Background: Milk lipids originate from cytoplasmic lipid droplets(LD) that are synthesized and secreted from mammary epithelial cells by a unique membrane-envelopment process. Butyrophilin 1 A1(BTn1 A1) is one of the membrane proteins that surrounds LD, but its role in bovine mammary lipid droplet synthesis and secretion is not well ***: The objective was to knockout BTn1 A1 in bovine mammary epithelial cells(BMEC) via the CRISPR/cas9 system and evaluate LD formation, abundance of lipogenic enzymes, and content of cell membrane phospholipid(PL) species. Average LD diameter was determined via Oil Red O staining, and profiling of cell membrane phospholipid species via liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS).Results: Lentivirus-mediated infection of the cas9/sg RnA expression vector into BMEC resulted in production of a homozygous clone BTn1 A1^((-/-)). The LD size and content decreased following BTn1 A1 gene knockout. The m RnA abundance of fatty acid synthase(FASn) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma(PPARG) was downregulated in the BTn1 A1^((-/-))clone. Subcellular analyses indicated that BTn1 A1 and LD were co-localized in the cytoplasm. BTn1 A1 gene knockout increased the percentage of phosphatidylethanolamine(PE) and decreased phosphatidylcholine(PC), which resulted in a lower PC/PE ***: Results suggest that BTn1 A1 plays an important role in regulating LD synthesis via a mechanism involving membrane phospholipid composition.

Thin films of SnSe and SnSe2 have been deposited using the ultrasonic spray pyrolysis（USP） *** the best of our knowledge this is the first report of the deposition of SnSe and SnSe2 thin films using a single spray *** use of a single spray solution for obtaining both a p-type material,SnSe,and an n-type material,SnSe2,simplifies the deposition *** SnSe2 thin films have a bandgap of 1.1 eV and the SnSe thin films have a band gap of 0.9 *** Hall measurements were used to determine the resistivity of the thin *** SnSe2 thin films show a resistivity of 36.73 Ωcm and n-type conductivity while the SnSe thin films show a resistivity of 180 Ωcm and p-type conductivity.

6,8-Dimethoxy-3-[2-（4-methoxyphenyl）ethyl]isocoumarin was synthesized by condensation of 5,7-dimethoxyhompophthalic acid with 3-（4-methoxyphenyl）propanoyl chloride. The structure of the synthesized compound was confirmed by its mass spectrometric studies. The synthesized compound serves as a model for synthesis of DL-agrimonolide.

The process of mixed rare earth metal (REM) conversion coating on aluminum alloy LY12 (2024) was introduced. The corrosion resistance of mixed REM conversion coating was examined by using weight loss test and electrochemical method. The results show that the mixed REM conversion coating increases the corrosion resistance of the alloy surface. Examination result of scanning electron microscope (SEM) shows that the coating exhibits honeycomb-like feature. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis reveals that the coating is amorphous. The result of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) indicates that mixed REM conversion coating consists predominantly of Ce and O. The contents of other rare earth elements (La, Pr) are relatively low.
