traditional Chinese medical treatment for CHF. We investigated the effect of Shexiangbaoxin pills （SXBXP） on the function of the heart and the expression of a1-AR and b-AR subtypes in the messenger RNA （mRNA） levels and protein levels of non-infarction left ventricular tissue from rats with CHF induced by myocardial infarction.Methods Models of CHF were established by left anterior descending coronary artery ligature. Fifty-four Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups： normal control group （group A）, sham operation group （group B）, CHF model group （group C）, positive medicine control group （group D）, and small-dose SXBXP group （group E） and large-dose SXBXP group （group F）, deployed intragastrically. Cardiac function was examined by echocardiography before and after therapy; mRNA expressed levels were measured by semiquantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） for b1-AR, b2-AR, b3-AR, a1A-AR, a1B-AR, and a1D-AR; protein levels were measured by Western blotting analysis for b1-AR, b2-AR, a1A-AR, a1B-AR, and a1D-AR in non-infarction left ventricular tissue.Results There was no significant difference in the left ventricular ejection fraction （LVEF） between groups A and B. Compared to group B, LVEF of groups C, D, E, and F were significantly decreased （P 〈0.01） before therapy. After therapy, compared to group C, LVEF of group F was significantly improved （P 〈0.05）. Compared to group B, b1-AR and a1B-AR expressed levels were markedly decreased （P 〈0.05）, a1A-AR and b3-AR were significantly increased （P 〈0.01） in group C, and in both mRNA and protein expressed levels b2-AR had no significant difference between groups B and C （P 〉0.05）. a1D-AR mRNA levels were unchanged in each group （P 〉0.05）, but a1D-AR
